Acting President Guy Scott has urged Patriotic Front (PF) members to remain strong and aim at winning the January 20 presidential election in honour of the late President Michael Sata.

Dr. Scott urged the PF members not to relent but remain united and focus on winning the January 20 presidential election for continuity of the development which was started by Mr. Sata.

He stated that Mr. Sata’s legacy still lives on and will continue to be carried on by all PF members across all the ten provinces of the
country.

The Acting President said the PF still has a lot to do for the people of Zambia based on the foundation that it was formed on as a pro-poor political party.

Dr. Scott said this when he addressed a rally at Nchanga North grounds in Chingola yesterday.

At the same rally, over fifty United Party for National Development (UPND) party members led by losing councillor in the 2011 elections Edward Kaluba defected to join the ruling PF.

And receiving the defectors, PF Secretary General Davies Chama urged the party members to welcome and work together with all the new members from other political parties.

Mr. Chama further urged the PF members to put all grievances aside and remain strong and united in order to support their candidate in the January 20 presidential elections Edgar Lungu.

Meanwhile, Acting President Guy Scott has appealed to the people of Kalulushi to vote for the Patriotic Front (PF) for continuity.

Dr. Scott said it was important for people to vote for the PF in order for the party to finish the development that was left by the late President Michael Sata.

Dr. Scott said this in Kalulushi yestrday during a PF rally held at Kaunda Square.

He said it was not just a matter of political talk but that the people were able to see what the PF had done in the three years it had been in power.

He said he did not come to Kalulushi to talk about change, but ask the people of Kalulushi to vote for Edgar Lungu and the PF on the 20th of January.

Dr. Scot said the only time the people of Zambia wanted change was when the MMD came into power in 1991.

He said if only the people of Zambia voted for the PF with their two years remaining, they would do wonders as they had already made development in the areas of health, education, roads and many more.

And speaking earlier, Kalulushi Member of Parliament (MP) Rayford Mbulu said Kalulushi district was 100 per cent PF as they appreciated everything that the PF had done.

Mr. Mbulu said for the first time in the history of Kalulushi the people have had a general hospital.

He said people were able to see individually and collectively what the PF had done in Kalulushi and all the ruling party was asking for was a vote which would continue with the developmental projects in the area.

Dr. Scott, who was accompanied by Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili, Local Government Minister Emmanuel Chenda and Kalulushi Member of Parliament Rayford Mbulu was in the area to drum up support for the PF candidate Edgar Lungu.

    • Creating real jobs, improving the education system, lowering the cost of living, supporting farmers, providing cheaper healthcare, building BETTER roads and infrastructure. This is what HH promises to deliver. Lungu, if you have a vision and you believe you are the right candidate then accept HH’s invitation to a live televised debate to discuss these issues. HH is ready anytime.

    • Honor Sata??? Serious I agree with @1 Tore.
Sata’s time was full of mess…. calling the same f@#$%king Edgars as useless ministers. During the time of the A-team (Sata, Scott & Kabimba) there was total mess…. with their Judge Ngoma body-guard!
      Where is George Chellah?
Scott is lost, he is white sheep among black goats!!!

    • At times I get disappointed with Scot. Honour a man of violence, regionalism, insults, alienation of other Heads of State, arrogance, tribalism, womanizer chaos?
PF face the truth you have destroyed the very moral fibre of the Zambian people as a whole.

    • @SOS 7. I believ u r Monde !!

Wht Legacy ? Even in USA there r FORMER PRESIDENTS who r NOT REMEMBERED thts how life is MR Scott e.g George Washington, JFK….etc are among the MOST revered, they will FOREVER BE REMEMBERED.

IN Zambia we ve KK, FTJ and Mwanawasa they will FORVER BE REMEMBERED.

Its a life of ‘NATURAL SELECTION’ & we cant control it only God knows. Even in music its there e.g TUPAC will forever be remembered.

It DOESNT MEAN tht “EVERY PRESIDENT should be REMEMBERED”.

MEMBERS: YES! BOOSTELE! WE WILL WALK ON WATER IN JANUARY.

GUY (to himself): I think I will stick around to watch this miracle from state house with HH.

    • If the minority from bantustan never saw anything positive in Sata (MHSRIEP), we cant blame your still developing capacity and capabilities to understand life in general and positive development initiated and augmented by Sata and PF.

Surely, we dont expect an Hunder five to read, or clean itself after soiling the diaper

The majority across the country appreciate what PF has done and continue to do in just three years and thats what wins votes.

Vote PF, Vote Edgar C. Lungu

On January 20, 2015, Halelusa Hagain

    • “No.” is the simple answer to your request Guy. You know better than to bring this up. or maybe you did it deliberately so we don’t forget the maladies of Sata’s rule?I see what you did there, Guy.

And we’re still waiting for you to publicly come to the other side….we are already assured that you’re doing the right thing secretly in the ballot booth…..

  1. Sorry Mr President Zambia is not for Sata or PF or UPND or MMD, it below to every Zambian citizen. Sata is died and as a nation we have moved on. If ask votes to vote for PF to honor Sata then your party has no vision. No wonder you choose Lungu to led you!

  2. Creating real jobs, improving the education system, lowering the cost of living, supporting farmers, providing cheaper healthcare, building BETTER roads and infrastructure. This is what HH promises to deliver. Lungu, if you have a vision and you believe you are the right candidate then accept HH’s invitation to a live televised debate to discuss these issues. HH is ready anytime.

  3. Really honour him for what? thuggery, running of government to one tribe. Indeed Sata is to blame for the violence going on in Zambia. No wander God took him early sorry to say but, he was a bad man no wander there is confusion in PF even when he is gone.Let him go the man is dead and aint comming back.

  4. If you enjoyed the last 3 years under PF then you will vote for PF indeed. I think of lies about Sata’s illness, lies about the 90 days promises including releasing the Constitution, decline in cost of living, depression of the Kwacha, Nepotism, corruption, violence etc…Surely Zambians is this what we want to vote for? No no no we are too smart for this.
Vote UPND and HH our only hope for Zambia

  5. Why is this ka Scott running around all over the country talking rubbish? Why can’t he come up with something with more substance?

You see all you kids out there who contemplated the idea that your black skin makes you inherently inferior thinkers. Now here is ka Scott who blows that idea right into oblivion. Skin color has nothing to do with it. Absolutely nothing.

  6. UPND will rule this country no doubt about it, but it’s not now, they need to make changes to its leadership. Most likely UPND will win in 2090. Kekekeke. The truth hurts. Viva Lungu

  7. Unlike other CB towns PF has done much in Chingola in the last 3 years this we know.

With the coming in of Edgar Lungu, the KTW -CNN dual carriage way will be completed and all other outstanding roads especially the one that leads to nchanga north general hospital

Some credits to Sata , it was only 3years

Viva Edgar man of humility and man of continuity

    • Everyone talks about development, building of hospitals etc. some of these hospitals are white elephants. Most of these hospital are under staffed with rude medical personnel with an appalling attitude, lack sufficient drugs etc. How much has PF done to improve the poor? How have they moved them on? Building of roads yes but who enjoys these? Is it the poor or those with money? Has the poor man’s lot improved? Is there more money in their pockets as promised?
Development is not just about infrastructure it is also about personal development. It makes for a better place. It motivates people to work too. This comes about if leaders have empathy with the needy.

    • What have u seen in Chingola? Simuusa has failed in Chingola. The only road i see is one central going to his office. Buyantashi, kasompe, lulamba and chiwempala roads are all disaster. He Even had the guts to come back. No wonder the message was that these elections are not to change Government, but to replace SATA. They are damn scared. Who ever votes for PF in Chingola, should have his or her interest examined

  8. Honour him for what?the man was a tribalist big time.He fired chirwa so that his truck company SWift and his friends the post, gbm and many other can not go out of business. You are going papa.what have you done just in chingola.you have been a govt without policy direction.Today you wake up and you want a welfare shinga shinganani. He was one of the worst president ever ruled. He put more money on roads knowing he will get 10% of each contract. No dear

  9. I feel sorry for all of you HH supporters. You are busy demonising PF and yet your same mouths are full of hate, venom and anger. HH is only. Popular online. If you really care for HH , go out and help him campaign out there. I must say, I am sorry come 20th January, 2015, it’s Edgar Lungu. God’s fooliishess is wiser than the wisdom of Man. Only the humble and wise have discerned the will of God. God help Mother Zambia. Viva PF! Viva Flight Chagwa EDL 2015!

  10. You really dont sleep on PF seriously giving you headaches please the doubting Thomas its a already done d3al for pf and this election Lungu has very little to in terms of campaigning but just to present himself to people that so the same Sata you were insulting and still insulting even in his grave did a good job in three years and deserves total respect .We shall honour him and not in the same way no.GO PF GO

    • Do you understand that the ruling party is PF, and the republican president is PF? The other parties are contesting this position. That means their party will be the ruling party and the republican president will be from that party. THEY ARE CONTESTING PF WHO CURRENTLY HOLD THE POSITION!!

So don’t come back with this nonsense about ‘not sleeping on PF’. They are not supposed to “sleep on PF”! Sha!

  11. Professional,

Chingola should have been UPND stronghold by now but alas they were busy zambianwatchdogging on ZWD

    Viva EDGAR

  12. I thought Guy Scott, who is well vested in the English language, would not missuse words like “honour”. It is folly to ask suffering people to “honour” someone dead by voting for a guy who will make their suffering worse. Clearly, this is not honour. It is cruety asking people to continue suffering when they have a choice for an improved life.

  13. Its surprising to know that the acting president is shocked with condition of roads in chingola. Why would he be shocked now when they are soliciting for votes to honour the late president? Why should chingola residents honour him when Chingola has been neglected by PF despite being there for them from the time they were in opposition? May be this question should be directed to the area MP for chingola central consituency who was supported by the residents even when he was in opposition? People are tired of politicking and come 20 January we will vote to prove our dissapointments for the party.
We did everything we could to bring PF in power but chingola residents have been disspointed and left out from development. Come election day the vote will decide who to honour period!

  14. You guys which saviour have you seen in HH to continue shaping this country from where the grate one ended . Please we are talking about running a country not a farm even the leadership styles differ at both levels at least if we talking about running a farm yes I will agree with you but on the other side no the man don’t anything about how government runs no wonder why he argue on everything. GO PF GO

    • No wonder your english is pathetic. Your reasoning is low. Is the teacher who taught you english still alive? He would surely disown you

  15. Mpalush
Thats your fault who cheated that you can pass English through sms, you sound to be very backward get on the boat and come out from the bondage of blindness to avoid heart attack after jan 20th.Any way keep on marking my work if thats what will help your HH.GO PF GO EL.

  16. To HH and UNDP thanks for being good grooms-mate. Your particition has letigimased Lungu presidency as a democratic process..

  17. Wrong Mr G. Scot. I am from Chingola and I left when the town run into meltdown. It used to be the most beautiful city in the country. Now it is dilapidated and an eyesore! How do we honour Sata? For driving our beautiful town down the doldrums and drains? How do you go and campaign in an area which was so prosperous under other presidents and when PF came into power became “decapitated”? I bet Kambwili you were as shocked as all of us to find your former town, where you worked as G7 (chibombebombe) looking such an eye sore?
And I thought Scot you were classy? Is it not troublesome Guy Scott for you to go campaigning for continued failure? As a Cambridge economist,I honestly expected better from you.But then, you share the same broth with EL don’t you?

  18. Look at developmental projects they did in less than 3 years as compared to 21 years wasted years, surely we need to give them chance to rule for the next 21 years also.

  19. there is a hidden issue about pf.

bembas should not think Edgar will shield them. they r wrong.

look at how rupoah is working hard for lungu, it will be hard my friends, very hard.

personally, i think HH has the capacity to reconcile zambians against execessive greed seen in sata’s government.

    it wont be easy
