OPPOSITION Forum for Democracy and Development President Edith Nawakwi says both Edgar Lungu and Hakainde Hichilema are a danger to Zambia’s peace and security if elected to be President.

Ms. Nawakwi explains that anyone who wanted power “At All Costs” should not be given an opportunity to rule the nation as their intraparty violence would be extended to the entire nation.

And Ms. Nawakwi has described as unacceptable the violence which has continued characterising PF and UPND campaigns.

Speaking when she addressed a rally in Malole constituency in Mwingu District and Senga Hills in Mbala district, the opposition FDD leader said both PF and UPND would bring anarchy in the country if voted into office and she had no apology for describing PF and UPND violent campaigns as stupid and rubbish.

“PF and UPND are abusing the county’s peace by engaging into violent activities. If you vote for Edgar Lungu, you will allow a violent party to form Government. They (PF and UPND) have no heart for the poor as can be seen by their violent behaviour.

“Allowing PF to continue would be risking our children and those who will be born in PF era to violence as violence breeds violence ‘Umwana wampombo em empombo ene.”

Ms. Nawakwi is currently the most experienced presidential candidate among all the candidates vying for the country’s top job on January 20 as can been seen in her serving in four Ministerial positions that includes Finance and Energy.

The soft spoken but goal oriented leader further reminded Mbala resident that she was the one who connected Senga Hills and other areas in the country to the national electricity grid the time she served as Minister of Energy.

Meanwhile, FDD Campaign Manager who is former Malole Independent MP Emmanuel Munaile, said there was no candidate in the presidential race who could be compared to Ms Nawakwi.

Mr. Munaile said Ms. Nawakwi saved in UNIP and MMD Governments in different portfolios hence her experience was massive.

“Ms Nawakwi is one strong woman that country has ever had. She is a better candidate than all men contesting in the 20th January 2015,” he said.

Mr Munaile said if Malole and Senga Hills constituencies do not vote for Ms. Nawakwi they would be drowning their future.

He said PF had failed Malole and Senga Hills residents and advised them not to vote for a failed party.

Ms Nawakwi is in Northern Province on a campaign trail and she is this week expected in Muchinga province to deliver her campaign message.

  1. Danger is bantustanism of HH and the entire regional Chiefs endorsing secession from Zambia but tsking developments of roads and powerstations. Its not Zambia’s best Defense Minister who is the incoming 6th President ECL. He has shown maturity, national security, stability and resolve.

    • @Mwenya, you a bigotted joker. What stability is with PF and that drunk you call Edgar. A digressed lawyer guilty of misappropriating clients money. Edgar is visionless and clueless. he wants to continue with Sata’s legacy but he is working with people Sata fired and despised e.g Emmanuel Mwamba RB. PF went further and removed RB’s immunity and toy come here and talk of maturity. HH 2015

    • What did Nawakwi achieve for Zambians in each of those positions?
That’s what political experience is about. Anybody can hold a position.

    • mwenyo you are also blind supporter so you cant see the best candidate to rule zambia to be HH shame for you.dnt just judge HH he is the right candidate and you will benefit dnt just be cheated my friend be frank ch
iefs have lived in zambia for ages and they do things from experience no you just an yeasterday child.

    • We know she is better candidate, but Nawakwi is Nawakwi, she likes insulting men. I will never forget when she called Chiluba while she was minister and he was president ati “.. iwe chi-kala-cobe”.

  2. Nawakwi plse don’t say that to those two boy, because the Election is between HH and El.
Just concentrate on Grabbing other fellow women’s husbands ok ba Mayo Nawakwi

    • @Mau mau you are out of order! You are attacking the privacy of your nemsis and no-one here is talking about your EL character! Please apologise and be a man! I challenge you!

  3. So nawakwi wants to be president at no cost? Trouble with nawakwi is everyone can hear her ranting but nobody is listening. I have not heard anyone endorse her not even marketeers. This sadly is the reality of zambian politics its about names and numbers!

  4. Because you worked in govt does not give you an advantage to rule Zambia. You are one of those who messed up and benefited from corrupted govts. Kaunda became president of Zambia . Did he work in any govt before ruling the country?

  5. Nawakwi is just having an endless presidential dream but now she has completely lost her way to the dream destination hw can she intermingle HH and lungu she is nescient and a ning nong

  6. Ba mayo Nawakwi, yes “umwanawampombo empombo yine”, But an impala is a good animal, why did you not use the known term ” Umwana wa Nsoka ni Nsoka” , call a spade a spade- PF is very vicious and dangerous to the Nation. So let us form UPND to eradicate it completely.

We know that the PF on 20 January will scatter and leave Lungu and Banda in their eyes fofolototoo.

  7. You may be right, Edith. Yes we know that among 15 million Zambians, there is a better person somewhere but that person is unbeknown to us. So my dear, as the two gentlemen happen to be the front runners in these by elections, they are the real choices that Zambians have before them today.

  8. Compare Nigeria’s lady Finance Minister, Ngozi Iweala’s, CV to that of Nawakwi and other lightweights we entertain as presidential or ministerial, deputy ministerial material:
Okonjo-Iweala was educated at the International School Ibadan and Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude with an A.B. in 1977, and earned her Ph.D. in regional economic development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1981. She received an International Fellowship from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) that supported her doctoral studies.[9] She is married to Ikemba Iweala from Umuahia, Abia State,[10] and they have four children. The eldest, Onyinye Iweala received her Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from Harvard University in 2008 and graduated Harvard Medical School…

    • cont:
in 2010. Her son, Uzodinma Iweala, is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Beasts of No Nation (2005) and the newly released thoughts on the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa [Our Kind of People] (2012).

Prior to her ministerial career in Nigeria, Okonjo-Iweala was vice-president and corporate secretary of the World Bank Group. She left it in 2003 after she was appointed to President Obasanjo’s cabinet as Finance Minister on 15 July 2003.

Compare Ngozi’s career, education, family life paths to those of people we seek to place in higher office! If you pick from the bottom of the barrel, you will fetch whats at the bottom of the barrel.
