  1. Nawakwi was a star yesterday!! So refreshing to see a smart Zambian woman in her element and outshining the guys. You have my vote! Women lets vote for this smart woman.Lets have female president for two years at least. Then the ‘gentlemen’ can slug it out in 2016

    • PIC 21 kikikikikiki HH with red eyes, I think he was drunk and he smoked cigarets before the debate began kikikikiki, or maybe the puffs from cows got him drunk kikikikikikiki

    • Disgraceful and disrespectful of EL yo not attend, and however you interpret it, that is an own that may come to haunt. Tus was an opportunity to win over some undecided votes,

The man who cannot even wear a suit as well as a presidential candidate is equally useless.

Overall, I was skeptical of this whole thing, it appears it was done professionally and to see those dignitaries in attendance is a credit to the whole Muvi TV.

WHo won is irrelevant, what is relevant is that EL should have been there and he is pushing some people away from him

The PF are losing it here.

      Thanks
      BB2014

    • This was a wonderful debate and all those who participated should be commended. I definitely left feeling I knew more about each candidate.

Green Party provided many laughs and a high vision that has solutions from thinking outside the box.

Nawakwi knows her stuff and deserves to be in higher office.

Chipimo found his sparkle and showed his brilliance.

Mumba held his own and showed his potential.

HH was on solid ground through out and impressed me.

The caliber of performance was high and engaging. More of this.

The refusal of ED to reach out, introduce and define himself on this platform is disappointing for those who expect more of an emerging dictator than I do. Chuckle.

    • Edgar anakolewa ku Solwezi yesterday. He couldn’t even watch the debate up to the end. Maybe nichifukushi. He was just falling from his stool on several occasions until he had to be whisked away from the bar to avoid further embarrassment.

    • This MAFI is the campaign too for UPND. I am glad my EDGAR did not attend. We do not need their publicity to win this election. I am here in Shiwangandu and none of the voter ever heard of this nonsense about debate.

    • I wish President Muliokela was there too… us poor people need proper representation
      Imagine a panel of:
      Nostradamus
      Muliokela
      Ndobo
Mushota (she is solid like Nawakwi)
      Edgar Lungu

We need our day as well.

    • Elias was the revelation of the debates. Certainly a brilliant man and president in the making. Perhaps with the right backing, he can take over from Edgar Lungu in 2021

  2. DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania – Tanzania has banned witch doctors in a bid to curb a rising wave of attacks and murders of albinos whose body parts are prized for witchcraft after a four-year-old albino girl was kidnapped from her home by an armed gang.
More than 70 albinos, who lack pigment in their skin, hair and eyes, have been murdered in the east African nation in the past decade for black magic purposes, according to United Nations figures, many hacked to death and body parts removed.
The government has accused witch doctors of fueling these killings by luring people to bring albino body parts which they grind up with herbs, roots and sea water to make charms and spells that they claim bring good luck and wealth.
The nationwide ban come less than a week after U.N. officials urged the…

  3. It Was nice, and i really felt good to be Zambian. WHEN listen to brilliant Zambians living in a poor country due to poor leadership

Here is how i rated them

Chipimo – Well prepared – Superb
HH – Looked exhausted and tired But always Visionary – Exellent
Mumba – Very careful and stead – Powerful
Nawakwi – Cool and collected.Very Good.
Sinkamba – Marijuana commedy – Wonderful

    Lungu – Zero
    Miyanda – Excused

    • BLOOD THIRSTY CAN`T YOU SEE THAT EVEN THE TONG WAS ASKING FOR SOME MORE. ELO BA MOREEN SURE YANING WITHOUT EVEN PUTTING HER PALM ON THE MOUTH? IN PUBLIC LIKE THAT? WHAT A PRIMITIVE AND NAIVE WAY, THAT IS WHY THE OTHER TIME SHE WAS POCKING HER NOSE IN PUBLIC LIKE NO MAN`S BUSINESS. SHAME.

    • He was thinking about H.E. Edgar Chagwa Lungu. Lungu is far ahead of the Under Fives. Just check the faces of Dipak and Maureen, confused, hey.

Whilst they wasting this precious time EL was interacting with voters.

Viva Edgar Lungu. Show them sir.

    • He was so tired having flew from Livingstone in the night to mamba,Chiyawa,Lusitu, chirundu and Sinazongwe were he held several rallies. He was actually dressing up in the chopper on the way to Lusaka. You can see his commitment.Thank God he made it.

    • He could have been too exhausted but had to be there to respect you the voter.
or you might need to change yo sonitronic plasma ,it might
      be mixing colors for u.

  4. Red eyes are a sign of danger. Please Zambians be very careful with red-eyed candidates. Before we know we will be congregating under water.

    • I too cannot vote for a person who loves red colour if e is a man. Red eyes, red berets, red ties, red blood, red tounge. Awe natina!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Edgar Lungu is a disappointment. Despite heavy campaign trails HH managed to go the debates. He looks tired. Has sleep in his eyes.

But knew that people wanted to hear him debate issues. Managed to shrug all these aside and made it to Mulungushi.

    Edgar Lungu…NOW SHOW!!!

    VOTE FOR HH!!!!!! KWASILA

  6. If you truly understand how affairs of a country should run, you will agree that Edith Nawakwi would make a good leader. Her presentation was outstanding. Open up your eyes people, vote wisely.

  7. Dr. Maureen Mwanawasas picture shouldn’t have been included.
As much as we appreciate that yawning symbolizes tiredness, particularly after a good run in Muchinga, this picture is not the best to describe how tired she was.

It may be interpreted as lack of attention.

  8. Four days to go. Eleven (11) candidates contesting in the presidential bye election with diverse motives or intentions, i guess. Among them, some want to go to plot 1 just to be called Mr. President while others want to be there to be servants of the people (having the issues affecting the people of Zambia at heart). I cant tell who has what motive.

I just pray that God can choose for us.

  9. Ba Muvi how about another round of debates, this time for campaign managers, am sure a Willie Nsanda vs. Dipak Patel duet would be a marvel to watch

  10. viva HH u made it despite him being tired but some shanned an important event thinking thy are intelligent 20th will come HH is carrying a day and shame will feel those who think they are very important that they cant attend such a meeting.

  11. is this a debate? this is jst an interview and o presidential candidates hav bn intervied b4. the only difference is the venue and the anti lungu facilitator who hs neva interviewed candidates. lungu u did well not to waste yo time and every minute is counted in this dying minutes. hav a safe compaign in southern p and take care

  12. The idea of the debate on its own is good but
candidates who have attended this debate have never won in Zambia’s history.

This tells you who the winner is. It’s EL for the avoidance of doubt.

The only way to make this debate relevant is to constitutionalize it.

Let me say one thing: If a family head and dependents had to debate about how to care for the family the dependents will win because they don’t have experience. To them/dependents all is possible. This is why inexperienced people usually win debates.

This is why it might have been a good idea for EL to stay away from people without leadership experience.

  13. Zambia is not ready for a red-eyed president.

Such eyes have the potential to scare away the investors.

    Please try again later.

  14. Useless and foolish PF candidate for failing to attend the debate. How can Zambians Vote for a ghost which is not seen on public but only heard to anterfear …………………………………..

  15. Edgar’s supporters caught pants down. You are always shallow in debating national matters..HH was busy and looked tired but he managed to come and debate. If Edgar was scared to copy and paste publicly just admit and that is his problem. He thinks he has already won Lusaka and CB, HE will be shocked. His absence did not save his face and many learned people ALREADY know that he has no vision hence most dull Presidential candidate so far.

Even Mulyokela has a plan to pay students k10,000 allowances.

Bravo , HH, CHIPIMO,NAWAKWI,MUMBA AND SINKAMBA true sons and a daughter of Zambia.

    God bless you.

  16. excuses never help. its a sign of failure. all candidates there needed to campaign yesterday but they had to postponed so Zambians can hear them on a different platform. lungu is a shame. my vote goes to mumba

    • Edgar Lungu started late to campaign because someone put a spell on PF. But because he is chosen, God reversed everything and Edgar is 6th President of the Republic of Zambia. It is your democratic right to vote for anyone you think is the best candidate. I like Mumba as a person, but yours is a wasted vote dear.

  17. Wonderful debate, a Good move towards democracy, good governance, rule of law,

Zambia shall never be the same come Tuesday Next week.

There was no best candidate coz each one was good at explaining their party ideas.

  18. You People why go for a debate when you are the defending champion! People will vote depending on what they know and have seed and not what you say! Ifintufintumwene! EL on Tuesday.

  19. ….from the undesired photos displayed, one can easily tell the ‘immaturity’ of the LT editorial team….photos showing Maurine texting(without the face), yawning, candidates going to pee etc….what is really the age group of the LT editorial team….??…very embarrassing journalism indeed…

    • kikikikiki, cow dung smoke indeed. Sinkamba must have given him to sample; no wonder he was the last one to come on the podium.

  20. I think the Zambians now know that these UPND chaps have been just vocal and advancing a dull candidate on their party. When Mr. Sata said HH is an Under Five, very few including me understood him but there you are, that’s the HH people have been making noise about, beaten clean by Chipimo and Nawakwi hence those red eyes.

Viva Edgar Lungu, you are too intelligent to be interviewed by Mwansa the TV Station Manager. Where was the Director of Programs?

UPND will continue living in denial til somebody bold enough within its ranks stands up and tells HH that enough is enough.

And why was Maureen yawning? Their campaign gimmick (interviews) backfired on them big time.

    Ifintu ni Lungu

    • Yaba it must be very hard to be a PF cadre this time. I will be very truthful with you. HH had the best day yesterday. And without doubt, he won the most

  21. So proud of my country. We are well on the way to a better democracy. I’d been crying for a live debate for quite a while.

To the candidates – Thank you for the respect you accorded us – yes, even the Green party candidate.

    Well done true Patriots!

  22. HH performed well in all the parts of the debate. He could drop 3 to 4 points in every 2 minutes allocated.Nawakwi was so good in the area of Good governance.but she lacked the balance in certain parts.Mumba started well but failed in economy part ,I also expected him to do well in foreign policy but he started talking of USA and cuba I saw the USA Embassador showing some dissapointment on his face.Chipimo was so fast and fluent and combined his words well but he was not consistent with his points. Those who are good at listening were able to notice that. The cannabis guy was playing comedy.overall HH was balanced in all angles ,Mannerism,Gestures he just excellent only that he was tired.

  23. Its always painful to be a PF cadre in the error of lungu. I think one can even take tablets to easy the pain.

  24. Kaminamisa who was to represent the landlord was not in attendance what’s the meaning of this. Yes if HH was tired, the truth stands that campaigns are tiresome!! He was for sure from field work where our people that are being tortured economically by the Satanic regime are!! The question still remains unanswered! Where was Vodka who shade tears for plot 1?? What were his contributions, economically, poverty reduction, governance …..?? Why do you argue from abstract? what picture did those dignitaries had regarding your Changwa’s absence?? Are you not ashamed of this? If you can not be then you have died brains!! And the fact is unless you apply all the magic that you know for you to win these elections!! Otherwise you are in for it and it’s a fact!! Actually no one accepts defeat…

    • @ wise ,awee!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont be bitter, its too ealy to show such kind of desperation, stop panicking coz its not going to help you just accept that yo HH is not sellible , he needs too clean out tribalism in his party first then come back take on this game other otherwise i dont see him become president of Zambia any time soon . IFINTU NI LUNGU!!!!!!

  25. debates like this should regular, 2 to 3( ZNBC, MUVI TV and any other platform),before elections and should be compulsory.
    keep it up MUVI TV

  26. this dabate was not objective , the audience was not given enough time to ask serious questions away from the usual laid down program , for instance i exepcted the audience to ask HH how far he has gone in fighting triblism in his party , and, if he is aware that 9 out of 10 people supporting him are tongas . these are the things i expected HH to clarify. so for me this debate was baseless

  27. Zambians never cease to amaze me, Sata never attended a debate organised by anti -pf people yet he won the elections, no one kod him dull. Lungu misses the debate people call him different names , whats the difference between what he has done and what Sata did? Haters just get this into your heads that PF party does not wast time on useless debates organised by biased presenters and Tv stations………..we will carry the day anyway. IFINTU BWATO.

  28. EL supports never make sense. Not even a single point on the issues.

The candidates that showed up gained political mileage with undecided voters in the swing provinces of LSK and CB. The net loss was on PF.

  29. If the debate was organized by another TV station EL could have been there. But not Muvi TV which is so biased in reporting. The whole was planned by UPND to discredit EL.

If EL was in attendance you could have seen HH getting so emotional. That is why you seen his eyes red kwati in mufwi

  30. I am glad my EL was not there, that water (mineral) can’t be trusted. EL is too sharp for these he knows too well what is at stake- i am very sure he will do it in a different way. VIVA EL, VIVA PF, PABWATOOO!

  31. I am also glad EL did not show up. The standard of debate was very high. He would not have matched.

Imagine being told to talk to Dr Phiri when asked about education.

    Proven Failures

    • PF cadres were going to watch from under blankets, behind newspapers or from under the table. The PF supportes were going to defect to give UPND their votes.

      Viva #FlightHH2015.

  32. Don’t miss today Presidential Debate Muloikela vs Chagwa vs Miyanda. Presenting ZNBC. You cant afford to miss this one!

  33. Etiquette, Mrs Mwanawasa, social graces, madam, always remember to cover your (big) mouth as you yawn. Muletusebanya with such bad manners!

  34. 1.Picture # 21. HH’s red eyes look as though he has been stoned. Are you a partaker bro HH?
    2. Picture # 31. Maureen should learn to cover her mouth with her hand when yawning, I thought that was part of the etiquette first ladies are supposed to have.

    Great pics Lusaka times.

  35. The debate exposed hh as an under five and some one with hollow understanding of national issues. Governance is not about talking text book theories. ECL did not have to be there, it was a platform for those seeking to take over from the ruling party. Tawina kale! PABWATOOOO!
