It must be sweet to rule in Zambia

Share

candidates

Recently a friend of mine said to me “get your act together you Zambians and elect your new leader sensibly”. I took this as joke and laughed it off. Looking at what is happening in the political arena in Zambia at the moment I think my friend was right. What on earth has gone wrong? I can see total confusion with no proper direction, before you comment, this has been my observation and I will explain why.

From the moment it was announced that Zambia needed a new leader a lot of people joined the presidential race from different corners. Most of these people are those that have actually tasted the fruits of being in leadership before and they know how sweet the fruits can be. This gave me the impression of how sweet it is to rule in Zambia. Some have resurfaced from nowhere and now claiming to be supporters of who they think will win the elections. Violence is only found where there is confusion and unfortunately it leads to damage to property and harm to innocent people. The reported violence should not have occurred if there was no confusion, very sad. This is nothing but due to the love of money and selfishness by these people.

My message to the people of Zambia is not to take part in the violence but to sit down and think who the next leader should be. Most of these people have been there forever some under different political parties and they are still promising better this and that. What is it that they are going to do different this time? Beware of empty promises and remember the saying which goes “empty tins make the most noise” let’s give a chance to new leaders that have never preyed on tax payer’s’ money before and if they fail we shall kick them out next year.

Vote peacefully and sensibly.

    • Well Written. It is true, all we want is to vote for People who lie to us. Let us vote wisely and think of our poor fellow Zambians.. that together we improve lives of all.

think that what even decision you make?? voting for a wrong candidate will only hum any innocent sores. let us be fair and think..

Vote for People who can make significant change.. than be fo.ooled because of money they are dishing out. Take their money and don’t accept violence and do not vote for them..

    • Zambians shall indeed vote for a new leader who has never preyed on public resources, not the one who preyed off national assets to foreigners, liquidated mines and raped Mongu by taking cold storage cattle to Choma, molested Livingstone by giving exclusive access to Sun International, the original inhabitants have no access to Mighty Zambezi near Victoria Falls.

We will vote wisely and that vote is going to EL, humble and genuine leader. No more empty tins making too much noise.

    • Florence, your friend is 99.9% right. That has been my observation for a long time. The problem that 90% of the voters don’t know is that Zambia is rich and great potentials. But what’s denying that prosperous to be proceeding at a higher level is the POLITICS OF POVERTY AND GREEDNESS. There’s a lot at stake because politicians just wants Tulyemo whilst pretending to represent the people. It’s very sad Mr Sata died. The other thing is, the super powers envy China for having the economical investments in Zambia, so be careful as UK and USA are acting behind CATS like HH. I hope EL get the most votes to finish what Sata started although I would prefer a young leader. It’s a new world.

    • Dear Zambia,
      THIS IS INDEED SHOCKING
      google `freemasory in Zambia’
      HEADLINES
      then go

`is freemason a factor in zambia’

Hakainde Hichlema has been in CULTIC DEMONIC SATANIC FREEMASON culture for 15years
as well as nixon banda former ACC.

HH is initiated and is a full member

Bishop Chomba was correct by publicly exposing HH !!!

it is true HH is a satanist freemason.

HH is busy suing pipo wen it is TRUE

      FOOLISHNESS

    • What is voting sensibly or voting wisely? Can someone give an example.

      People perceive issues differently.

There is no such a thing as a wise or unwise vote, it is called a vote of one’s choice

      My choice is Edgar

    • Why anyone would want to run when they know they have not even a slightest chance of winning is beyond me. Do they get paid for running? Do they incur any campaign costs at all? Don’t they have a better way to invest their time? Eleven presidential candidates is simply too large a number in a country as small as Zambia.

    • @Mei Matungu

when one’s vote is free, that vote which has not been bought by the aspirant is a sensible vote. i hope this answers your question.

    • A DRUNKARD AND A PAGAN CAN NOT BE THE BEST IN A CHRISTIAN NATION WHICH NEEDS A GOD FEARING LEADER TO CLAIM GOD’S BLESSINGS FROM OUR CREATOR. GOD HAS PROVIDED THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE WITH HIS OWN SERVANT HH TO LEAD US. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? FOR HOW LONG WILL YOU CONTINUE TO BE RULED BY EDGAR LUNGU’S TEAM OF LIARS? LUNGU IS A BIG LIAR JUST LIKE SATA WAS. SATA DID NOT LEAVE ANY GOOD LEGACY, ONLY THAT OF CROOKEDNESS AND OF DICTATORIAL. VIVA HH VIVA. ON TUESDAY ZAMBIA IS CASTING A VOTE FOR HH! I AM VOTING FOR HH TOO.

  1. Most Zambian men smell like BAKAPOLI and expect their wives to wash and shave their stinking dirty penises ati ni African culture ifiko fyeka fyeka. Kanti Neva!!!
This backward culture is so outdated, plz learn to groom yourselves like all civilized human beings do, your wives are not there to smell your filthy stench!

    • @Dorika Ndaifulila

Mukashana, ishe chefu. Now lets talk about the new govt (UPND) that will begin official functions next week.

    • White people bath once a week, while black people bath everyday. Now who stinks between the two? Just because your boyfriend stunk does not not give the audacity of saying that every African is dirty.

    • @ dorica ndaifulila

We are discussing how sweet it is to rule zambia then you bring your husband/boyfriends you smell like bakapoli!
      No wonder ulaifulila! filthy whore!

    • So true Dorika. Bemba monkeys smell. Us tonga we bath everyday, sometimes twice a day, other days thrice a day. It is time to divorce Bembas and marry tonga President. No dirty smell and fingers in anus.

    • Dorika, white people stink here especially right now in the winter. And also the FAT ones. My first days in America when I was using the public library, OMG I was holding my breath periodically which didn’t work. People stink everywhere but for Africa it’s due to less income/resources.

    • Bushe iwe Dorica when yu say most men smell like bakapoli do mean to say yu have slept with most of them? In case u r lost which I think u are, The task of shaving pubic hair is a mutual exercise. The wyf shaves de hubby and de he does lyk wise. But because yu grew up in a broken home where parental guidance was next to zero u cnt know anything about mwambo, ulutambi. Pliz dnt open your shallow mind to share on issues u understand little about.

  2. You are spot on Charity.Though HH will win soundly, the fact that the PF candidate even had a slight chance leaves a lot of us very baffled by the levels to which some Zambians are ready to stoop because of mediocrity.PF is the worst thing that ever happened to Zambia and the sooner we dump them in the dust bin of history, the better it is for this country.

    • LINDA, This is not about bemba’s but MOST ZAMBIAN MEN. Infact bemba’s are the most hygenic followed by easterners. Everytime I’m around most Zambian’s it smells BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD

  3. PF is wining period. HH as usual will be voted by his pipo who claim it’s time for Tonga to be a president. For them it’s about being Tonga not on merit. We can’t vote for such a leader who came into politics through tribalism. His supporters in 2006 publicly announced that UPND can be only led by a Tonga. No wonder Sakwiba Sikota is not a president of UPND.UPND had a chance to redeem itself after the death of Mazoka but again failed to shake tribe tag.To make matters worse UPND through Munkombwe publicly said it’s time for a Tonga to rule. After a Tonga,it’ll be for a Lozi then Luvale. What a party!!!!I can’t vote for such a tribal party.Tonga pipo are not tribalists but UPND leaders are full of hatred speeches against other tribes. In addition to that PF has done a lot in Zambia.

  4. And during a radio programme on Radio Mano
later, acting President Scott said: “It will be
    cheap politicking to recognise Chitimukulu
now. We need to do it in an orderly manner.
As soon as we have a proper government, not
one of 90 days, we will recognise the
    Chitimukulu.”

Those are the words of mai Guy Scott VERY NEUTRAL WORDS.

PF was a bad Govt and HH will control things.

  5. Kikiki ati tribal party to win.Mukaivota guys mu UPND.Zambian pipo have seen tribalism in UPND.HH will be retired.HH ni kabolala wa ma mines. He sold Zambian mines and hotels. He killed Luanshya by selling Ramcoz. He sold Lima bank and zambian hotels.Teti tuvote HH.To make matters worseeeeeeeeeeeeeee he is a tribalist who thinks about Tongas only.Hakaivotela Humwine (HH).Aleisa aleisa alepitilila ku monze .

    • YOU ARE HIGHLY TRIBAL. YOUR HEAD IS STINKING DIRTY MINDS. YOU ARE THE THIEVES WHO HAVE BEEN PULLING ZAMBIA ALL THESE YEARS. WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT, HH IS COMING TO CLEAN THE MESS LIKE YOU ARE SUCH BIG MESS. TONGAS ARE THE REAL OWNERS OF ZAMBIA FOR YOUR OWN INFORMATION. READ YOUR HISTORY. GIVE CHANCE FOR OTHER TRIBES TO ALSO RULE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT? YOU DON’T OWN ZAMBIA YOU!

  6. Florence Chalabesa is pseudo name. Day dreaming Zambians are clever and beyond the rubbish we outside the country are reading. Florence for your information, to understand politics better you need to serve just as the American or British politics are.
I read Prof Ndulo contribution from the post , start was well balanced but the end was biased and did not make sense as a learnt person would have considered opposition MPs serving one the current administration. The MPs frm UPND refused to serve as they wanted to follow their party instructions . Does Ndulo think Sata would have just appointment someone from the street and serve as minister of be deputy minister? This a man who claims to be a prof of law who lacks the better understanding politics. Wait HH in 2024 wins and see his…

  7. Reuters are reporting that, “Quiet Zambian Lawyer favourite to win…”, while ZWD are scary saying Elections will be rigged.

    • That is what is in Reuters:

But with no reliable opinion polls, few experts are keen to call a clear winner in the contest to succeed President Michael Sata, who died in office in October aged 77.

“Lungu has the edge but there are so many unknowns this time around,” said Alex Ng’oma, a political analyst at the University of Zambia. “It’s too close to call.”

  8. As we vote wisely remember the 65 years of retirement plus the 5 years of waiting for your package!!!!! Remember also your child at college, brother, nephew, nice, your husband and wife to be waiting to be employed in the next 10 to 15 years to come!! Those who feel Change a is their best, are spared from this fact!! Good day and God bless Zambia!

    • Bakapoli chaminyonga ka!

Mwabâ ukufwala amashinsha yaba sungu. Umusungu ngaposa kaputula yamashinsha mwabula mwalafwala. Ebu Kapoli ubôbwine ba makaka.. lelo elyo mwise mulande ati mulasamba.. tsk.. tsk.. kwati pali nokusamba mufyumbusu fwakwimba, Ngamwafuma mulenukafye amafi yeka yeka.
Ngatêba sungu nanomba nga mwenda fye ubwamba, umusungu ni LESA ni bwana wenu mulamupepa.. nangu lelo muponte.

    • You are just wasting your time clinging to non issues. HH is winning whether PF rigs or not. Just start telling your thieving relatives to start planning how the will live in prisons.

    • NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT STATEMENT. ZAMBIA HAS ALREADY TESTED LEADERSHIP FROM EASTERN. THE NEW CONSTITUTION DEMANDS THAT OTHER PROVINCES SHOULD BE GIVEN CHANCE TO RULE, AND IF THIS NEW CONSTITUTION HAS TO START WITH TONGAS WHAT’S WRONG WITH THAT? GET REAL SMALL HEAD. WE NEED TO GIVE EACH OTHER CHANCE. NO SINGLE TRIBE IN ZAMBIA SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DOMINATE THE REST. ZAMBIANS ARE ON TUESDAY VOTING FOR A YOUNG AND VISIONARY LEADER CALLD HH OF UPND. VIVA HH VIVA! VIVA UPND VIVA! VIVA ZAMBIA VIVA! ZAMBIA FORWARD!

  9. My appeal kuli Ba Edgar Lungu. Boss we know that you have already won these elections by landslide. Please ensure that you continue with massive projects embarked by the late MCS(MHSRIP) and ensure that u put Zambian plight first especially the poor of the poorest

  10. Not really sweet, someone would say ‘ it is like a few bald men fighting over a comb’. The country is on its knees and people are lining up to milk it even further. I feel soory for the rural people who have to see helicopters hovering over their heads every five years, while their stomachs are rumbling with hunger pains.

  11. @Dead know whwt? Banoko pakukufyala tabashindile bali namashinsha. Echowutontonkanishisha so nolupato. Amashinsha got into yo mouth just there. Go ask yo mother.
The article above supports leaders like hh, Chipimo, and others.

    • LINDA It is you and your tribe that must be eliminated you coachroaches!! Bemba’s are GODS! Without them you would be worthless .

  12. Though the Leadership for those political parties should have Zambia at its fingers in all corners , balancing there political discourse and manifestos to ensure thorough candidates

Very few have balanced up on all sectors affecting the policy political Zambia framework both internal and the world in particular

Economic issues were by far not the most-often mentioned with scalping comments not well fitting for each corners of Zambia to fit in, with one in three not citing them as priorities.

    Priorities Economy
    (20%)

    Energy
    (15%)

    Education
    (10%)

    Health Care
    (5%)

Other not well spelt out in the campaigns
    (50%)

E.g tourism foreign policy and economic…

  13. HH IS THE MAN OF THE YEAR! 2015 IS FOR HH. IT IS INDEED BY GOD;S DESIGN THAT HH BECOMES THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF ZAMBIA. THIEVES IN PF ARE READY TO STEAL LEADERSHIP FROM THE ZAMBIAN PEOPLE WHO ARE READY TO CAST THEIR VOTE FOR HH, BUT THEY WILL FAIL IN THEIR DIRTY PLANS. GOD HAS ALREADY DECIDED FOR ZAMBIANS. LET NO ONE IMPOSE A LEADER ON US. ZAMBIANS HAVE SETTLED ON HH. WE NEED A BRAND NEW PARTY WITH A BRAND NEW YOUNG ZAMBIAN TO RULE ZAMBIA. VIVA HH VIVA! VIVA UPND VIVA! VIVA ZAMBIA VIVA! ZAMBIA FORWARD!

    • @TRUTH

You’ll make yourself sick to the soul with all the tribal hatred you have spilled ….EVEN. On a sabbath.

This Tribal anger and violence is senseless. Tongas have no more rights to Zambia as does none of the other Tribes. You make reference to a long time in history that is no longer relevant. It’s like Original Native Americans trying to take over USA today as a tribal right!

The history of man is all about migration, starting from Stone Age man moving upwards in Africa to populate all other continents. Different skin colours immerged due to pigmentations. Imagine trying to reverse ALL that to return to the caves in Africa! Do you understand what I am saying here?

WE ARE NOW ALL ZAMBIANS UNDER ONE FLAG. Go to vote and hope for Majority Democratic right to…

  14. Your HH needs to have industrial clusters well understood and aligned

He is far from Being a President in my own view he can make well as an MP for a start and use his energies wisely to push for his agenda as Zambian President

He is a good man and will marry his daughter away from politicians for reasons best known to my self purely intellectual mind transfer to help me create a fortune and wealthy except that he needs to be guided properly He has the energy and tenacity though

For these elections Edgar Lungu will win Tuesday come Wednesday He has a balance of people at behind him to marshal the support for Presidency and come Wednesday

  15. @TRUTH

WE ARE NOW ALL ZAMBIANS UNDER ONE FLAG. Go to vote and hope for Majority Democratic right to rule.

EVERYONE get off social media. Give it a rest and come back TUESDAY!

  16. FEAR of RIGGING-ITS fear of the UNKNOWN!

Mwebena Zambia namipapapata….just go and vote! This is psychological bullshit to scare you from voting….The whole idea is to create a Voter aparthy which works to the advantage of PF….You are all very learned coluegues, just vote and wait for results…..We have plenty of observers apart from PF and UPND,,,your votes are very safe and rigging an election is not as easy as what is being described here and in ZWD,,,,This Government has no capacity to outplay modern IT or even jam communications effectively without shutting down the entire system,,,Who has ever experienced ATM,online Bank thefts,,,you have to manipulate the server and have a number acccess passwords and its not as easy as it sounds….”In War,its Called Psy War”…..
    Mambilima We…

  17. we don`t hate HH we love him very much because is our fellow Zambian and the issue of tribe we don`t vary it much. the only problem he has he does not listen if only he could start as an MP and repent from being a freemason(devil worshipers) believe me or not is going to make a good President. Mr HH just do that us Zambians will support you it is never to late don`t listen to people who after you money and give fake support.

  18. The irony of being in the diaspora is that you automatically are classified as an armchair critic. That’s why some of us have come back to cast our vote then we will go back to our adoptive country. Truth be told, I didn’t expect to see what I have seen in Zambia, if we move at this pace of development, Zambia will be one of the most developed countries is Africa. Kudos to PF for the massive infrastructure development they have implemented. I doubt any economic manager is going to score more than what PF has done. I endorse the candidature of Edgar Chagwa Lungu as the man fit to keep Zambia on this growth trajectory. It will be premature to change government now and we may end up losing the gains we have thus far recorded. For my friends and compatriots in the diaspora, seeing is…

  19. I am voting for a leader not a slave…

I am voting the best man for Zambia not a drunkard

I am voting for someone with a vision not visionless

Win or loss, i would have voted for the best. Conscious free.

    I am voting HH
