Mr Hichilema addressed thousands at Woodlands Stadium yesterday afternoon. Mr Hichilema stressed the issues surrounding the high cost of living and the impact that this was having on Zambians across the nation. “The cost of living is too high. Remember our children, remember the widow who cannot feed her children when you vote”.
Mr Hichilema noted that the cost of living was something that could be rectified by an UPND government, “everything we need God has given us and yet there are poor children, children who go to bed hungry. This does not add up, what is missing is quality leadership”.
Chawama Constituency Chairman Edward Lesa and other notables of Chawama such as the Ward Chair and the Treasurer also spoke at the rally. Lesa noted that he had left the PF due to the persistent “use of pangas”.

It is very obvious those chaps were PF cadres in UPND regalia.
