UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says his party has the names of all Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) officials who allegedly conspired with the ruling Patriotic Front to steal his votes in the just ended presidential election.

Addressing a media briefing today, Mr. Hichilema has also maintained that his loss in the presidential election was a clear manipulation from all stages of the electoral process.

Mr. Hichilema says any Zambian can therefore tell that his party’s victory in the just ended polls was allegedly stolen from him.

He however says despite what happened he still has great respect for ECZ Chairperson Irene Mambilima.

Mr. Hichilema says this is because when his party made complaints to Justice Mambilima, she listened and did allow for a verification of results from 32 constituencies.

    • Go to the courts of law and prove it. You just don’t expect to jump from the 3rd position in 2011 to number 1. Like him or not,Sata was a great politician and built a strong party. Lungu did not win the election on his own, but he won because of Sata and what Sata built in 10 yrs which is PF. As UPND, I think it’s time to go for a general conference and get a better party president.

    • He is a cry baby boy. Forget about his ranting, he is very immature. What is key is Eddie won for the betterment of Zambians

    • me, i was just sitted on a rock still mourning about our (me and UPND) stolen votes and our illegal loss,,, when my phone rang! it was my anuty, yes you guessed right, my Anuty the vice president of Zambia. i answered respectful well mannered lozi boy on the phone,,,,
Anyway the Good news is i have been offered a job by PF govt through my anuty,,, and now am thinking maybe what happened during the elections was a blessing for me to get a job,,, am very sad leaving my friends in the oppostions especially @ Nostradamus to go and drink with ba lungu ,,, please my friend @Nostra understand,, am going to make room for you in the PF govt,, i can ask my Anuty for you if you want!!

    • Stolen? Yes, especially by Daniel Arap Monkombwe’s diarrhea of words during that meaningless eleventh-hour endorsement you received from him.

    • Unfortunately you all cannot be winners. Mine, telling you to start all over again for the 5th time.

It amazes me that HH’s party has been saying that they had or knew the people that were rigging elections before the final tally, yet they failed to produce evidence to force ECZ, to halt the process.

Bring these names so that these people must not commit the same crimes again in 2016.

Its a bit too late… after the opinion polls had you at 80% and Lungu at 20%.

    • We don’t want people Like HH who cannot accept defeat and is inciting the country into division and hopelessness. This is treason.

    • HH, I sincerely sympathize with your situation. Like I said before, this recent election was your very best shot at the Zambian presidency. Any excuse for your loss from you, no matter how plausible, is sheer wasted effort. It’s high time you gave chance to other fellow Zambians within UPND to try their luck. You had yours. It hasn’t worked. It may never work.

    • I do not believe the nation believes the UPND over this but we all realise that a loser will always have an excuse – Sata did that so many times but never faulted the ECZ when he won.
All the verified votes were accepted by everyone concerned including the churches who conducted their own PVT.
Why should we only believe those of the UPND? Has HONORABLE Mambilima put it; “If we stole the votes, then the UPND were in it too”…

    • HH under five politician you live in a dreamland ask VJ tried and failed, Anderson Mazoka tried failed.
Until death you will never govern our precious country Zambia.

    • I’m shocked at the level of ignorance being portrayed. But then, It is because majority of you condemning HH for trying to better your lives don’t know any better. You don’t realise that with what Zambia has in terms of resources,we could be far better than SA and Botswana. I supported Sata and voted for him because as health minister he brought change in the healthcare system. I thought he will translate it to the country, alas, was I wrong! Yes I will campaign for HH even he doesn’t know I exist! Do I believe Lungu has got a chance of doing better for the country? A BIG NO! The guy has no morals!! How do I know? The list is endless…. he was deregistered as a lawyer, RB, associations with people who are morally corrupt

    • TRIBAL HH STILL CRYING OVER HIS FACUPS. TRY IN 50 YEARS TIME OR SO AGAIN. HOW CAN LUNGU STEAL YOUR VOTES WHEN GUY SCOTT WAS SO STRICT ABOUT GOVERNMENT RESOURCES USAGE, AND IN THE PRESENCE OF SO MANY INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL OBSERVERS? JUST SHUT IT MAN.

    • Oh c’mon HH, give it a rest!

Why is it that in nearly every election in Zambia nowadays the loser always cries “THE ELECTION WAS STOLEN FROM ME”? Isn’t this “song” getting old and boring already?

In fact ECZ was very accommodating to UPND than any other political party in the history of Zambian presidential elections.

    • Zambians are not thieves like you. You think they would steal an election like you stole from them? Absolutely not!!!

they just cant trust you with public resources and your tribal card has even magnified their mistrust.

The elections are done and dusted, take a chill pill or better still jump into the lake.

Your latest song is monotonous and boring . no one will buy it

      lets move on

    • Things can only get better for HH in 2016. UPND have clearly improved their performance looking at the numbers they polled. People are losing patience with PF and their 90 days promises and it showed in the recent elections.I don’t see things getting better for PF unless they can perform miracles the following miracles for the Zambian people in the next 15 months:
      -Reduce poverty
      -Reducing joblessness
      -Improve the kwacha exchange rate
-Reduce the price of mealie meal since this has increased from k35 to k80 since PF came to power
      -making bus fairs affordable
      -reduce street vending
This is what matters the most for the average Zambian than mere PF rhetoric and campaign songs

Note to Kaminamisa Lungu -appointing a UPND MP as N/western minister will not get you votes in N/Western

    • The church,Post,TI Zambia e.t.c released there PVT and all had a projection that EL was headed for victory….the only one we never saw was one which UPND was conducting, though going by the question which was asked by one of their member whether ECZ would order a recount if PF won by 5000,gave us a clue that the PVT by UPND was also showing that EL was going to win. HH is having a hard time accepting the results because he chose to believe lies that he was going to win by 80% even though he knew too well that the polls were not scientific.

    • I will always believe a man like HH who sees abundant opportunities in his own country where most of us who left Zambia over twenty years ago could not.

When he says, the election was stolen from him, I believe him 120%.Why do I say so? Because each time HH says something and the PF minions mouth off, it comes to pass within a short period of time.

I do not want to list the things he said and warned Zambia about that came to pass.

But what I will tell that, very soon in a month or two, the same people in PF who knows how they stole the elections will come out in the open to tell us exactly what happened and prove HH correct on his sentiments.

Remember there is no honour amongst thieves. Very soon they start fighting and carelessly spilling the beans.

    • Katondo aka Emmanuel Mwamba, we thought you or Ka Hapunda would be appointed as Kaminamisa’s press aides. What happened?

    • Such a selfish human herror ,for him its about being the richest guy in Zambia by stealing , and he wants power to feel good about himself . HH relatives are to blame ,they never hugged him when he was growing up. it was all about how many cows have you come back with from herding.

    • Hate him or not HH is the one who rule Zambia for a full ten year period starting from 2016.

Now we are busy monitoring those thieves who stole his election, and putting adequate measures so that it does not happen to us in 2016 again.

The moment Ka chakolwa ka lungu told ZAF to deny HH ‘s helicopters from taking UPND monitors on election day is the time I knew that PF ‘s rigging machine was in motion.

I said it in my last post, that, if democracy fails, then the only gun can liberate the people from the shuckles of political thuggery like we are witnessing in Zambia.

America and Europe have used guns to settle the scores once and for all. Thats why their democracies are now far advanced because they fully understand that political marginalisation breeds civil strife

    • It is a bitter pill to swallow but that is all about elections and stop message of hate, you are not going to be respected. Start promoting one Zambian one Nation and tell on-line supporters to stop negative messages and hate speech. This is not working for you. We are one and must love one another.

    • Despite the fact that the election was stolen from us, I urge all our party members and supporters across our country to remain calm and peaceful for the good of Zambia.
      I thank you all.

May God Bless the Republic of Zambia. May God bless you all.
      Hakainde Hichilema
      UPND President

    • Ka chakolwa ka lungu even failed to complete his cabinet because he has lied that he going for AU summit when I am fully informed that he going for a medical check up to evaluate if he can under go a liver and Kidney transplant on Mugabe’s advice.

In fact he going to be attended to by the same special doctors who treat Mugabe.

You PF minions pray he wakes up from the operation room. Other wise some vultures within PF want him gone as soon as possible so they grab power again.

Its actually gonna get worse now that he will be under so much pressure to deliver and appease his cronys while trying to prove to the masses that he is fighting corruption.

Ka chakolwa ‘s health will get worse like his master ‘s because he stole this election.

Viva HH. 2016 is yours definitely.

    • Shame on your UPND and your HH who have always prayed to the devil that those who beat you in election should die in Office. Remember that it does not matter how many leaders you murder, you will never rule because GOD is BIGGER than the devil, you devils worshipers. We, Zambian have said no to your HH. You have no right to insult us for saying no. It is our right. I it is very painful to lose. Since you think ill of our leaders. Can it continue to pain you even more. May you have sleepless nights because of your evil thoughts. May it pain you more and more in 2016 and beyond.

    • I go to bed feeling happy that, HH and UPND has now managed to convince the people across the country that its the only party to deliver them from the shackles of PF thuggery.

I am happy that his vision of a better Zambia was well received by many and even copied by Ka chakolwa in the “me too ” campaign and is going to be used as a yard stick with which to judge this Ka chakolwa harshly.

Honey moon is now over, its time to start delivering. Today I expected him to lay down his short term, medium and long term goals, spelling out exactly, when and how they are going to be achieved.

To my surprise, its gonna be another case of kicking the can down the road.

In two or three months from now, people will start crying out and complaining that Ka chakolwa is useless.

      Viva…

    • Wanzelu, It is painful to lose. Just go to sleep. We have a republican President and you lost. How can you beaten by a chakolwa? It means your HH is worthless. Find a better presidential candidate. Next time he will be beaten by a street kid.

    • @ chils FYI ECL made it to state house without norhtwestern or southern province.. he will make again in 2016. you guys keep pulling that tribal card and see how far it takes you… nchili ndelolela.

    • My friend who works in the red brick has just send me a picture of Ka chakolwa a few minutes ago on Whatsapp. If it was possible to up load it here I would have one so for you PF minions to see.

The Ka man is dizzy and struggling to keep his eyes open.

Remember the late Bingu Wamutarika of malawi, he died clutching a bottle of whisky in his hands.

I hope this Ka chakolwa,’s handlers will make sure that, beer does not kill him at all.

Ati Ka Lungu is humble, my foot! The ka guy is always very drunk, thats why he looks humble. Have you ever heard a Kachasu drunkard being being too hyper? No once Kachasu kicks in, then all the brain cells go to sleep.

PF minions enjoy while your kachakolwa is president. Steal now because after 2016, when HH gets there there will be no…

    • HH grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory and now he is having a tough time coming to terms with that. Wise politicians give way to someone else to try their luck,,,

    • 100% agree with you Wanzelu. This ka chakolwa needs to present his concrete plans to us so that they can be evaluated once the 15 months is over. This is what we as Zambians have failed to demand from our so called leaders its about time we started to do so and not fear to hold the accountable. We should not just bow to mere rhetoric, free chibuku and campaign songs.

The PF fellows won the election on the basis of the sympathy vote from Sata’s death. We need real performance from Ka chakolwa if he is to get our vote.

    • Chils, you just lost. Remember, it is the Zambian people who voted. It was their choice and right. If EL is a chakolwa, people said he was better than your masonist. Sorry for the pain caused, but the chakolwa is in plot one and your masonist is holding conferences weeping thinking he will get some sympathy, unfortunately he is being ignored amd Zambians have gone back to live their lives. Your insults will not change things and we are just enjoying it knowing it that it has pained you. Chakolwa is ruling over you whether you like him or not, he is the Zambian Republican President.

    • @Nkosi ati” Zambians have gone back to live their lives” – of suffering and poverty i guess!!

There’s nothing wrong with holding our leaders accountable and demanding concrete performance parameters upon which they will be judged. It works the same way in companies too. You need to show concrete performance results to warrant your job – unless things are done differently in Africa i assume

    • Chils @1.33, my friend, I meant Zambian have moved own with thier daily lives and most have accepted the outcome of the elections. Poverty cannot be removed overnight or by magic. HH would not have removed the current poverty levels by mere click of a finger. He was just politicking. The end of poverty takes a number of things, such as sound and mature political system, good economic policies, rule of law, etc. This may take years to achieve. The current situation was not caused by the PF government, they inherited it and are trying to sort it out. I know it is not a good thing to lose, but it very painful to be beaten by a novice because it shows that the veteran has no novel ideas. This is the problem HH and UPND are caught in unfortunately, beaten by a novice.

    • PF minons go to Zambia eye and see for yourselves why HH does not want poor people ‘s taxes to build him a house.

He has already built himself a huge house which not even any former Zambian president will ever get.

Call him bitter all you like. He is now planning to take a short holiday in the states for an few weeks with his family and friends to give this Kachakolwa a chance to fight his interan battles after stealing his victory.

      HH ni musankwa for sure.

    • Yes, the election was stolen. A lot of wrongs were done in the process (starting from the raising of campaign funds by PF using some parastatals and private companies in very complicated but fraudulent schemes, to manipulation of results, etc) such that if these wrongs/flaws were to be disclosed:
      1. All the International Observers who are calling these shambles of election as credible would be deeply embarrassed!
      2. All the people congratulating Edgar Lungu would also be embarrassed and probably withdraw their congratulatory messages;
But this is Africa for you. Deceit is in the DNA of the natives. All wrong doing is swept under the carpet and it is the person who is right who is seen as being wrong! This is Africa. The PF know deep down the deceit they have committed. It is grand…

    • You just lost chi HH naiwe. You had your agents at all polling stations and all results were sent to the totalling centre in the presence of your observers. There is no room for manipulating results in the current set-up.

    • @ Wanzelu

NOW IT HAS CHANGED FROM “HH 2015” TO “HH2016”? KKKKK. KEEP CHANGING.. MAYBE U CAN GET LUCKY IN ONE OF THESE FUTURES TO COME.

    • HE HAS BEEN CRYING ALL NIGHTS, THIS GUY. THERE’S ONLY ONE WINNER IN ANY RACE AND THE BEST PERSON ALWAYS WINS- THE WORST LOSES. HH YOU LOST- JUST TRY MAYBE IN 50 YEARS TIME.

    • DONT WORRY BWANA HHHHH
JUST FEEL PROUD THAT LUNGU ALETINA
      HES SCARED OF YOU .
WHY DIDNT HE PICK THE DULL MPS FROM NWP SPECIALLY THAT
DULL CHINGHIMBU MP FOR KABOMPO FOR MMD TO BE NORTH WESTERN DEPUTY MINISTER UKUTINA IWE HHH THINK YOU WILL BE SHAKEN ,
MULUSA THIS IS YOUR TIME TO GRAB YOUR SEAT ON RAINBOW PARTY FOR 2016 .
LET BA KAFWAYO ABO BA GUY STAY WITH PF.
BATTLE IT OUT COZ 2016 RAINBOW PARTY HOT HOT
STUPID EX CONVICT MASUMBA BALIMUSULA KU MUFUMBWE OR BA FINISHED TAIMA YOU WERE BOASTING ATI U MADE BILLIONS WITH PF MONEY DURING CAMPAIGN OR THAT ZAMBEZI LADY PF WHY IF PF WAS AFACTOR DIDNT PICK THEM.
THANK GOD BA KAPWAYA END OF YOUR SEAT ASK TAIMA TAIMA WHAT HAPPENED .
MULUSA YOUR SEAT SOLWEZI GET IT 2016 .WELL DONE GUYS FOR USING KAFWAYO

    • @Ndobo, my friend I was kuli Ba Inonge… we are simply in love, I don’t know where this will lead us.
      Mulamu Lungu twakulanwa bonse….

    • @ 1.22 Wanzelu

What a display of astounding humor! This was HH’s very best chance. He missed it. Remember, once beaten twice shy. It is excruciatingly painful for HH right now. He needs time, more time for healing and reflection – 2016 is rather too soon.

    • MEANING HH AND UPND ALSO STOLE PF VOTES IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE, OTHER PF WOULD HAVE DONE MUCH BETTER HADN’T UPND STOLLEN PF VOTES IN SOUTHERN PROVINCE!

THE UNDER 5 IS SMELLING RED IN 2016. SO, THE NEED TO START PRE-EMPTYING THE SITUATION. BABA, YOU EVEN WENT AS FAR AS YOU DID BECAUSE OF CONFUSION WHICH ROCKED PF, INEVITABLY, DUE TO THE DEMISE OF THE LATE SATA. OTHERWISE YOU WOULD HAVE JUST BEEN SWIMMING MUMAFI.

    • THE EARLIER HH REALISES THESE FACTS THE BETTER:
      1. HE’s a capable man that’s trying to ascend to presidency on the ticket of a WRONG party – wrong because UPND now exists and operates on the basis of TRIBALISM AND ETHINICITY

      2. It doesn’t matter how many times HH contests for Zambia’s No.1 job, he’ll NEVER get it if he does so on a UPND ticket. This is the naked TRUTH!!!!!

    • @ Wanzelu

YES JUST LIKE U BELIEVE 140% THAT HE WOULD BE 6TH PRESIDENT. NOW I KNOW; ANYTHING THAT U BELIEVE MORE THAN 100% IS USELESSLY WACK!! JUST AS IN THIS CASE TOO.

    • BREAKING NEWS : ZAMBIANS WILL PERISH UNDER LUNGU- SCOTT

Former acting president and also former Vice president of Zambia Guy scott has observed that Zambians will perish under the leadership of Edgar Lungu who is a newly elected President. Dr Scott is also PF Lusaka Central MP and founder member of Patriotic Front.

Speaking at his farm yard in lusaka today, scott
says Zambians have decided to perish themselves under the leadership of Edgar Lungu who does not understand any single thing about governance.

Mr. Scott has therefore congratulated UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema charging that he observed the PVT that showed that HH has won the Election. “i was observing the PVT with my high ranked OPs, it clearly indicated that HH has won the elections, ECZ officials announced wrong…

    • HH, you are being a cry baby – move on, go to court and present your evidence. In fact it was you who had rigged in Southern Province. You had recruited and bribed most returning office and monitors who had carried out the rigging for, that’s why you were so confident at the end of the campaign period. You are still under shock. But how do expect 3 provinces (your so called strongholds) to beat 7 provinces in the country.

  1. It is the best of your interest and integrity to concede defeat and move on and plan for the next chance and not calling people thieves.
Even in football once the referee blows the whistle whether it was a penalty or not the losing team always accepts defeat and plays better the next game.

No doubt you are a much needed strong opposition party who will contribute in a way even being on the shadow side if Government.

    Just humble yourself Sir !

    • Why should HH continue mourning when we all know that UPND officials gave instructions to chiefs and headmen in Southern Province that they meet their subjects and tell them to vote for their own, HH. On the actual day of voting, chiefs and headmen were also used to transport voters in Southern Province to induce them to go and vote for HH. Even in Chongwe constituency traditional authorities were used to transport voters to polling stations to ensure they all go to vote for a fellow Bantu Botatwe. People from other regions are now saying that come 2016, we are going to make UPND have a bitter taste of their own medicine by using what is being referred to as the NEGA NEGA FORMULA on UPND.

    • I SIDO MARK will always stand by HH because of full conviction that he has something to offer Zambia. We are not paid to support him but will do on our own Conviction. The Bembas are the ones who will be the first to regreat having supported Lungu because he will show them his true karacter.Mark my words HH meant well to Bembas.I know because he meant what he promised Chitimukulu.Lets wait time will tell.

  2. Of course every one knows that there was massive rigging unless someone is a scatter brain and has no once of decency in them!! However, don’t cry over spilt milk, have a week’s rest regroup and strategise.
For all of you crying that UPND is tribal, what kind of representation was in PF? All the the provincial authorities were bemba in Sata’s time and no one cried foul. Is C.Banda,Mutati,Nalumango and et al,are they Tonga? There are several of us who are not tonga and yet have seen the potential of HH and his team. Just look at the disgusting tribal remarks some of you make on here! I never read any majority condemnation of what Inonge and Lungu et al did to Scot! The racism was rife, even educated people like Luo were in the fore front advancing it.

    • There are many of us who are also not Tonga or Bemba but did not accept HH simply because he was too arrogant. His being a Tonga was not an issue for us. Remember how we supported Mazoka. Mwanawasa was also from Bantu Botatwe. Unfortunately, the Tonga card was overplayed by some circles and it cost him support. People must accept these things if they are too re/strategize efficiently. We did not like what Sata’s PF had become, but with Edgar we got some hope. Some of us who supported Edgar were infact anti PF but we liked the appeal of the individual.

    • The celebration of an easterner or bemba in power, let us see how they will develop the country. Fellow countrymen, when are we going to see beyond someone’s tribal inclination or skin colouration? Some oof you support blindly and yet your re4latives are suffering, have got no access to good healthcare,no access to good education. Right now,the university degree any of get now from the university of zambia is only valid in Zambia! It is unrecognisable anywhere! Support should be based on what a political leader can offer not on what tribe they belong to. How do you support someone who pardons R.Banda who stole Zambian money? How do you support Lungu when he himself told the nation that Sampa killed Ruth Mbandu and yet nothing was done? How in the world do you support immorality?

    • That’s the problem with our UPND friends. You always think Zambia is full of UPND. Continue thinking like that until other opposition political parties take it away from PF.

    • Dont Say there was riggin done by PF , do you know that there was rigging in southern Province, one more thing southern province is not full of Tongas other tribes are there and Pf Structures are there how do you get Zero from a constituency that has PF presence?

    • It is Lungu’s responsibility to prove my assertions of him as being wrong. He is the prosecutor, I am the jury and as such, the onus is unto him to prove that I’m wrong about him and he will be a good leader. He has surrounded himself with corrupt elements. All of you out there can say whatever you want to say about my postings,I don’t care. I am one of the privileged few,my children are in the best schools , have got good access to healthcare and are assured of a good start in life.
Now,because I am not selfish, I want every Zambia to have access to what the politicians have. Politicians are there to serve us,not the other way round and as long as Zambians don’t realise this, they will continue living in poverty and being cheated.

  3. Instead of wasting time complaining about the stolen election, he must simply go to the courts or just shut up. HH was misled and he got carried away by the information he was fed by Muvi tv. Next time think carefully and humble yourself. How can you claim victory before a vote has been cast? I’m sure HH is soon going to realise and learn from the mistakes he made. Lastly, you should thank those who voted for and appeal to the other to vote for you next time. I hope you will call EL to congratulate him eventually!

    • HH is like that disillusioned character in that book “who moved my cheese”. Sorry friends this is what came to my mind about his Complaint.

    • We in the UPND, together with our partners and ordinary citizens, will be watching closely and we will be ready to win another election in 20 months time under a new constitution.
Despite the fact that the election was stolen from us, I urge all our party members and supporters across our country to remain calm and peaceful for the good of Zambia.
      I thank you all.
May God Bless the Republic of Zambia. May God bless you all.
      Hakainde Hichilema
      UPND President

    • This election was rigged! No doubt! The embarrassing details are being kept as top secret. However, the details are sipping out bit by bit from the same people involved! Not everyone has capacity to keep secrets, especially after one or two too many! This whole thing called Presidential By-election was just grand deceit! That’s why the Lozis shouldn’t give up on their demand to have the Barotse Agreement addressed in full. There is massive deceit at play in this thing called Zambia!

    • IF Lungu is wise will not follow Sata’s foot path .He must unite Zambians failure to which PF will lose massively in 2016.HH will stand and this time its final. The Movement that is supporting HH is more resolved to complete the Job next year.No one will be capable to stop.3 guys in ECZ did rig by changing figures. We know them ,they were even bosting that we can’t allow a Tonga to rule this country. These Guys are under our micro scope and soon they will get the lesson of there life time.Remember as its forward chabe.

  4. This I.diot is irritating. There are checks and balances built in the system. Check the results at the polling centres in question you i.mbicile. Move on. Zambia is not about you.

    • @Nono, you are just an ignorant fool! There is nothing you know! I wished the Post Newspaper hadn’t compromised itself so badly. The Pos of those days would have dug out the deceit that has taken place in this election! PF stole this election! May be some investigative journalist from outside Zambia will some day embarrass all these deceivers, then HH would be vindicated and all those insulting him embarrassed!

  5. Move on already brotherman. Everyone else is on board. You are a lone voice in the wilderness with your hardcore supporters who can not read the signs or are too emotional to see reality as it stands. Most Zambians are pleased with this result and many more wish they had come out to vote the way your people did. 2016 will be an uphill one for you my brother. You have to change your tactics and your rhetoric. People are getting bored with this type of talk. It re-enforces what people think of you. Your problem is you insult or label anyone with a differing opinion, so even those of us who would be your potential supporters do not feel encouraged to join you.

    • @The Equalizer, speak for yourself not everybody in Zed. Remember even the official results show that almost 50% of the voters rejected Lungu. Wait until the economy bites my friend then you will know how good your PF and EL are. Soon the mines will be laying off thousands, copper prices are getting down all the time, the kwacha keeps loosing value, the harvest will be bad due to late payments, investors are loosing confidence … wait till you or your loved one goes to UTH and get told there is no medicines, no free education, no jobs… but then, this is what you are acustomed. So speak for yourself and serve PF or EL for dinner …

    • Imwe fima Zambians try to be positive and optimistic and strive to improve your lives. Why are always spelling out and anticipating doom for yourselves?

Here is a new mantra for all you scatter brains.

      ZAMBIA WILL PROSPER
      ZAMBIA’S ECONOMY WILL IMPROVE

    • We in the UPND, together with our partners and ordinary citizens, will be watching closely and we will be ready to win another election in 20 months time under a new constitution.
Despite the fact that the election was stolen from us, I urge all our party members and supporters across our country to remain calm and peaceful for the good of Zambia.
      I thank you all.
May God Bless the Republic of Zambia. May God bless you all.
      Hakainde Hichilema
      UPND President

    • So what with all the abusive languages? Who insults the other? The sane or insane? Judge the actions and make room for King JESUS otherwise He(JESUS) will destroy what He Disapproves by ……your conscience is your witness.

  6. HH am with you come what may!!!! We need to save our people. Just like the Jesus most people worhsip said, forgive them father for they know not what they do!!! Many zambians know not what they do. they just vote. Chagwa is in state house now, his family has all the luxuries you can think of, now what of the people who were celebrating yesterday? what is your benefit. the only hope is that the president fulfills his promises and delivers to the needs of the people. thats the only way you as citizens would have reaped from your voting and rejoicing on the election result. Now, knowing PF and their lies. Khaya!!! Am just praying that chagwa, mwanawakwitu, delivers!!!!

    • which people does he want to save? He just wants postal more, he sold 2 of his companies thinking he will be president and steal more , but God prevented it.

    • @ zagaze

save who??? you want to save the people that dont want to be saved by you?? dont impose your self of people that dont want you, the people of Zambia have spoken, they do not want a tribal party , dont force matters. please give us a break. changa changa.

    • show me your evidence of tribalism in UPND. You just keep saying tribal, tribal but you never pin point it meanwhile ninshi on the other side you are busy saying techi, techi umutonga abe president wa zambia. Aba tonga babiii. Now tell me who is tribal here?

  7. How can we elect such a petty character as President of this country? Even things that are straightforward are difficult for him to see. Accusing people like the way he is doing is very dangerous.

    • @Spotless Zembra, you are commenting from a position of dangerous ignorance! A lot of wrongs have occurred in this election. There was nothing credible about this election from start to finish. It was just an exercise in grand deceit and manipulation!

  8. me i was just sitted on a rock still mourning about our (me and UPND) stolen votes and our illegal loss,,, when my phone rang! it was my anuty, yes you guessed right, my Anuty the vice president of Zambia. i answered respectful well mannered lozi boy on the phone,,,,
Anyway the Good news is i have been offered a job by PF govt through my anuty,,, and now am thinking maybe what happened during the elections was a blessing for me to get a job,,, am very sad leaving my friends in the oppostions especially @ Nostradamus to go and dinner with ba lungu ,,, please my friend Nostra understand,, am going to make room for you in the PF govt

    • Hope you are just going in PF to chew whilst deep down you are UPND otherwise you were never UPND at heart.

      Good luck.

  9. Get over it Hakainde, you just lost. If I were you I could go back to the drawing board and start preparing for next year’s elections.

    • Its wise that God saw it fit to reserve HH for 2016.So that all can prove what he said in the campaigns.HH will have all his ten years to rule than if he won now.HH will support you more.We are now ready even kill if one will dream of rigging.First will sort out those 3 guys from ECZ to teach everyone a lesson.

  10. HH, you have to understand that having millions of people attending your rallies does not mean that they will vote for you! you were misled into thinking that the masses that attended your rallies were your voters, sober up and accept that it was not not your time.Your time will come in 2021. The best you can do now is to leave the country and freshen up before the owners of the campaign money demand for their money.

    • HH won ,He will still win in 2016 ,Yes next year ,the only difference we shall be ready even to kill those who will be rigging.First with 3 ECZ guys to teach everyone a lesson.

  11. He is only able to bring out names of officers without explanation how the votes were stolen.
This is the guy who claims to be a church elder and yet he is not the registered member of the church
He claims to be very educated but he doesn’t have even a masters or doctorate

    • @Grand, check your facts, HH has an MBA from the University of Birmingham in UK. EL just has a law degree from UNZA. HH’s CV in the public domain, just search the internet. HH has been and is still a CEO of many organisation both nationally and internally. Your EL even failed to run his law practice. EL stole from a client and lost his license to practice law till last year when Sata corruptly as usual saved him. Perhaps, HH is too good for some people… 🙂

  12. The only problem i have with him is that he rushes to the media for any clue of foul play for example:
    1. He accused PF of bring in extra ballot papers/boxes and they ended up searching the entire truck and they found nothing.
    2. He is now saying that he knows the know of those who were involved in the rigging. if its true he is giving them time of getting rid of evidence.
my advice for him is to go to the courts if he is aggrieved.
I will vote for you though next time.

    • His idea was someone was allowed to enter mulungushi with a smart phone . Really??? this is coming from someone who has been to school???

  13. I’m shocked at the level of ignorance being portrayed. The list is endless…. he was deregistered as a lawyer, RB, associations with people who are morally corrupt.

    • @Appleseed

You are one of the few sensible commentator so far. You seem to posses the rare understanding of things that most PF minions fail to understand.

Majority of these here are all thank government for giving me a job. They have vowed to support the government of the day now how useless its leader is.

If Mugabe sends Munangagwa to come to Zambia and take over PF, all these PF minions will be shouting well done Mugabe.

      .

  14. Yes the election was stolen. Lungu cannot stand proud before God and say he won. Lungu is a thief. That’s why we will never make progress in Africa. Criminals ran his campaign to ensure they protect themselves. I M NOT PROUD TO CALL LUNGU “PRESIDENT”. He is a THIEF!

    • @ 17 Jamakudi

I am inclined to believe that you have credible evidence with which to spice your story of rigging? As at now, it sounds like a fiery tale.

    • I would support you if you went in the middle of Cairo Road and shout the same words you have used here. But you are a coward hiding behind a pseudonim. Probably you are not even in Zambia and did not vote.

  15. I m inclined to entertain the idea of northwestern Rhodesia. It Will be great to revert to that. This one Zambia one nation fad is just rubbish! Fit for the northern snd eastern tribes.

  16. It is Lungu’s responsibility to prove my assertions of him as being wrong.

    • @Appleseed, I totally agree with you… Couldn’t have put it better myself. Some people are so ignorant and so used to suffering such that they do not believe that Zambia can be a better place given a visionary leader like HH. Lunga admitted he has absolutely no vision of his own and will only continue the suffering that was perpetuated by Sata. Cry the beloved country has indeed gone to the dogs 🙁

  17. I am behind you my president HH.

Expose these crooks. Many poor Zambian will suffer because of a few crooks.

    Viva #TeamHH

    • @Pretty

Its only people like us who do not rely on government for survival understand HH very well and follow him.

He the man to emulate not always crying for bread crumbs off Ka chakolwa’s table.

  18. Insinuations from his excellency the president of Zambian watchdog and Muvi TV. Your victory of over 80% in opinion polls is well devised and devoid.

  19. HH is now resorting to tactics favoured by two year olds to get their way! Crying, crying and crying ,falling on the floor and kicking and screaming!

  20. For once bloggers , can you stop insulting HH and tell the nation how you guys intend to better their lives! There’s more to being a leader!!! Show some class and intellect!
The other thing which you uneducated guys should know is this:
Lungu as of Saturday, ceased being PF president, he is Zambian president , thus his responsibility lies in being there for all the people. This like I said last week, will define and show the nation what nestles between his ears.

  21. Ba hh naimwe tamwakwata nsoni. You work with wrong data and expect to win. Twakana kabepeniko bambi. You lost hh you lost upnd you lost you lost you lost. chapwa.

  22. THE FUNNY STORY GOING ROUND IS THAT WITH THE ADVANTAGE THAT HH HAD IN THIS ELECTION WHILE MMD AND PF WERE EMBROILDED IN ENTERNAL STRIFE,
THE BALL HAD BEEN PUT ON THE SPOT KICK, AND THE GOAL KEEPER REMOVED FROM THE GOAL. HH TOOK A SHOT AND SHOT WIDE AND MISSED A PENALTY!!!!!!

SORRY HH. WE FEEL YOUR PAIN BUT PLEASE DDONT HAVE ANOTHER PRESS CONFERENCE TOMORROW TELLING US THE SAME STORY.

NEVERS DESERVES TO DO THIS CRY-BABY STUFF MORE THAT YOU HH, CONSIDERING WHAT RB, MUHABI LUNGU AND THOSE SPINELESS AND OPPORTUNIST MPS AND NEC MEMBERS DID TO HIM. BUT HE IS QUIET AND REFLECTING. TAKE A LEAF FROM THE FUTURE PRESIDENT.

  23. I agree with 1.11 above. HH how many times are people going to steal from you when you are just looking? Chiluba stole from you? Mwanawasa stole from? Then Lungu who has never been a President before also has stolen from you? This is not possible HH. Accept deafen and move on!

If Sata had lost the 2011 elections he would have said they stole from me but the truth is that he won! And RB did not say they stole from him! ASK GBM about this Bemba saying ” Uwawa tabula akabepesho” ! GBM would explain what it means.

This was a contested election and it is a pity tht you were the losing party otherwise it was evident that you tried very hard but alas it was not meant for you! Keep well and if possible try agin some other time when network becomes available!

  24. It is sad that HH and UPND do not wan to learn from experiences. If HH is to have any chance to ever win an election the following can help:
    1. HH should accept publicly that a mistake was made initially when he was imposed on the leadership based on him being Tonga. This created a tag that UPND was only for the Tongas.

    2. UPND should call for a national indaba to elect another leader or confirm HH from a national consensus of the UPND memebership.

    3. HH should condemn any tribal talk from his party about voting based on tribal lines.

    4. HH has always appeared to be very agree, arrogant or disrepectful to elders. He should for once change this attitude and make politics appear soft and fun. His over seriousness scares many people that he may be a very vengeful person.

    My…

  25. Massive rigging took place when some areas were allowed to continue voting while results were being announced. Some urban areas had heavy rains almost the whole day but ECZ could not extend voting time. In 2016, we should all vote on the same number of days and announce the results later. Late Mazoka lost the election the same way.

    • To me the whole election scenario was bizarre, more of the Zimbabwean style of election, hence it raised eye brows. The fact that EL confessed having gone to Zimbabwe to get advice from a sister party president on how to win election also raises suspicion. Only God knows the truth. A price will be paid somehow as to everything there’s a price tag.

  26. Besides, any other normal country wouldn’t have accepted the narrow victory and if I were PF I wouldn’t be comfortable and assume normality because their victory was so narrow!! Don’t even over celebrate and claim you’ve the majority.
The western worlds are rich because the people bring the politicians to task. You on this forum, support blindly when your children and your relatives are deep in poverty.
Seriously people, life could be better. Don’t just support on tribal grounds. Think about the future of your children and their children’s children . Don’t be myopic and don’t be used by people who really don’t care about you. Those of you screaming loudly in support of PF,do you know how high the death rate in Zambia is?

    • @ 32 Appleseed

HH had more campaign time, more money, more endorsements, better equipment etc. than all the other candidates put together. Going by the low voter turn-out rate alone, I can tell that HH adopted a failed strategy. The majority of the people wanted him to win. He lost because of the way he played his game.

You must remember that HH is not a politician. He is a businessman. He was blindly hand-picked and installed to take-over from Mazoka by those who believed that only a Tonga deserved to do so. He had not been a politician before. He has not proved to be a good politician since then. This time around, he lost to a novice. The shame is on HH and on those who erroneously thought that he could make a good politician. They were wrong.

    • Mei Matunga

I salut you, you are one of the few upnd cadres ,who has accepted defeat and do not blame anyone but your selves. Big up.

Ducktape triple H flight EL wants to take off to economic boom.

    • @ 33.2 Robin

Don’t mistake me for a cadre of UPND or of any other party. I am not. I am an independent. It is the reason for my consistent objectivity. I take sides based on what I see to be right or wrong at that point in time. EL and his cartel adopted uncouth and undemocratic methods to ascend to the PF presidency. That did not impress me at all.

  27. Remember I had been saying wina, azalila for again and you thought I was joking! Baba this is the last time even to be close. Now you might remember me.

    • Pretty, I wonder if your insults helped. But I can advise you that if UPND and HH continue with this kind of arrogance and disrespectful. It will be worse for you in 2016, especially if the voter numbers will increase to the 2011 levels. UPND will again lose.

    • @ 34 Pretty & 32 Appleseed

To the contrary, HH had more campaign time, more money, more endorsements, better equipment etc. than all the other candidates put together. The low voter turn-out rate alone, tells me that HH adopted a failed strategy. The majority of the people wanted him to win. He lost because of the way he played his game.

You must remember that HH is not a politician. He is a businessman. He was blindly hand-picked and installed to take-over from Mazoka by those who believed that only a Tonga deserved to do so. The shame is on HH and on those who erroneously thought that he could make a good politician. They were wrong.

  28. Only the other day, some colleagues from UK were asking how UTH can be classified as teaching hospital when the beds are broken, people sleep on the floor, no medicines. The people die and there relatives don’t know until the next visiting hour when they find that the bed their relative was in is empty!! And you call this normal and you keep the same political party! Those politicians fly to SA for treatment. How about you the voter? Some of you call HH a quack,he is an employer and brings food to people’s tables through the salaries he pays them. So how does he become a quack? Or are you insulting him because your brains can’t fathom that he is a better candidate and would have benefited Zambians? You all have a right to support your PF, but for the ignorant,it smacks in the face.

    • IN SHORT, HH DID NOT PROVE THAT HE COULD DO BETTER THAN PF. THE FACT THAT CANDIDATE A IS BAD DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN WE SHOULD GO FOR CANDIDATE B OR C. YOU MAY BE JUMPING FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE FIRE. THE FIRE OF TRIBALISM, VENGENCE AND PRIDE.

      Hakainde Hichilema
      UPND President

  29. @ Victor,
Why do you want me to disappear? Is what I have written incorrect?
The fact that you are on this forum shows that you have some education. My question is? What was your basis for supporting your candidate?
Is the poverty in Zambia justifiable? You base your support on tribal background, don’t be like @ katondo boys who is a seasoned politician and like other politicians, their role is to deceive us. Or are you one of them?

  30. @16 Appleseed. You are spot on.
Two months prior to voting day, Lungu had NO vision. He could not string a coherent sentence to rekindle hope at all. So he resorted to openly and shamelessly copy UPND through his “Me too” promises.

You do not earn respect from well meaning Zambians by copy and paste.

  31. Just the sense of entitlement, you know, that “shrieking” sense of entitlement a two-year old exudes when you take the toys away. It is incredible to watch!

Honestly, it is mainly this somewhat arrogant and ‘me, me, me’ attitude that makes HH so less appealing really. Bwana, it can’t always be about you. Not all Zambians feel the way your staunch UPND supporters feel. Unfortunately for you, the numbers of your supporters isn’t enough to take you to State House. That’s democracy at play, NOT RIGGING. If this is an alien concept to you, tough luck!

The country has a president now and she will move on with or without you. It is really your choice to positively be part of our national consciousness or forever condemn yourself to the annals of failed & bitter politicians.

      Hakainde Hichilema
      UPND President

  32. For now ladies and gentlemen,
I rest my case for now. I dream of a day when we will rise and condemn what the politicians do and how they are the sole beneficiaries of their actions. Some of us who are able to put good food on the table for our children do get aggrieved when we see others dying of hunger, sickness due to lack of medicine,un-education, no equal access to colleges or fairness in university placements. Yes, insult all you can ,but the people you insult in the opposition, half of them have money. Our families have better lives and we thank God for this.
Bottom line is: every zambian can have a decent life if we had the right people in power.

  33. Chanda Mwaba Mwanga
    January 26, 2015

One way to encourage unity among the tribes in Zambia is to deliberately enhance mbuyaship linkages. I ahve in mind the possible mbuyaship link between the Lozis and Easternrs because of their common South African roots. The Ngonis of Eastern Province and the Kololos of Western Zambia should be ashamed to appear to be so apart when they know they both have “the SHAKA origin”. I would want to see the Litunga attend the Ngoni ceremony and the Nkosi attend the Kuomboka this year. The Lenjes and the Bembas should also be reminded of their KOLA common-hood. Step by step we can unit Zambia…..

  34. Those who write against HH are not objective and probably do not like him because he is better than EL from personal achievement to the campaings, his passion for every child to be educated and so on. Zambians, let us pause and think! Think about the child who can not continue in school because of poor parents, a university student who drops out due to lack of money to pay university fees, a family going with a meal per day due to high mealie meal prices, a youth languishing on the street without employment.

    • @ 46 Be serio

It is not what HH is but what he is not that is the issue. He may be all of that, but he is not cut out to be a politician. Otherwise, he could easily have beaten EL in this election. It was his best chance ever. And chance comes but once! That’s why for him, he should consider it a loss of a life time. Such a chance may never come his way again.

    • Now you think only HH can provide those things not any other person? This is your problem you HH-UPND cadres. People chose Lungu and they have moved on.

  35. AM SORRY TO MENTION THIS THAT OUR BELOVED MOTHER ZAMBIA HAS GONE TRIBAL AND REGIONAL. NORTHERN HEMISPHERE AND SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND THIS HAS COME AS A RESULT OF THE BEMBA SPEAKING PEOPLE WHO SAY ” TATUTUNGULULWA NEMITUNDU IYINONO” THIS HAS COME ON THE WAY WE HAVE PERFORMED IN THE JUST ENDED BY-ELECTIONS.
LUAPULA, NORTHERN, CENTRAL- LALA AND EASTERN PROVINCES VOTED ON TRIBAL – COUSIN SHIP.
NORTHWESTERN, WESTERN AND PART OF CENTRAL/LUSAKA -LENGE, SOLI AND ILA, COPPERBELT RURAL -LAMBA.

THIS PARTTEN IS HOW WE HAVE DEMOSTRATED. YOU MAY URGUE ME, AND AS LONG AS YOU WISH TO, I STILL STAND ON THE POINT THAT ZAMBIA IS NOLONGER ONE. BEMBAS HAVE DECIDED NOT TO SUPPORT ANY PERSON FROM SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND THE SOUTHERNERS HAVE ALSO REALIZED THAT IT IS SHARE WASTE OF TIME TO SUPPORT THE…

    • YOU ARE VERY WRONG. THERE WAS GENERAL APATHY. BUT SP HAD MORE VOTES ON AVERAGE. IN NP AND EP UPND RECEIVED A BIT MORE RESULTS THAN PF DID IN SP. IN SOME POLLING STATIONS IN SP PF GOT ZEROS WHILE HH GOT MORE THAN 4000. ITS LIKE SP HAD A PROGRAM, STRATEGY. IT WAS AN UPRISING IN SP. IT WAS A REVOLUTION IN TANDEM WITH THE PRINCIPLE OF UPND SHALL BE RULED BY A TONGA OR A TONGA MUST RULE NOW. THE MARGINS BY WHICH SP VOTED FOR HH AGAINST EL CANNOT BE IGNORED. THEY WERE “MARGINS OF TRIBAL PROPORTIONS”
YES REGIONAL VOTING COULD HAVE BEEN THERE EVEN IN OTHER PLACES BUT IT WAS MOST PRONOUNCED IN SP.
YES SP HAS TAUGHT US HOW IT SHALL BE DONE NEXT ELECTIONS. PEOPLE WILL ARISE IN LARGE NUMBERS TO ENSURE THAT THEIR CANDIDATE WINS. AND I THINK UPND WILL BE ANIHILATED.

    • HH and UPND need to go back to the drawing board,he took over a vibrant part from Mazoka which most of us supported but decided to get rid of the brains of the party. Mazoka embraced everyone regardless of tribe hence UPND was the biggest opposition in the country. This guy came from nowhere and took over the presidency of the party and used siamujaye and madyenkuku to say the presidency of the party would never be given to a non tonga and that’s how the party disintegrated. Just to the run up to the elections they alleged PF had brought in people from DRC and Rwanda to go and beat up people in southern province on a particular day which never came to fruition, the during the printing of ballots they alleged the ballots were made in such a way that they would fade after an hour.

    • Senama,

Have a look again at the results from each Constituency and province before you mislead yourself and others.

    • @ 46.3 Chanda Musyalike

Crying foul has never worked in Zambian politics. HH knew what he was up against way before election day. Should one decide to take a journey through a forest infested with lions, it is only common sense that he takes necessary precaution before starting off. What did HH do to mitigate a possible eventuality of a rigged vote?

  36. Those who have been luck to win the just ended presidential elections must know that luck was on their side. However, let them not resort to hurling insults to the losers as luck was not on their side. May
I simply make an observation that those who insult others are not good people and God does not like them.
What we expect and incidentally our highest elections are ad follows.
1 Enactment of New constitution before the next general elections
2.Affordable prices of most of our essential comedies, fuel and mealie meal
3.immediate lifting of wage and employment freeze
    4. a must inclusion of 50 %+ clause in the new constitution
5 End of poaching of opposition mps by the ruling party
6.Respect of all tribes in our republic by this no careless talk aimed at inflaming other people…

  37. PF yapers are fond of kalulu stories that, throw me on sand and you will see how easy I will die, not on a rock! HH is our man for UPND, since you are expats at handraising democracy, you can pick on mulyokela and chanda to go and compete at your hand raising convetions!

  38. This man is stupid. Zwd and muvi tv misled him into believing he won the election by 82%. My dear you have the general mood of the people to tell it all. The problem you are blood thirsty and mind you these careless statements you are making are slowly turning into bloodshed at one time or another.

  39. Then the same UPND diverted and threatened to burn trucks hired by ECZ to bring materials from SA alleging that they were carrying premarked ballot papers only to be embarrassed to find lamps and furniture to be used during the polls. A normal leader would have appologised to ECZ. Then there was the Munkombwe saga…….After realizing they were losing Garry Nkombo on his Facebook page said Zambia was a country full of *****s. HH is the only candidate who refused electronic transfer of results and ECZ engaged UPND at all levels. Today he has continued with all theses nonsensical allegations which he cannot prove. Actually all the stakeholders that conducted the PVT said EL won,so who is he to say votes were stollen from him? For as long as HH remains at the helm UPND can’t win

  40. @Chisenga
Do you mean to say, there is small tribalism and big tribalism.
    In all the provinces EL dropped Sata’s record of 2011 except Eastern. North-(-61%), Luapula-(-46%), C/Belt-(-41%), East-(+48%), Lusaka-(-20%), Central-(-9%), N/West-(-29%), West-(-58%) and South-(-15%). HH raised from the 2011 with the highest % in Northern-(700%), Luapula-(600%), C/Belt-(350%), East-(300%), Lusaka-(110%), Central-(40%), N/West-(40%), West-(30%) and South-(2%). The worst Tonga tribalists here are northerner who improved HH’s vote by 700% and reducing EL’s vote by 61%.

  41. @Isaac
You are in the driving seat and you use such language as stupid to HH, do you mean that you are already bored of celebrating your win or you have just decided to abandon because its a stolen win!

  42. I don’t think HH is well. His staring eyes and frankly his incoherent babbling makes no sense especially since he goes on to contradict himself at the end where he acknowledges Justice Mambilima gave time to his allegation to investigate.

See, this chap is not well mentally. This is not the behaviour of a normal person. On Election Day, the whole country was denied votes updates to cater to his neurosis. I think time is up for HH, he is feeling the pressure,….well perhaps not, he does not seem lucid in his thoughts.

If you gave a bucket to HH with the bottom cut out, instructed him to go to a tap to draw and bring water back, he would attempt to fill that bucket until someone stopped him….because he is not able to reason any more. UPND, please if you care for HH, give him…

    • If you gave a bucket to HH with the bottom cut out, instructed him to go to a tap to draw and bring water back, he would attempt to fill that bucket until someone stopped him….because he is not able to reason any more. UPND, please if you care for HH, give him a push OUT.

He needs to be away from this obsession to be President. He clearly has lost his dignity and self esteem. A man behaving like this….false unreasonable allegations is not showing presence of the mind.

  43. Death carries some sort of fetishism in Zambia for only in death is one glorified yet when alive they are vilified! Its high time Zambians came to terms with death as an inevitable occurrence whether after sickness, accident or aging without putting mystery around it.

  44. This HH thing is dividing Zambia.please peace loving people cage this lunatic!!!his coming into politics has divided our country beyond control!!this lunatic called HH is full of himself!!!can someone in UPND initiate the removal of this evil man from politics?its very true that he’ll never rule Zambia bcoz God knows how evil this lunatic is!!i cant stand him any more bcoz his tribal politics is a danger to our society!!look at how he has distanced southerners from other Zambians?for sure HH is a satanist!!!

  45. He has borrowed heavily, has to pay those back. that is a natural pressure. That coupled with a realisation that 6 provinces did not come out to vote in large numbers and had they did that, PF would have over 1,200,000 votes. Compare 2011 voting pattern (just the number of votes vis-a-vis 3 provinces where he got his maximum votes from). Come 2016 and elections being held in September, voting turnout in 6 provinces will be far more than what it was in 2015. One need not be a nerd to see through the prism that HH will not win ever. His financiers and chancers had staked too much and wait for a few weeks most of them will be fired from their parties and those seats will be won by PF or real MMD. Mutati, Pandey, Situmbeko will be on the streets, likcing their wounds. That is politics.

  46. @Princess

HH is done, this is the end of his political career. And with Lungu appointing Inonge as VP,i can see HH coming fourth if not fifth in 2016.
    1.PF
    2.FDD
    3.MMD
    4.RAINBOW PARTY
    5.UPND

  47. I think this man has a serious problem when it comes to facing reality and accepting it. It is not among the leadership qualities that real statesmen are composed of.

  48. we congratulate your win!! But whose the winner between good governance and corrupt leadership?? The waste is as long as you continue mentioning of some regions as inferior to others!! I hear barotseland ( the north western Zambia) is underway. The 4 has put their heads together!! No blood shed!! But if necessary don’t forget some of their members are still under arrest!! watch out for this!!!

  49. Will take a break until we begin to discuss real issues. Election is over, we now need to look forward and assess EL on decisions being taken now. HH cannot continue to complain and expect people to continue to listen, he can appeal to the courts of law and then continue to lament his stolen election. For as long as he refuses to appeal, it means that he has accepted the outcome and should in turn spare the rest of us of his lamentations. I am sure even genuine UPND sympathizers are quite tired of hearing the same sad song. Strategize for 2016 and move on or risk losing even the few people that have sympathized with you along the way.

  50. Of course between these two stooges I’d have preferred ka Hakainde over that useless drunk chi Lungu. But b!tching about losing now is the worst thing ka Hakainde can do.

  51. It was indeed your excellency; but while your numbers are continuing to rise, the number of illiterates is on the decline; people will no longer be fooled by the mediocre leadership on display at the moment. The time has come when men and women without substance will no longer lead–when true intellectuals will take their rightful place and move this country forward. Zambia forward!!

  52. I wonder how Edgar Lungu is going pull Zambia out of a recession. Greece is in trouble again and maybe facing a second crisis. Zambia said the Kwacha was appreciating. If other great nations can’t pull themselves out of a slum, how can Zambia especially being led by a man with no vision. Edgar doesn’t have a clue on what fiscal or monetary policy is. This is where Microeconomics and Macroeconomics come to play. Edgar only knows the drinking game. Mwe bena Zambia what have you done? God help us!

  53. There is quite a wide diffrence between the supporters of HH and PF. From my own observation, those who support HH do so on merit while most PF supporters do so through tribal lines going by their comments. In Zulu, we have got a saying ”Dress a dog in the most expensive clothes but it will remain a dog and continue barking”. People who talk so loudly with insults just expose their folly and lack of wisdom just as evidenced by the comments here. It’ s self explanatory that there are numerous empty tins out there.

    • @Patson Maphosa, I would appreciate if you can’t post anything regarding zambia since you are foreigner who we won’t appreciate your negative comments. Please concentrate on Julius Malema, Helen Zile and Jacob Zuma. Please foreigners don’t bring confusion to mother Zambia.

  54. I am not surprised, HH has never lost an election so closely before. He used to come out third in all the past electoral races. The last election was a ‘near miss’ for his party and I understand the pain, bitterness, etc. However, the sooner he came to terms with reality the better. Let him accept that Edgar won and is now the republican president. If he can also learn to be humble and stop to overrate himself. Comments like ‘only dull people can vote for PF’, ‘thugs”, ‘Kaponyas’, and many others will not help UPND and HH attract any votes in urban areas.

  55. I am compelled to question the moral compass of a man who intends to be president with only support of 3 provinces in the country. HH, you were beaten. It really is wrong to claim that UPND is more popular than the PF countrywide. That is an overstatement.

  56. I am compelled to question HH’s integrity and morality- How can a man who only has support from 3 provinces expect to be president?

So according to HH, the ECZ only lost credibility when it was eminent that he would lose? This reminds me of the story of a prostitute who took to the police that she had been raped. Upon the police asking her when she realized that she had been raped, she responded, wiping away tears; “When the cheque bounced!”

  57. You have sensored. I hear he said he was not declared president because he is tonga. it sounds so familiar even at work places tongas bring out this tribe card when they are outperformed. especially if they are working with people who are of one tribe more so when they are bemba or related tribes. tongas should change. when a tonga is a boss any fool can walk up to them and lie to them about how they are being mistreated because they are tonga and they will oblige. you were not declared because you lost. we have evident of rigging in your strongholds.

  58. These STUPID and DULL TONGAS never learn. You can never and you will never win a presidential election with support only from 3 provinces. No single vote was stolen from you bustards but you just got your worth. For you to have even come out number 2 was because of the confusion in both PF and MMD just before nominations. I can rest assure you in 2016 you will get what you got in 2011. Remember in 2016 Edgar will have all govt. machinery on his side. I can’t wait to see you losing a record 5 times.

  59. He is lucky us bemba’s even voted for him. If we were tribal we could have voted for any of the four candidates from Northern Province. Now that we know who HH true colours are, even the little that we gave him shall be taken away from him. Just accept that you lost to a better candidate. By the way you were conspciously missing from the inauguration of His Excellency ECL. That shows that you are not yet mature as a politician. Start from ward level.

  60. HH should consider the loss a blessing in disguise and move on. There is not enough time between now and 2016 to repair the damage the PF have done to the economy, cost of living, society, institutions, etc for Zambians to appreciate a good leader. If EL is a good leader (which I doubt) he will start patching up things, if he is not, then things could get really bad before 2016 elections!

  61. this chap hh got courage from a witch finder in malawi where he was stipped naked and given some charms so that he wins the election.

  62. HH’s time came and passed. Now, he should concentrate on his own family and business empire. We hear that the UPND’s constitution wont allow him to stand again, since he has failed 4 times….well, this is a good test. The people are watching, if HH & UPND will change their own constitution and allow HH to stand again in 2016, how the hell should we trust them with Zambia’s constitution? Wont HH & his minions not wake up one day and say, “am the life president?”
HH cn cry all he wants, but his chance came and passed. He was beaten by someone who only campaigned for 2 months. Ouch…that must be hurting.

  63. There were too many organisation on-line that were carrying out PVT and I never came across any that shows HH leading at any particular point. So where HH claims and from where he got the figures showing him winning the elections, its only him and the watchdog who knows. My advice to HH is that claiming he won and showing his stubbornness is just making him lose the little popularity his has gained. You cant win election by winning votes in three provinces unless you tell me that the voters in those areas outnumbers that in the 7 provinces. Come to reason Mr HH.

  64. HH is worried of promises he made to the funders of his campaign! Don’t cry over spilt milk. 2016 voting will be worse to UPND if the current leadership continues because we have known the voting pattern now.

  65. Straight talk you are right, there was no pronouncement on any of the media that HH had won apart from MUVI TV and Zambian watch dog.

  66. YES CONTINUE VOTING FOR USELESS LEADERS. POVERTY IS PART OF YOUR LIVES.
I saw it when I toured Luapula province. I believed that those people have nothing to vote for.

  67. Frank what and whoever you are, leave Dr Guy Scott alone or I will hunt you down and show you that Scott deserves respect and privacy from now on. We chipuba iwe.

  68. HH should be ashamed that he lost in Lusaka and Copperbelt where people are enlightened. He can only win in southern province where they think he is a ka under 5 God. Politics are for the mighty ones like the late HEMCS and EL who was schooled by HEMCS. HH is still in diapers and still sucking from Maureen’s, Martha Mushipe’s, Moono Lubehzi’s and Masebo’s beles.

    • @ 94 DIVA

Yes, a cardinal issue indeed for HH. Lusaka and the Copperbelt are Zambia’s largest population centres. His poor showing in these two urban areas was most disconcerting. Personally, I expected him to have done better than he did in Central as well.

  69. Iwe HH please accept defeat otherwise you will die soon. You have 2016 to try of which I am sure you will lose and again you have 2021 of which you will lose. In simple terms you HH will never be president of Zambia coz you are so pompous and egocentric. If you want you hang period.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  70. I hope chilema now knows that gbm, mutati and mucheleka can not win him votes among the Bembas going by the humiliation he suffered in their constituencies including that of simbao. GBM has got savage money but he has no sensible following. Mucheleka is only fit to run an NGO while mutati and simbao are not politicians but interlectuals.2016 will even be worse for chilema because edgar is now H. E THE PRESIDENT and in any case this chilema won the Muvi tv polls by a landslide. Let him just ask ka Costa KAFUPI Mwansa to inaugurate and swear him in the name of steve nyirenda and ngenda kamayoyo so help him god.

  71. HH you can’t mourn forever naiwe, like a small child sure ! Get up and start reorganising yourselves for 2016 and cut the tribal crap Lamentations it may just stick into people’s minds and reject you again. Kamunyamuka basaa Chindi chamana. Hatwende kumbele.

  72. The game is over, why continue crying! Go for UPND convention so that a credible leader can be elected or else the party will continue losing! A miss is as good as a mile, whether less by one vote or more it is the same!!

  73. You see what we serious lack in Zambia is honesty, critical analysis and fair analysis of issues. The issue of tribal voting is the whole country not just southern province. People forgot that southerners really voted for Chiluba! It’s the whole country with a problem. People don’t want to say it but the truth is that PF is considered a Bemba party hence will get more votes in areas where the are Bemba’s. We hope the new cabinet will be balance. Eastern voted for Lungu because he is from eastern with the influence of RB.I have heard several Bemba’s say I will never vote for a Tonga, Lozi, someone from North Western etc to be a president. But I have never heard it being condemned. For this issue to be resolved we first need to understand that the problem is country wide! If we are honest…

    • Man just wait for 2016 when Zambians shall vote in the spirit of Southerners. This is when you will know that Bembas and Easterners are tribalists.

Peace and Prosperity to Mother Zambia.

  74. Encouragement from words of Abraham Lincoln – After losing the senate race.

The path was worn and slippery. My foot slipped from under me, knocking the other out of the way, but I recovered and said to myself, “It’s a slip and not a fall.”

    Viva HH 2016! 🙂

  75. Figures don’t lie. Just look at these figures and see which regional displayed tribalistic patterns of voting:

Out of 299,546, votes cast in Southern Province, 272,182 of these (or 90.9 percent) went to HH and only 20,937 (or 7 percent) voted for EL.

In Northern Province, EL got 94,169 out 121,496 votes cast (or 77.5 percent) whilst HH obtained 21,287 (or 17.5 percent).

In Eastern province, EL obtained 88,408 out of 134,386 votes cast (or 65.8 percent) whilst HH obtained 33,882 (or 25.2 percent).

Which of these provinces displayed tribalistic patterns of voting?

  76. You guys have elected a KOPONYA as President and are so happy. Shame on you! It always surprises me why Zambians always settle for mediocrity.

  77. HH WON but pf dogs planted at ECZ stole his votes no compromise on this one! Among the 32 chawama el got 13000 but the pf dogs stole 5000 and 18000 announced in favor of el. It was not fair.
