Power Dynamos have thumped Kenyan champions Gor Mahia 3-0 in friendly match played at Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.
Power are in Nairobi for a ten-day traning camp ahead of their 2015 CAF Confederation Cup outing.
Kennedy Mudenda, Larry Bwalya and Richard Kasonde scored in the game Power played just 24 hours after landing in Kenya.
Power took a 1-0 lead into the break after Mudenda scored a 45th minute penalty that resulted from the hacking of striker Alex Ng’onga in the Gor Mihia box.
Ng’onga later in the second half set up Bwalya for Power’s second before Kasonde closed the scoring after finishing off a Kelvin Mubanga pass.
Gor Mihia missed two penalties with Power keeper Joel Kanyemba stopping Timothy Otieno’s first half spot kick before Michael Olunga shot his wide.
Tenant Chilumba’s side will now face Sofapaka on Wednesday before wrapping up the Nairobi outing with a match against Tusker.
Power will face Al Khartoum of Sudan in the preliminary round of the Confederation Cup.
We told them to take Power Dynamos for AFCON instead of Chipolopolo, tabomfwa ba Janza.
What can a club do against a national team? Look at Yaya Toure, he is struggling to shine at Afco while at Manchester City he is a hero.
great job aba yellow
