The opposition National Restoration Party NAREP youth league has called on Republican President Edgar Lungu to address the high unemployment levels affecting the youths in the country.

During a press briefing where a newly elected Youth League Executive Committee was announced Chairperson Elect Benard Mwila noted that the high unemployment levels in the country puts the youths in the country in vulnerable situation which has lead to them being used as tools of violence during election campaigns.

Mr. Mwila said it was sad that the country is still grappling with high poverty levels and one the ways of improving the situation is by finding a long term solution to the youth unemployment challenges.

“I want to urge the Republican President to address the issue of unemployment especially among the young people. We note with sadness that the unemployment levels in the country remains very high and this puts the many young people in a vulnerable situation,” said Mr. Mwila.
And Mr. Mwila has called on fellow youths in the party to remain united so as to move their party to greater heights and ensure victory in the 2016 general elections.

He said the youths should remain united and ignite a spirit that would triumph over intimidation and other bad vices associated with politics in the country.

“This party can only move forward if the youths remain united as one. The youths can move the party to greater heights because youths from all over the country have ignited a spirit that triumphs over intimidation from our opponents, corruption, division and injustice.

This spirit will help us realise that even as we pursue our individual political aspirations, we put the party and nation first realising that we rise or fall together as one people,” he said.

The new executive committee in full:

Benard Mwila- Chairperson, Mwiza Mukandawire Vice Chairperson, Nomsa Zulu Secretary and her vice is Josphat Mwila others are Aaron Zimba Treasure, Vice Treasure Aubrey Williey and Wendy Mubanga who comes in as IPS.

  1. Imwe bantu please leave Lungu alone. where is he going to get jobs for you.
you vote does not count. Jobs or no jobs Mugabe will come to Lungu aid in 2016.
Just lot with your half baked degrees.

    • Ba Zambia finshi mulefwayaaa??? X 2; natwishiba fwebene eeeh…ubuchushi eeh ubuchushi eeh buchushi ebo tulefwayaa….via singing!!!

    • mwanonekela you a selfish chap just because Pf pays you would talk so silly like that. You are full of water in your head that you would not think of many young Zambians who are struggling.

  2. Zabwino palibiletu anso pano….Lungu is busy feeling cool, and playing pool, reflective of his dilapidated Chawama holiday…Zambian are actually just dull and they deserve what they get…

Actually nobody should complain over such things…didnt you vote?? all the way PF till they drop dead

    • Youth unemployment will continue to be a problem until the education system changes and our schools and colleges start to produce graduates of a better calibre. If you are a human resource manager you know what I am talking about. Some of these graduates can hardly speak or write. Just listen to some of the commentaries on ZNBC.one has to turn down the volume. The youth should not always wait upon the government to give them jobs. Use initiatives to start small businesses. But again there is the issue of funding. I have helped youths with money to start something to sustain themselves with the understanding that the money will be returned but alas most of them have never. Issue of trust!

  3. Give Lungu time to unveil his programs. No one can start working without first being appreciative of the prons and cons. Please people cool.

  4. Lungu eeeh Lungu eeeh Lungu eo tulefwaya. ..

Nomba mwalafyaya nangu tamulefwaya….this is the Lungu you wanted….
HH please get ready..2016 it’s all yours

    • No Thanks bwana,we the poor believe in lungu because he is poor like the poor majority of us. Its not govt to make anyone rich just work hard my friend because even if hh won I don’t think all the youths will get employed or un less you are only counting the youths of southern province. We want a president for all Zambians. ECL FOR 2016

    • This was HH’s best chance, 2016 he shall be erased. In 2016 Lungu shall not have Guy Scott confusing the PF. MMD shall be back to stability and the game shall be a foot. Please Nawakwi band with Miyanda and lead us forward.

  5. NAREP youths, go to the respective ministries and Permanent secretaries. In commerce and Finance and place your demands there.

  6. Having hopes for a politician to create jobs for the youth its like having hope of finding a toilet on a minibus. So the best is to try and work hard and see what you can do by your own means. Please vote but do not have high hopes for jobs in return
