The Alliance for a Better Zambia has announced that it will back the ruling PF in the Chawama, Masaiti and Senga Hill by-elections.

Secretary General Mulenga Shula said in statement that ABZ will not field candidates but support the ruling party because the two parties are still in an alliance entered into during the January 20 presidential by-election.

Ms Shula said in a statement to today that the electoral pact which ABZ entered into with the PF has continued.

‘As such, our party will not put up candidates in the forthcoming parliamentary by-elections in Chawama, Masaiti and Senga Hill. Instead we shall rally behind the candidates that our alliance partner Patriotic Front will adopt,’ she said.

Ms Shula said all ABZ members including Party President Frank Bwalya will campaign for the PF candidates in the three constituencies.

She said she is sure that PF will adopt popular candidates who will not only add value to the line up of PF members of parliament but deliver development to their constituencies and strengthen the party.

  1. Some parties worth de registering themselves and archived .

  2. Agony is to form an opposition party and only to realize that you have no idea absolutely empty then you come out strongly supporting the ruling party against whom you formed your party in the first place.

  3. oh God help the man. What is the purpose of his party? If you cannot beat them just join them. Visionless.

  4. Why not just close this useless party? And LT do us a favour there must be more important news than this out there.

  5. Good decision altho ABZ is really nothing. By the way, why is ABZ not refered to as a tribal party? Check the office bearers.

  6. This stupid Bwalya who does he think he is if its a job you are looking for just go and beg for it…….stop your silly talk as you seem not to have your own brain.

    • Haah! to hell with the Catholics? My assss, don’t blame the Catholics for the ineptitude of the uncircumcised dimwit Bwalya. This guy is rotten to the core in every aspect of existence. He doesn’t know wether he is coming or going. This guy is the real chumbu munshololwa. He has no moral sinews at all. Ni chenda Mwamba!

    • @ FTJ was a thief

Please, try to read Jesuits comments on current situation in Zambia before making such 5tupid comment. All Zambians know who is this parasitic prostitute. There is no need to equal him with whole of Catholics believers.

  7. Very useless. what does your memorandum of understanding with the PF states. You always supports what PF does and and at no time did we ever hear PF supporting you (ABZ). Since there are 3 by elections, why not field your candidate in one of the three so that PF can also support you unlike surrendering all the three seats in the name of alliance. This alliance thing Bwalya always talks about is neither here nor there as far as PF is concerned. Frank Bwalya and Cosmo Mumba are the most useless politicians Africa has ever produced.

  8. Agony is conducting a red card campaign in 2011 just to find that in 2015 u need the help of the one you de-campaigned to assist u have a job in pf govt

  9. To Bwalya:
“…Inspired by Divine Law, the Ten Commandments exhorts: “Though shalt not kill”. The JCTR is abhorred by government’s response to the horrifying murder of Mr Matapa. Further, we feel aggrieved with police’s general conduct prior to, during and after the death of a harmless citizen of the Republic. By teargasing the funeral procession the police acted dastardly, shamefully, dishonorably and senselessly.
    Matapa’s blood is crying out for justice. We cannot help but end with a quote from Genesis narrating God’s anguish when humanity experienced the first murder of Abel by Cain his brother;

    • “And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.” (Genesis 4:10).

  10. What was the significance of killing a chicken at a rally? Very petty and naive politician without sense of direction of mobilizing his party.
