UPND settles for Charles Kaselwa, Peter Mumba for Chawama and Masaiti polls

The opposition UPND has picked business man Charles Kaselwa as its candidate for the forthcoming Chawama parliamentary by election.

The party has also selected Peter Mumba, a former Permanent Secretary to contest the Masaiti seat on the UPND ticket.

UPND Vice Spokesman Edwin Lifwekelo revealed the names of the two candidates in an interview on Thursday.

Mr Lifwekelo said the party will announce the candidate for Senga Hill parliamentary by election in due course.

He said the party is confident of scooping the three seats.

    • Wanting Mpombo on your team is desperate. Mpombo is used and trashed and it is all but over for him.

  1. I’m just watching from afar! UPND have to do a lot of clean up in the party to get rid of the regionalism! Good luck!!!!!

  2. UPND is scooping both seats. I stay in chawama and people of chawama are not happy with a lot of issues in this constituency. They now have hope in Charles being local person there. Lambas do not even want to hear anything to do with PF…landslide victory for Peter and UPND. Katambo it will be history with your corruption.

  3. come and see you for yourselves ba upnd. im in masait and i will vote. we have already made up our mind. we cant vote for regional hh or any one standind for upnd kantemba. its pf all the way and beyond 2016.

    • The Chosen One, the flag is based on the browser’s IP domain , not necessarily the physical address of the individual. Not everyone here is in the diaspora.
