  1. ok. Twaufwa! so what is next. What did he discusss. Fuel shortages and free falling Kwacha or what? We want to know.

    • Welcome Mr President. The only problem is that he has become a liability because of his health. The government has to spend more money to manage his condition. Otherwise, thank God that he is back in office.

May the people of Zambia learn to support their leaders and their communities. Lord hold their tongues and lift their brains.

    • LUNGU YOU WILL JUST DIE FOR NOTHING. JUST STEP DOWN AND SAVE THE LITTLE ENERGY THAT YOU STILL HAVE. IF YOU WANT TO PROLONG YOUR LIFE A LITTLE FURTHER, RESIGN. WE ADVISE YOU TO STEP DOWN BECAUSE WE LOVE YOU AS FELLOW HUMAN BEING.

    • Its good the President is back in the driving seat.

On the issue of the medical review for the president: I strongly feel the president can be reviewed in Zambia by the Zambian medical officers that were part of the team attending to him in SA.

At the same time, if Zambins can protest the hike in DSTV subscriptions, why cant we protest, petition the end to medical tourism by our leaders and send a strong and unyeilding message that we MUST improve our hospitals so that we all use the same facilities just the South Africans do?

Lets be bold enough and do this

    • Welcome Mr. President your excellence and good to have you back in good health and spirit.

      These are key issues which needs your urgent attention;
      1. the free falling kwacha
      2. pending poor harvest due to a number of both natural and man made circumstances. For the man made, poor marketing of the 2013/2014 crops by FRA. Unfortunately this year the rainfall partners have not been favorably
      3. Poor education performance, pass rate was too bad and this has been under PF governance especially for this year’s results at grade 12
      4. fuel situation and the conflicting statements from your minister incharge
      5. Constitution making process
      6. the coming to a halt the constraction of road, especially Great East road around Chainama hospital

    • Eh! did u say inonge wina azalila? Careful what u say. 2016 niya Moto. Everyone will be there including Rainbow. Kapena Ni lungu azalila mobga RB.

  2. Please guys learn to do a bit of research before blogging your trash. The Dollar is faring very stronly against all major currencies.Look at the Euro today against the dollar and you will have an idea.It is not just the Kwacha getting the battering.Do you know the effects of QE?

    • That’s not the only reason. Poor economic performance, incoherent policy, poor fiscal and monetary policy, the deficit, balance of payments, investor perception etc.

  3. So if someone is punching you hard, should you just receive the punches. So if the dollar is getting strong, H.E. ECL should just watch? Remember Mwanawasa punched the dollar to K2,350. Why should PF not make the Kwacha strong? Can ECL tell us how he intends to do this.

    • I get really surprised when people say “the man has only been in office for 3 months’ he can’t change the economy in such a short period of time”

By short period I always assume they mean, he can’t have a positive effect on the economy in 3 months, Yet he seems to have managed so well to negatively affect the economy hasn’t he?

If 3 months is enough for the economy to suffer so much loss it surely should be enough to if not grow the economy to at least maintain it to where it was three months ago.

  4. There are adverse effects also when the kwacha gains too much for an economy that imports 3 quarters of it’s goods and services.

    • Yaba! ATI support in kitwe is growing! Look at the composition of kitweans; unemployed, shortsighted, blind followers, not analytical, still hoping for the mines, hungry, easily hoodwinked in some software, lazy, the list is endless. What a pity! Harder times are coming and we will see whether the few pints of chibuku will rescue you. Sorry for u.

  5. EL should not bow to public pressure and ‘force’ himself to work as a convalescent. Take medical leave and just rest. You are the DULY elected president of the Republic of Zambia your medical condition notwithstanding.

  6. people of God, i still strongly believe that EL was elected by God to do one or two things or to take us to the next genaral election. what we need to do is to advise him correctly on both economical issues and his health. let the people surrounding him not to lie him that he can still continue if his health does not favour him simply because they have not gained enough money for themselves. God punishes peolpe who watch when something wrong happens. Advise the president correctly and hear what himself thinks.Do not ask him to do what he says he can not because of your personal interest.
