Zesco captain hails free-scoring Justin Zulu

Zesco United captain Jacob Banda has hailed midfielder Justin Zulu’s scoring prowess in the 2015 CAF Champions League campaign.

Zulu has scored all the three goals Zesco has registered so far in the Champions League.

Zulu on Saturday scored a last minute goal as Zesco drew 1-1 with Guinea’s AS Kaloum at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the first leg match of the first round.

“He is playing well and Justin knows how to position himself well,” Banda said.

“He has been instrumental to the team,” he added.

Meanwhile, Banda remains hopeful that Zesco will reach the pre-group stage of the Champions League despite the 1-1 home draw with Kaloum in the first leg of the first round.

“We will work hard in the return leg knowing that we can also score away like they scored here,” he said.

Banda added:”I think we are going into the group stage looking at the way we played.”

  1. ….This has really been a very bad year for soccer for the nation as whole.
Senior Team booted out in the first round
    U-17 Same
    U-20 Same
    Power Worse
    Zesco …..

  2. What do you expect, when 50 years after independence we still do have a national team!! Dont be fooled ladies and gentlemen, our so called national team is just a “Lusaka and Copperbelt select team”. When is FAZ going to start a programme to scout for talent all over Zambia? Who knows there might be a Messi in Kaputa, a Neymar in Mwinilunga and a Cristiano in Sesheke!! Without a scouting programme we shall never tap this talent.
