Chitembeya slams Rangers’ FAZ constitution amendment proposal

Share

Ex-FAZ committee member Henchel Chitembeya has opposed the proposal by Nchanga Rangers and Afrisport stating that one of the qualification for a person to stand as FAZ president, one must have served in the association either as an executive committtee member, treasurer or vice president.

Ahead of this monthends FAZ AGM, Nchanga and Afrisport have proposed that only a person who has previously served as either association’s committee member, treasurer or vice president should contest the FAZ presidency.
This proposal has been put forward as a discussion item at the coming AGM.

But Chitembeya said the proposal by the two pro-Kalusha Bwalya clubs is retrogressive.

He said the proposal is targeted at individuals who want to challenge Kalusha at the 2016 election.

“This proposal is very useless, it is targetted at individuals. You can’t come up with such a draconian proposal this does not make sense,” Chitembeya said.

“The problem is that we have too much amateur administrators at clubs so they don’t know what effect their proposal can have on football.”

Currently, anyone who has served as an executive committee member of an affiliated club or association for a period not less than five years is eligible to challenge for the president of FAZ.

Chitembeya added:”We should be proposing ways of stopping our national teams from getting eliminated in the first round. How we should camp our team and how to improve youth football. We need progressive proposals.”

  2. All these guys belong to munkombwe school of the belly without the nation at heart.Developed countries have made strides because they listern what are cries of citizens in order to develop simple.Try is see better results

  3. Its true Henshel these guys what to make football unattractive to professionals. Afrisport is run and owned by Gabriel Kaunda a relative to Kalusha plus puppert Siwale so are looking for ways to keep themselves relevant by keeping Kalu and group. The calibre of some C/members and some councilors is pathetic. We know by now they ve started bribing councilors so that it goes thru. Now the guys ve become rich to propose candidates fees! Its simply time for them to start looking for jobs elsewhere

  4. Am tired of kalu and the crew they are all corrupt, zambian football is now going down because of the same. Try to find out from the players you notice about this corruption. Most players should have a tip for a coach that’s when he can be favered by a coach. So the proposal is a planned move by the same crew. They should also let the soccer players who are registered to vote not only the councilors. They say faz is independent but when they bring problems like failing to pay coaches we as tax payers are the one to pay. K3.2m is a lot of money which can develop the country.
