FORMER president of the defunct Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) father Frank Bwalya has said president Edgar Lungu is the ‘Joshua’ of Zambia taking over from late President Michael Sata who he described as a ‘Moses’.
Father Bwalya was speaking this morning on Let The People talk program on Radio Phoenix that he decided to disband his party and join the Patriotic Front (PF) because President Lungu is like a Joshua in the bible who took over the mantle from Moses to take the people of Israel to a promised land.
Father Bwalya was responding to a caller who wanted to know what had changed in PF from the days of President Michael Sata to this day.
“I didn’t agree with President Sata on many issues that include the denying of permits by police for other political parties to hold rallies and the frequemcy at which we held by elections in the three years that he ruled,” he said.
Father Bwalya added that Mr Lungu has shown good leadership by addressing many issues that affect people including the reduction mealie meal prices.
“I formed ABZ to take the people of Zambia to a promised land but now that vision has been taken over by President Edgar Lungu vision. I am no longer the Joshua,” he said.
Father Bwalya yesterday dissolved his party and joined the PF as an ordinary member saying the decision to join the ruling PF follows the solid working relationship his party had with the PF and its leader Edgar Lungu in the run up to the January 20th presidential election this year.
And Patriotic Front Media and Publicity Director Brian Hapunda has welcomed the decision by Agenda for Better Zambia President Father Frank Bwalya to join the PF.
Mr. Hapunda has urged PF members to embrace and work with everyone who has joined the ruling party.
Mr. Hapunda was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka.
On Thursday, Alliance for a Better Zambia-ABZ- President Father Frank Bwalya announced the dissolution of his party to join the Patriotic Front.
Father Bwalya says time had come for Zambians to unite and create a stable political dispensation that promotes socio-economic growth.
Edgar Lungu is a curse to Zambia.

Edgar Lungu cannot and will never be the Joshua of Zambia.

I think Father Bwalya is the most credible father in the history of Catholic. He has fought for our rights and indeed he deserves the best to be accorded to him. He is a wise gentleman and has very good leadership qualities. Indeed he has seen the Edgar Lungu is indeed our Joshua. Edgar has liberated zambia from chains of poverty. 1. Frank Bwalya does not have right to be addressed or refereed as “Father” as such title implies that he is still active member of the clergy, which he is not;
2. Frank Bwalya has put his soul and moral integrity behind his “Earthly” ambition and greed for selfish political expedients and power and as such cannot be addressed as “Father”;
3. Frank Bwalya life stile is a clear and unmistakable affront to any tenant of Christianity as his actions speak louder than any his statement and
