SuperSport courting Elijah Litana as football pundit

Share

SuperSport wants to engage ex-Chipolopolo star Elijah Litana as a pundit for the FAZ Super League.

Elusive Litana is currently the coach of Kafulafuta Football Club in Masaiti District.

SuperSport Marketing Manager – Southern Africa Marlon Kananda is behind the idea.

“We are considering to start using Elijah Litana to analyse the Zambian Premier League,” Kananda said.

“Hopefully we can conclude soon and bring him on board. We have other people we are considering also,” he said.

The former Saudi Arabia based defender had a stint as coach of Division One North side Mining Rangers between 2008 and 2010.

Litana was a key member of the Chipolopolo squad that won silver and bronze at the Africa Cup in 1994 and 1996 respectively.

  1. The guy can’t speak English, why do you want to punish him. That’s why he is elusive. He speaks good lamba, unless you allow him to use his local language. By the way, lamba is a sweet language, I love it.

    • On the contrary he speaks very good english.Even better than Kalusha Bwalya. The BBC sports team had a 45 min interview with him a few years ago.

    • Litana speaks the Queens language fluently than most politicians we currently have in the National Assembly. He is not elusive because he cant speak English that is for sure.

    • Sop mocking Lamba speakers, you numskull!
Elijah is just a quite guy not because he can’t speak good english.

Even some British people themselves who have good command of their mother tongue can be reserved. Good famous examples are Premiers Tony Blair and David Cameron can be said to be talkative but Premiers John Major and Gordon Brown are reserved? Is it lack of english? Its just their nature.

  2. … and Zambia has a lot more people with potential who can effectively run the affairs of FAZ than this so called Kalu who wants to become wamuyaya FAZ president. Kalusha runs FAZ from South Africa and his agenda has no interest of the country apart from advancing his personal goes. He has to be stopped from becoming FAZ president at all costs. He has destroyed the soccer in Zambia and its time that we wake up and see through his agenda. He is simply using FAZ as a ladder into FIFA

  3. what is wrong with you zambians? its not about speaking good English but the ability to analyz. south Africans at times use their local langues and you have not complained. The idea is 100% well come

  4. The English people who live in Zambia for a long including some of their kids born in Zed cries seeing how the country moves with no real proper direction. They say it’s a mess and not the meaning of independence. Everything seems rotten.
