An interdenominational Organisation has congratulated President Edgar Lungu for the appointment of the first ever Zambian Ambassador to Israel, Martin Mwanambale.
Jerusalem House of Prayer –Zambia Founder and Senior Pastor Subusisiwe Zulu said the time for the appointment was divine.Reverend Zulu said the establishment of the embassy has come after 40 years of struggle and is in line with Zambia’s declaration as a Christian Nation.
She noted that the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation was a manifestation of God’s love for the nation.Rev. Zulu said the appointment of an Ambassador to Israel it was an act of God and added that the Head of State must be praised for making the decision.
She said the late President Michael Sata established and connected the nation of Zambia to Israel by declaring that a residential embassy be opened in Israel exactly 40 years after Zambia was disconnected from Israel in 1973.
Rev. Zulu said a thanks giving service was conducted at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross on 14th December 2013 where government was represented.She said later President Lungu sealed it by the swearing in of the first ever Zambian Ambassador to Israel, saying this fulfilled Gods purpose and aligning the nation to the full benefits of Gods covenant blessings

Israel can be used as a Strategic Partner for Zambia to Learn how this country has enhanced it’s Agri and Telekom industries plus others in the middle of hostlilites. Besides we have a lot of Jews in Zambia who are well meaning to Mother Zambia so it’ indeed has been long overdue.
How have we been a Christian Nation for this many years and not have an embassy in Israel? We are to be the first to preach the word of God to the lost Jewish people of Israel. A good 90 percent of them d not have the saving grace.

The ties with Israel were cut off by KK but during MMD rule a connection as made as there was an Ambassador to Israel but he was based in Kenya. The same diplomat to Kenya also represented Zambia in the Seychelles, Sudan and Israel. Check with Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
So Sata did not connect Zambia to Israel at all. The tie was there but what he did was to establish a chancery where there was a permanent ambassador.
Frederick Chiluba in 1991 pronounced the restoration of diplomatic relations with Israel. He said as a born again christian he was heeding the bible. He was restoring relations with Israel because it is written in the bible that God said he would bless Israel and her friends and curse israel’ s enemies. So Chiluba was hoping God would bless Zambia after this action.
