President Edgar Lungu is tomorrow expected in Muchinga Province for a one-day official visit.
Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe, who confirmed this to the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Mpika today, said President Lungu is expected to arrive in Mpika around 08:00 hour tomorrow.
Mr. Nundwe said President Lungu is scheduled to have a closed door meeting with traditional leaders before proceeding to commission Mpika District Hospital whose phase one works have just been completed at a cost of K10.1 million.
He said the President is expected to return to Lusaka later in the day.
And Patriotic Front (PF) Muchinga Province Chairlady Mary Chifuna said the party in the region was excited to host President Lungu who will be making his debut visit to the province after being voted into office three months ago.
Lungu is the most traveled in his mother’s litter!

Katwishi and friends. Lusaka times is a respectful website where insults are not needed. Why bring HH into this article. When people co0mplain that the President is the most traveled of all Zambian president. Present facts to educate and counter it. The reason why people complain because of the cost associated with the president traveling. Yesterday vehicles were refueling at Engen that were in advance party going to Mpika. The total cost of fuel was K50,000 and Out of Station allowance for the support staff (police, drivers, protocol) for 6 days @ K800 x 40 people comes to k192,000. This does not include the ministers, PS, PF officials, etc. That is why some of these small things can be delegated to Ministers. But we all know its part of Lungu rampaging for 2016.
#10 Ruth, Sorry my brother/sister for my retort. The Republican President is not a President of Lusaka only. He is republican head of all Zambians who have the right to have his visit and interaction. He was voted by the same people and should be meet I ng them. Expecting him to avoid visiting parts of his country until election time is irrational call. Resenting costs of presidentical security detail is even immature thinking. Cheap is not always cheap. Protect the presudency always.
@ RUTH the president is entitled to commission or move to any part of this country with the entourage whether you will like it or not. Tell me how much money are you going to contribute for you to let president not to visit?
