Sports Zambia secure Malawi friendly

“Zambia will play an international friendly match against Malawi on May 10,” Tembwe said.

“The match is scheduled for Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.”

“Since the match will not be played on a Fifa sanctioned date only players from the local league will be invited. The match will be used as preparation for the 2015 Cosafa Cup.”

Malawi and Zambia will later head to the 2015 Cosafa Castle Cup that South Africa will host from May 17-30.

Zambia and Malawi have been handed group stage byes and will enter the competition at the quarterfinal stage.

Zambia await winners from Group A competing Namibia, Zimbabwe, Seychelles and Mauritius while on May 25 while Malawi will face Mozambique on May 24 in their last eight game.

  1. Everyday ni Malawi. Zambia has played Malawi 9000,000 times since independence. Can the FAZ executive be more imaginative? Dont you guys have some initiative apart from the initiative of stealing finances? We saw Brazil one time… now we are back to Malawi Malawi Malawi. That just shows how low our ambitions are.

    • Why not just play ZANACO,…You have to associate yourself with challenges that make your life harder if you want to be better,,,FAZ doesnt want Chipolopolo to better, they just want to record a win to cover up their lack of form……..

  2. In as much as we wud want the teams to participate in this tournament what measures has the organizing committee of COSAFA put in place in respect of foreign supporters for respective teams… xenophobia temunobe!!!!!!!

  3. Things never change, still organising friendlies on the cheap by these corrupt empty suits…really laughable!!
