Sate-Sate inspires Wadi Degla to victory

Striker Ronald Kampamba on Tuesday night inspired his Egyptian club Wadi Degla to a home win over Ismaily.

Kampamba provided the assist for teammate Dodo El-Gabbs to score a late winner in the 86th minute of Degla’s 1-0 home win over Ismaily.

The Zambia striker played the full 90 minutes in his sixth match since joining the Cairo club in February on a two-and-half-year deal from Nkana.

While Kampamba has yet to score for Degla, his assist was his second since his debut match on February 4 in a 2-1 away loss to Petrojet in another 90 minute performance.

In-between, Kampamba has clocked 54 minutes in a 1-0 loss to El Shorta and sat out Degla’s 2-0 win against Dakhleya.

Kampamba later played 44 and 22 minutes in 0-0 and 1-1 draws against Al Ittihad and Rajaa Matrouh respectively.

Meanwhile, Degla stay 5th on the Egyptian premier league table 40 points with a game in hand from 24 matches played.

They are 17 points behind leaders Zamalek following that win over 11th placed Ismaily.
