Zanaco continue to enjoy a three-point lead at the top of the FAZ Super Division table after a 2-1 away win over Nakambala Leopards in Mazabuka on Saturday.
The rare away victory at difficult Nakambala Stadium is only Zanaco’s second ever win over Nakambala since the Sweet Boys made their top flight debut in 2006.
However, it was Nakambala who drew first blood at home through a 10th minute goal by Lameck Banda.
Zanaco equalised in the 41st minute courtesy of Henry Banda to see the two sides goal 1-1 into the break.
Salulani Phiri handed Zanaco its first win at Nakambala since 2011 with a goal in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile, Zesco United kept a close second after a 1-0 away win over Konkola Blades at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
Cletus Chama scored the games lone goal in the 71st minute to end Blades unbeaten start to the new season.
Zanaco and Zesco are now the only unbeaten sides in the league this season.
