Felix Katongo says he is working hard to justify his Zambia recall.
Katongo has been recalled to the Zambia fold for the first time since September, 2014.
The midfielder is a late call-up for Zambia’s friendly against Malawi to be played this Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
“I am very happy I can’t lie. I am very happy and will work hard to prove myself and to show people that I am still the way I was,” Katongo said.
Katongo’s last game for Zambia was in a 2-1 away loss to Cape verde on September 10 in a 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifier.
And Katongo said he was hoping to also make the Cosafa Cup team when Zambia travels to South Africa in a fortnights time to defend their regional crown.
“I am not scared of competition I know myself I have played football in different countries and will accept if the coach puts someone ahead of me,” Katongo said.
“I will be happy for that person but I am not scared of anyone as long as I am here I will take my position.”
He must have given the FAZ presidante a ‘little thin’ something as per normal Galu’s money making ventures!
@MB, some of you people the way you are jealous of others??? You might even be jealous of your father.
If you knew how to watch football you would understand that Felix is good player, better than Chris. But Chris Katongo is a better businessman. Have you seen how he is making money in commercials? Will you blame Kalusha for that success too?
..Jet Lee wa bola fye
How old is he now, maybe like 39 or …………..
Finally he gave up and bribed the boss-man. Lucky mwana wakwitu always sat on the bench drinking water at the pick of his career when ever called to play by that Col. Banda in-charge of the nation team at one time in the 80s because he refused to bribe as well as Stone Nyerenda. Zed had been rotten since UNIP time.
If you have no vision like the FAZ empty suits you cannot move forward! !
40 year old man still playing for the nation??????
@MB, that is what we call being low, silly, and childish.
@Jay Jay, at least for you, you have no empty suit but an empty bamba.
