Botswana coach plots Zambia U23 downfall

Botswana Under-23 team coach Pio Paul is confident that his side will triumph over Zambia in the second stage of the 2015 African Championship qualifiers.

Zambia travels to Gaborone for the first leg tie on 22 May prior to the return match set for 29 May in Lusaka.

Fighton Simukonda’s boys were on bye in the first round as Botswana were eliminating Kenya.
Paul said the Young Zebras can beat Zambia.

“I have no doubt that we can beat Zambia.Zambia is a strong side but we can beat them,” he told Botswanapremierleague.com on Tuesday.

Zambia has been dominating Botswana at all levels.

“We struggled in Kenya mainly because of stage fright but we will work on that,” Paul said.

The overall winners between Zambia and Botswana will face Ivory Coast in the final round for a place at the Senegal competition.

The African Under-23 Championship acts as qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
