Nkana suffered their worst loss of the season on Saturday after promoted Lusaka Dynamos dispatched them to a stinging defeat at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Full time was met by tear gas and protesting Nkana fans who were baying for coach Beston Chambeshi’s blood.
Meanwhile, Dynamos scored all three goals in the first half after Nkana had made a false start.
Conlyde Luchanga put Dynamos ahead in the 21st minute to stun the visitors.
Veteran striker Elvis Kataya who was playing his first game for Dynamos this season after a year away from football added a first half brace to hand Dynamos a famous home win.
Kataya’s first came in the 28th minute after beating defender Maybin Chishimba on the left wing before firing the ball past Nkana goalkeeper Rabson Muchelenganga.
He put the result beyond doubt in the 38th minute from a similar angle when he beat Given Sinyangwe to send Nkana reeling on the ropes.
Nkana striker Simon Bwalya then had two great efforts saved by Dynamos goalkeeper Maybin Phiri in the 56tgh and 68th minute as Dynamos rode happily into the sunset after ending the 12-time champions six-match unbeaten run.
