Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali will today find out whether he will go to jail for allegedly raping 23 year old Ruth Zulu or be set free when the Magistrate Willie Zulu reads out his.
Magistrate Zulu found Tayali, 38, an Information Technician of flat number 1, Villa Elizabetha in Lusaka with a case to answer after he was charged with one count of rape contrary to the law.
Particulars allege that Tayali on July 16, 2012 at Barn Motel Lusaka had unlawful sex of Ruth Zulu without her consent.
Rape in Zambia carries a maximum sentence of 25 years.
If he goes in, he only has himself to blame – nothing political about his case.
The chap has been acquitted. No one should refer to him as a rapist.
@Czar, why you wished him jailed? Leave the youngman alone, everything is political. How can Tayali rape someone, he only rapes politicians like Kambwili.
If you read on main headlines, they have sued him for something else. That boy is some peace of energy for sure.
He has been acquitted, anyone with half a brain could see that it was a fake charge. Tayali is a loud mouth and irritating but not a rapist.
Date rape is a crime Ba Tayali wesu. Having a drink and driving to book a room getting a lady in a room is not consent No means No! And since most men think its okay to date rape a woman and this is becoming prevalent we shall sentence you to 5 years with hard labour on appeal we shall increase it to 15 years given your standing in society to serve as an example to men of zed!
The chap has been acquitted. No one should refer to him as a rapist. Now he should settle his legal bills.
What is consent…”pay-me or wanya nikuulula ati wanirepa” hence the acquito
Prison is the safest place for rapist.let the fcking animal be caged so he should stop bucking anyhow.

Truth, and only truth, will set us free. Zambia is becoming very sophisticated, and young people especially, should watch what they do, say, watch and touch. The perfect path is that of Christ Jesus.
