A 17- year- old pregnant woman of Siavonga district in the Southern Province has been killed allegedly by her husband after a domestic quarrel.
Siavonga District Commissioner (DC) Lovemore Kanyama confirmed that Linar Buleke 17, was killed last night.
ZANIS reports that Mr Kanyama disclosed that Chimuka Hachilala, 26, sliced the neck of the wife using a knife in Kanyelele compound. The DC has since called for the arrest of Chimuka who is on the run.
The sister to the deceased Cecilia Buleke said she was killed using a sharp knife in Kanyelele compound.Ms Buleke noted that her sister has been having marital problems with the husband in the past.She said that the deceased was also three months pregnant.
Ms Buleke said the cause of the dispute that led to her sister being killed is not known as even the neighbors failed to explain at the time she met her fate.
