FORMER Tourism and Arts Minister Sylvia Masebo is today expected to appear for questioning at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) offices in Lusaka.

Ms Masebo, who is also Chongwe Member of Parliament (MP), has been summoned by the Commission to answer to issues bordering on corruption.

She was scheduled to appear at the ACC head offices for questioning at 09:00 hours yesterday but was excused as she was attending to other matters.

“I am not appearing at ACC today, I have been excused but am appearing tomorrow, I think in the afternoon,” Ms Masebo said in an interview.

Meanwhile, ACC acting public relations manager Dorothy Mwanza declined to divulge details of Ms Masebo’s summoning to journalists who gathered at the Commissions offices awaiting her arrival.

Ms Mwanza said information related to the former Minister’s case was highly confidential and could not be easily released to the public for fear of jeopardising investigations.

“I can confirm that Ms Masebo has been summoned to answer to issues bordering on corruption. I cannot say anything other than that as this is the official position ,” she said.

  1. look at all the people in the picture supporting masebo all seem to be lacking something i mean njalanjala compared to her, whats wrong with us zambians?

    • @Humanity, I agree with you about this depressing observation you’ve made – the gloomy faces of most Zambians in the broader society and their malnourished bodies are a sad indication of the true state of affairs in our country. Very sad indeed…

  2. Well dinner at Mrs Mwanz’s house can never be boring for her confidants! You get ALL the inside knowledge hot gossip!

Quote ‘to answer to issues bordering on corruption.’ Bordering? That sounds doubtful……..just swing that woman! Find something….we need to decommission her for the election period, so she keeps her mouth.

Why oh why is she and GB still, PF? See! Bad things always come back to haunt you!

  3. This prostitute MP (masebo)is corrupt and she must be thoroughly investigated and if she should be prosecuted. She is useless.I want to thank the ACC for commencing this process. No one is a sacred cow .This is good so that would be corrupt individuals will learn from this

  4. ZAMBIAN political landscape needs a breath of fresh air by undergoing a total overhaul. Renewal of the Republic is necessary from top to bottom of the Republic’s government structures.

  5. At the end of the end of it the guys will now be waiting for Silvia to APRECIATE THEIR SUPPORT IN CASH
