The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) in the Northern Province has welcomed the appointment of Kasama Central constituency Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba as the party’s vice president for administration.
UPND Provincial chairman Nathan Ilunga says the opposition political party is confident that Mr. Mwamba will add value to growth of the party in the area.
Mr. Ilunga said there is need for UPND members to continue supporting the party leadership ahead of next year’s tripartite elections.
He noted that the country needs a strong opposition to offer checks and balances to the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) government in order to growth the democratic dispensation in the nation.
Mr. Ilunga said his party will continue to provide constructive criticism to the government so that the wishes of the general citizenry can be achieved.
He said time had come for all political parties in the country to co-exist despite their different ideologies in their manifestoes.
Mr. Ilunga has since urged Mr. Mwamba to freely associate with party members at the grass-root level in order to promote oneness in the UPND.

The confusion he brought to PF will now transfer to UPND

NORTHERN PROVINCE UPND RUBBISH
The entire Northern Province UPND is trash! That UPND is only known to HH and his PF turncoats like GBM not us in Kalomo! Lessons will be learnt by those celebrating over a reject from PF. We all know this man from the time he mismanaged his own workers, mistreated his own wives and publicly ridiculed our party UPND including our blind leader HH. In Jan 2015 we borrowed all sorts of crooks from other parties because of HH’s inferiority complex and lost even with vast mobilization on the ground. Some of us lost our last ngwee for the love of UPND and now we cant even have a decent meal.
