FDD President Edith Nawakwi says the FDD has information that the PF through the well funded State Security Intelligence are planning to manipulate the out come of the election in four polling station and has threatened to throw anyone caught in one of the lakes in the constituency.
Ms. Nawakwi said PF have failed to convince people to vote for them and have decided to use presiding officers at four polling stations whom they intend to pay so that they can manipulate the out come of the elections.
She called on ECZ Director of election Priscilla Isaacs to direct State Intelligent Security officers to live the constituency because their job is not to still votes on behalf of the ruling party.
The opposition leader said the ruling party intends to use the high illiteracy levels in the constituency to rig the by election.
“We have information that the State Intelligence Security who are notoriously known as the OP intend to pay some Presiding Officers to rig these elections in four polling stations but we warn them to live the constituency and let the will of the people prevail. We will throw them in lake Kan’gwena , we have mobilized as opposition to make sure that the votes are protected and we are warning those targeted Presiding Officers that who ever will be caught will be made an example and embarrassed in public.
To those Officers who are being used your job loyalty is the Government and not the party in Government therefore have no business here. It is actually sad that this small constituency has been swamped by OP, we can’t move for few kilometers without finding a their car. We have done our job and we want to win or lose squarely without anyone stealing from us. They are giving a bad name and image of the ECZ when it is not their fault.”
She added that people expect the police to be on the ground because they are suppose to keep law and order but wondered what OP Officers were up to in the area and that it is baffling that police are on foot well people who have nothing to do in the Constituency are driving around in pickups.
She explained that the opposition will work together to ensure that their vote is protected saying if they think that we are alone then they will be surprised to know that we are standing as united opposition in protecting.
And the opposition leader has called on voters who do not how to vote to go with someone who will help them to vote on the candidate of their choice.
“Don’t trust anyone with your vote if you don’t know how to cast your vote. Those people you find in there are not your friends they will pretend to help when in fact they are helping to steal your vote.
It is allowed for one person to vote on behalf of a friend or family member so make sure that you take someone with you who will help you,” she said.

@5 Dombwa, so if PF is kicked out 2016, who then will take over from them? The answer is that from the current crop of liars and pretenders there is none. So are you suggesting that Zambia will become party-less and leaderless? I would rather have PF/Lungu than those other guys, because I believe today’s PF is much better than the PF of yesterday under Kabimba and others which I really loathed. Lungu has sanitised PF such that I and many other Zambians can now relate to it. At this rate, we can only see good things ahead of us.

In Zambia, this has always been the ugly face of a rulling party. Apparently it is not only PF doing it for the first time, even MMD usedf to do it, it was even worse for UNIP, for thos of you who were there during those years. UNIP even went to an extent of putting a FROG as the opposition party, What a mess was. We Zambians tend to forget so easily and yet KK is the man you give all the praise this time.
