Patriotic Front (PF) adopted candidate for Kasama Central Parliamentary seat Kelvin Sampa says he is grateful with the decision that has been made by the PF Central Committee and the entire PF leadership.

And Mr. Sampa says he is not intimidated by the former PF Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba.

In an interview with Qfm News via telephone, Mr. Sampa says it is not easy to make such a decision citing that it takes a lot of courage not only from the central committee but from the party itself.

Mr. Sampa says for the party to arrive at such a decision, the party has confidence in him thus what needs to be done at the end of the day should be done.

He says the decision to adopt him has demonstrated that politics in Zambia are not only being perceived as the ones that are mandated to assume certain positions that involve leadership but that even new comers are welcome.

Mr. Sampa says the move has not only given confidence to him but to others who want to get on board and support the party.

He adds that the President meant well when he said he wanted to work with energetic and focused young people stressing that it is evidenced with what has transpired.

Mr. Sampa has pledged his loyalty and support to the president, the party and the people of Kasama adding that he knows that the people of Kasama are craving for a leader that will truly represent them.

  1. Does it mean there are no credible people in PF to be adopted in Kasama?
Kelvin Sampa is a documented crook and PF is sending wrong signal here. There are many people with clean hands, genuine members, with no tainted past who can easily win that seat on PF. It’s time our parties both ruling and opposition start giving us credible leaders

    • But is this not an indirect way of PF interfering with the Judiciary? What makes them so sure the courts ruling will favor them? Anyway everything goes when you have a leader with no vision

  2. The Chosen One:

But that is the foundation of the PF; walaba shani? Consider the latest byes, and you will know that it is just the norm for PF to adopt such candidates. But, by the way, has the process of nullifying the seat completed now, for non-seating MPs to start announcing adoption, or boma knows the outcome already?

  3. Thats the way to go. Give people the candidate they want. Leave politics to the opposition who don’t have things to do apart from talking.

  4. Its sad that some people on this site have not realized what zed politics is about, its not about character, its about popularity.A good example is kabwe central, upnd has been fielding a well known Lawyer a mr Kabesha, for a long time, but he has been losing to people who have never even seen the inside a lecture room.

    • Yes, you are right my friend in popularity winning the votes, which is the case anywhere else in the world. The problem in Zambia isn’t that the winners are tricked or duped by these poorly educated people, but because these so called educated are usually not pillars of their societies. They are usually opportunists becoming generous to people only when they see an opportunity to make even bigger profits. The example of Kabwe’s Mr Kabesha’s a good one as that lawyer has little credibility and isn’t respected by the local populace. There are lawyers and there are LAWYERS. Until the educated talk local development and show their track record of integrity and local achievement, they will continue to be trounced by the smart thinking ill educated candidates.

  5. This man called Kelvin Sampa is a well known crook. Ask RB and Maureen how he conned them to register her trucks in his name and there after refused to hand them back. This guy has swindled big shots by making them use him as a front to do business and after that refuses to hand back.

  6. UPND is scared of Kelvin Sampa because they know that he will kolopa them…..Kelvin is a credible businessman and staunch PF supporter. They are now praying hard that the court case drags to 2016.They are panicking.

  7. Kasama is home for PF and Sampa is the man we shall vote for here. For now GBM should take a rest or possibly wait for 2016 to contest Monze central or Nega nega.

  8. Pf lost at ward level to upnd. Kasama can equally be home for upnd. No tribal politics here. Gbm should not contest. Let chilekwa stand on upnd, it will be a good game.
