RAINBOW Party leader Wynter Kabimba is the architect of the constitution-making problems and other governance challenges President Edgar Lungu inherited and it is morally and politically incorrect to blame the Head of State for problems he did not create, the Foundation for Demo

FODEP executive director MacDonald Chipenzi said if Mr Kabimba had morals and genuine about the welfare of Zambians, he should have shown remorse and apologized to the nation instead of blaming President Lungu over the country’s political and economic malaise.

Mr Chipenzi said it was unfair for Mr Kabimba who was one of the senior-most in Government and the Patriotic Front (PF) to blame President Lungu for the economic and political challenges currently facing the country.

He stated that the constitutional impasse started long before President Lungu had any form of influence in the process because Mr Kabimba as Justice Minister had adopted an antagonistic and acrimonious stance on the matter which had angered a lot of Zambians.

The FODEP chief told the Daily Nation that it was shocking that Mr Kabimba could attempt to distance himself from the economic and political problems Zambia was going through when he (Kabimba) contributed extensively to what was happening in the country.

Mr Chipenzi said Mr Kabimba as secretary general of the PF administered the affairs of the party with an iron fist and terrorized all leaders he suspected were a threat to his ambitions of tasking over the reins of the ruling party.

“It is very unfair for Rainbow Party leader Wynter Kabimba to heap the blame on President Lungu for the economic and political problems facing the country. Mr Kabimba was such a powerful man in government and the PF and he was the architect of the current constitutional impasse and other governance problems.

President Lungu has been governing for only the last seven months and he inherited the confusion that Mr Kabimba created. If Mr Kabimba had remorse and genuine about the welfare of the country, he should have apologized to Zambians before asking them to vote for him so that he could take over the governance of the country,” Mr Chipenzi said.

  1. President Sata honoured PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba for his professional legal advice regarding various bodies and local government authorities as well as his contribution towards the first Draft Constitution 2013

  2. Is FODEP now an extension of Power Failure or it’s wacko ni wacko at play? In as much as I would hurt to see Winter as our republican president, he should not to be blamed alone for the current happaenings, its the entire Panga Family.

    • Good management is making a PLAN to cope with difficult situations.
Sata, Lungu and their PF have proved that they are completely incompetent and incapable of doing this. Truly CNP!
      USELESS CLOWNS!

  3. I do miss the egotistical Summer and his escapades as acting Prez. I would say the constitutional mess had a buck that should be firmly linked to stop at the last few Heads of State… Prez Swag has the opportunity to get it right but he is too busy being the architect of his own destructive legacy…

  4. Kabimba’s political turnaround is well documented. His political fortunes backfired and attempt to camouflage is well foreseen. Attempts to rise on other people’s miseries were thwarted. Notwithstanding, FODEP chief’s defence on Lungu leaves a lot to be desired. Is it genuine or politically motivated? Just wondering.

  5. We can forgive Kabimba but cannot forget the way he handled his position of secretary general for the PF. He became so arrogant that at one time I thought that was the beginning of the end for the PF. Thank you Mr. Sata, MYSRIP, your foresight was good and you shelved this Kabimba for the sake of unity in the PF.
We would like to see an opposition that shall work with the GRZ to push development forward and not blame games and back passing like the Kabimba way. If you keep the solutions to the countries problems to your selves, you do not expect us to guess you have good plans and that’s how you loose out at end of it all.

  6. This FODEP is truly another crap ngo. Lungu amupasa chani ? Problem is some of you chaps can betray a person over an offal meat offer. Go to hell and hyng. Winter is the MAN OF THE MOMENT . Like it or not

  7. Shut up winter Kabimba!you silenced a lot of Zambian people when you had the favours of the president but now you want to pretend as if are clean you messed up during your time and therefore you must be the last man speak

  8. FODEP you telling the truth and Kabimba when it comes to political and constitutional problems President Lungu and PF are facing you are THE FATHER::

  9. Kabimba should have been arrested and put on trial for TREASON!

Zambians have short memory. This man tried to illegally grab the Presidency. In short, stage a coup!

It is not too late. Prosecute the swine to set an example to all would-be power hungry criminals that there is rule of law in Zambia.

  10. The latest opposition kantemba to be purchased by Insecure Edgar. OK let’s blame Kabimba for everything – that will immediately bring electricity and jobs! Then blame The Post for some other things and instantly rains will come early with a bumper harvest! Then start mumbling about Cartel and go back to being useless. Kaunda once said Zambians smoke too much chamba and I think he had a point…

  11. Instead of offering tangible advice, idioots are busy playing the blame game. I wonder if EL and company even understand the problems facing the country today. Blaming will not solve anything for as long as people in power are pursuing their personal agenda. Stop defending the PF and instead push them to give us the constitution period. Chipenzi is simply becoming a mouthpiece for the criminals instead of siding with the sufferers. In as much as I do support Kabimba, it is trivial to blame him when we can see clearly how the PF under EL have managed to mismanage the affairs of the country and are offering no solution whatsoever.

  12. This is sickness at its best. The President ‘s daughter is being sha.gged by some *****ic perv. WHO is also a PF parliamentary candidate in the most awaited election and the President’s men are busy pointing fingers instead of sorting out this crucial internal party problem. THIS party problem is the biggest since the demise of their late great leader. Sort IT.

  13. Comment:mmd blamed unip. Pf blames mmd.Now lungu blames kabimba instead of the big fish the late sata. But ecl has the opportunity to rectify the mess.Fun enough, hh can’t link gbm to the pf failures because he wants to use him to solicit votes from bembas. I recall upnd used to accompany rb to the courts when sata was in charge to give him solidarity but after ecl became allies and his eventual acquittal they accused the judiciary of being unindependent.

  14. kabimba admitted that he brought in Kenyans through the Nakonde border to rig the elections. this man should be jailed and the PF booted out of power by Kabimba s own admition. zambians lets wake up; it s one crook after another wanting to rule us.
