The Government says it expects Chipolopolo to beat Kenya in Sunday’s 2017 Africa Cup qualifier in Nairobi. Deputy Minister of Sports Ronald Chitotela said the Government is confident that Zambia will triumph in Kenya.
“Our message is that they must win. We are proud of them and we know that they can deliver,” Chitotela said. Zambia kicked off the 2017 AFCON qualifying campaign with a home goalless draw against Guinea Bissau in June.
“Zambians can’t afford to miss the Africa Cup.Zambians are looking forward to seeing our team qualify for Africa Cup in 2017,” he said.
George Lwandamina’s side leaves Lusaka for Kenya on Friday.
“The only way they can show appreciation for Government’s support is to deliver a positive result as they take on Kenya,” Chitotela added.
They really have to win. We waste too much money supporting the national team.
Then we shall celebrate and eat ifitumbuwa!
Its all systems go. We are ready for any eventuality.
Thanks for lip service Mr Minister
