Chilumba fumes after Power is held by Konkola

Power Dynamos coach Tenant Chilumba is disappointed with the 1-1 home draw his side forced against Konkola Blades in Saturday’s FAZ Super Division encounter at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

Power needed a 90th minute equaliser from defender Derrick Mwansa to cancel the goal scored by Konkola’s Happy Kaunda.

In a post match interview, Chilumba said Power were punished by poor finishing.

He observed that Power created many chances despite scoring only one goal.

“I am disappointed with the result.I thought we played well in the first half but we didn’t connect the chances and we were punished,” Chilumba told journalists at Arthur Davies Stadium.

“Coordination was there but we were just unlucky,” he added.

Meanwhile, Chilumba abandoned the post match interview after being queried on Power’s uninspiring form in the last two weeks in which they have drawn twice in a row.
He refused to comment on the two draws Power have posted in their last fixtures saying he needed to rest.
“Awe lekeni ntusheko (No, allow me to rest),” he responded before rushing to the dressing room.

  1. Tenant is a clueless coach. I don’t understand why Power picked on him. Can someone tell me what achievements this boy has ever scored as coach? He has now made Power Dynamos to become an average team. He can’t read a game properly thus making rehearsed substitutions. When was the last time Power changed a game plan for the better in the second half? He is a time waster, that is why I stopped even watching them. All their plans and energies ended with the Nkana win. Ma rubbish.

  2. Power management! Your coach has no ideas, bring in somebody with pedigree. Power is big club with good players but the coach is uninspiring!
