Public Order Act – Lets Pray

Share

public order

October 10th 2015 has been designated as a day of National Prayers. From the face value it looks like a very noble gesture by government.

If you think about it very critically however, it’s like a man hiding a knife at his back who then tells the group to close their eyes and pray. “No sir you have to put your knife away before we can close our eyes.”

it’s like a man hiding a knife at his back who then tells the group to close their eyes and pray

The Public Order Act is such an instrument of intimidation which the government controls and can easily do away with to show seriousness with the day of national prayers.
The Zambian government which holds all instruments of power should not initiate national prayer without showing some resemblance of sincerity, give us something tangible Mr. President to show you mean well with prayers.

We serve a living God, a practical God. Before we even step in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross for prayers, he has already answered our prayers and all he is asking for, is government to put away everything which is holding the country backwards.

The appointment of ministers from the opposition should stop immediately, this practise has created a lot of pain in the opposition and it is not well meaning. This exercise which has caused a lot of bye elections, has drained our treasury to the last penny, It is immoral and God is saying stop it.

Prayer to end corruption should be on the list because the vice does not please God, remember Zambia is a Christian nation.I believe President Lungu is sincere and the members of the opposition should take him on his word.

    • How are we going to attend national prayers when under PF, even bailing relatives out of a police cell is a crime? What kind of warped thinking is it? Now this incompetent lot wants to go and being the Bishop at church! losers!

  1. Zambia is a christian quiet well but what about the witch craft we embrace in the name of traditional ceremonies how does it conform to christian nation. There is some contradiction here.

    • Some things are not witchcraft but just African medicine.Problem with having a colonial mentality is people think everything African is bad and give it a label witchcraft.

  2. Critical thinking is none existent in Zambia…why waste even a day praying instead of folding your sleeves and doing some work!!

  3. I will be praying. I will be praying for a new Constitution. I will be praying for ZESCO power. I will be praying for WATER. I will be praying for a job. And I will be praying for FOOD on the table for my children that the very little money in my pocket can afford.

    But most of all, I will be praying for a government that is open and honest and has the interests of the people of Zambia at heart.

    And I will be praying to God to please remove this corrupt, greedy and incompetent lot of PF liars that are only interested in by-elections so they can stay in power to plunder and destroy Mother Zambia.
