Mnet Africa Zambia King of Comedy 2008 winner Bob Nkosha alias Dolika together with Organised Family will grace Zambia’s 51stIndependence Charity celebrations in London.

Speaking to Lusaka Times, Big 4 spokesperson London-based Broadcaster Chela Katwishi, confirmed the artistes participation, saying the event has been dubbed as ‘Together As One’ because part of the proceeds will be channeled to acquiring books, toys and clothes for Newlife Church in Zambia.

Chela revealed that, Big 4 team comprising, popular UK based Zamuk proprietor Ronnie Tembo, Community Favourite Fredor Restaurant proprietor Dorothy Ntitima Mubiana and Sports Analyst Kondwani Gumboh, came up with the idea as a follow-up to earlier donations made in 2011, in their quest to contribute to vulnerable children in Zambia.

He said that the artistes are expected to perform in London to a show which will see Mnet Big Brother Africa 2003 winner, Cherise Makubale, who is also proprietor of Cherise Park, in attendance as one of the VIP guests.

Chela added that London award winner DJ Blair Kami will be behind the deck with Lady Miles, while UK based song favourite Lily Mutamz of the ‘Woza’ fame will spice the show.

He also confirmed that Dorika & Organised Family are scheduled to arrive London on Monday 19th October in readiness for the celebrations.

  1. Are they going with a live band or a cd for a live play-back performance? I dont even know why Zambians go for these “live shows” when all they see is a singer miming in a mic to a song playing from a cd player. Is Dorika the Zambian medea?

    • They cant play live Music. So they are going to mime and mouth their own songs, with their voices going out of tune. What a talent-less lot!

  2. Miming or not – In London we are looking forward and exited to have them here in person for our 51st Independence Anniversary Celebrations”TOGETHER AS ONE” Thats a fact!

  3. Iwe Chi Zandonda, speak for yourself and don’t generalize like we all share your view. I live in London and you don’t speak fro me…. what you asking for I people to come and watch these chaps miming t songs we play in our living room, what a rip off! Grow up and learn that these days even in Zambia we pay for live entertainment

    • I love and respect any Zambian that do things to help themselves especially the artistes. I always speak for my self and I’m very much aware of cowardly haters that even hide their identity when they respond to the truth. I’m used to that! “GENERALLY, IN LONDON WE WILL CELEBRATE PROUDLY AS DIASPORA ZAMBIANS. I will sing along and enjoy the miming.God Bless Zambia. God Bless our London Community.

  4. Chimudala Iwe! Who is this we? You acting as if Ni Ku UK Kwa Nyoko…. Behave and organize live shows not time wasters who travel all the way to the UK from Zambia to Karaoke and dance to some DJ playing there CD

  5. These UK organisers are rip offs. I travelled all the way from Cardif even proud to pull along friend from here to travel all the way to London only to find a show in a venue like Kalemba hall (No wonder CJ is excited cause such are venues he patroned in Zambia aside mu komboni). For that price advertised rest be assured there will be no service to even beat Alpha Bar or Kumayela but some local komboni set up. I know we miss Zed but why bring the wrong standards to the UK when I see and patronise better venues like our Zimbambwe, Nigeria even Rwanda brothers host these event.. I agree with @Bad Manner, this chi man responding to say us should speak of himself ne Hule he probably is including… Zambian events in London are shit, full stop!!!!

  6. We have to encourage our fellow Zambians when they are doing great things. I just can’t understand why zambisns are full of criticism.
Learn to support your own people rather than critics all the time.
    Happy independence Zambia.
