Livingstone Member of Parliament Lawrence Evans has donated a truck worth K560,000 (five hundred and sixty thousand kwacha) to the Patriotic Front (PF) in Livingstone, for mobilization of members.

Mr. Evans said the party was faced with a challenge of transport a situation he said has hindered efforts aimed at mobilizing members.

He noted that the ruling party needed to do more in Livingstone to mobilize members as the area was a UPND stronghold.

Mr. Evans who is also Fisheries Deputy Minister was however hopeful that he would retain his seat in the 2016 General Elections.

He also pledged to deposit K15, 000 (fifteen thousand kwacha) with a filling station of his choice for fuel and another K15, 000 in the bank for the party in Livingstone to raise funds for various activities.

Mr. Evans has urged party members in Livingstone to put the donated truck to good use if the desired results were to be achieved.

He appealed to PF members that moved to other political parties to re-join the Patriotic Front and work with him to bring about development to the tourist city.

  1. Whats the news here? This man is in PF and gets his truck to use it for campaign so that they don’t lose elections, and that can be news?

  2. This is the Corruption EL talked about by people who want to be adopted for next year`s election, now we can see what he meant.
    Arrest this chap.

  3. At least he is not selfish. Generosity is what should be encouraged in people. Not akamuntu ati am rich but can’t help. This is meant to kolopa them next year. The gap has to be wide enough to avoid false claims by under 5.

You’re a f.o.o.l . where have you seen a law maker encouraging people to hop into a truck as normal transport. Why did he not acquire a bus for people. Don’t you know even at home the country is trying to curb people being ferried in trucks due to incident and casualty rate in the even of an accident. Learn to clean you mouth a.n.u.s before you write. yes good his truck can be used to ferry food and other goods for use by PF Lunatics.
      Thanks

  4. @ cat Power, pls tone down. This is just politicks. You can still deliver a valid point without insulting. After all we are in multiparty politicks. We can’t all belong to one party.
