The Young African Leaders Initiative has observed that there is a lot of discontentment in the ruling PF because President Edgar Lungu has continued to appoint MMD and UPND members into key government positions.
YALI Governance Adviser Isaac Mwanza said some founder members of the PF feel sidelined by President Lungu’s pattern of appointing opposition members into government.
Mr Mwanza warned that this has the potential to cost President Lungu the 2016 election.
He said the resignation of Miles Sampa as Commerce Deputy Minister could be a tip of the iceberg and shows that there is a lot of discontentment within the PF.
‘What is happening is that some original PF members are living like garden boys whilst those that were rejected by the Zambian people are now eating with the King,’ Mr Mwanza said.
‘From our analysis, the level of discontent might cost President Lungu victory in next year’s election,’ he said.
YALI your observation is 100% right. the likes of Dora Siliya, Siamunene, Monde, Kaingu etc are not the sharpest tools in the kitchen but how they’re getting those ministerial appointments at the expense of founding PF members, only RB knows coz even Chagwa himself doesn’t
What we saw from last elections was that the original pf did a lot of damage to the party to a point were pf nearly had no presidential candidate. But thanks to the zambians and mostly outsiders for coming to the rescue of pf. Yesterday they managed to scartter the party and today they want to be in leading positions. Let them resign. We the Zambian voters will repeat the same way of voting pf again.

Miles Sampa can’t be a litmus test for PF to lose the 2016 elections.Lungu and PF will lose because they have failed to account for the following; (1) loadshedding (2) high inflation rates and the increase in every commodites except for second hand clothes which are cheaper than a bottle of Fanta drink (3) job loses in the mine sector(4) UNZA and CBU impass and lastly fooling and mocking God at Showgrounds on 18 October 15..
