Women as Drivers of Growth: The Zambia Case Study with Inonge Wina

Her Honour, Inonge Wina, the first female Vice President of Zambia, unveiled an initiative to support women entrepreneurs in Zambia. In her talk, Mrs Wina spoke about how, together with NGOs and the private sector, the Government of President Edgar Lungu will deliver a programme to provide healthy hygienic and integrated trading conditions for the one million women ‘street marketeers’ in Zambia.

Bo Inonge, the truth is that there is a fundamental problem with successive regimes in the way they handle these so called women empowerment programs. why do you want them to form clubs when you know that this is a failed approach – ever heard of the tragedy of the commons? the best way is empower them individually.
