GOVERNMENT says it is unfortunate that The Post Newspaper is trying to scandalise members of the advisory board of the House of Prayer for all Nations Tabernacle.
Chief Government spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili said yesterday that there is nothing wrong for the clergy to spearhead the construction of the House of Prayer because they are doing so for the love of God.
Mr Kambwili told ZNBC News in a telephone interview that Zambians are happy that Government has decided to build a national house of prayers.
He said The Post should realise that no amount of propaganda will stop the Christian community in Zambia from supporting the construction of the House of Prayer.
Mr Kambwili has since encouraged those appointed to sit on the committee not to be discouraged by a few individuals who do not want to appreciate the construction of the national house of prayer.
Why Fr. Chilinda don’t like St. Iginitius Catholic Church where he is employed, but prefer to support a new Church for PF called Tabernacle?

Whilst Lusaka is the seat of the Zambian Government, it is not the centre of God’s Kingdom. Where will Zambians not dociled in Lusaka go to worship as nationals of Zambia? The Government must then construct this church house in evry city and village for all citizens to utilise such a facility. But then, does God dwell in such structures only? No,….preach love, forgiveness and generally build the morals of the country and you would have worshipped God; not building expensive vessels at the expense of helping the poor and serving needles deaths in hospitals.
ECL is not forcing anyone to contribute…….if you’re not for the idea, stay away. In as much as you’ll be voting for your prefered candidate, I too will be voting for my prefered candidate who happens to be ECL.

Depending on the current economic crisis globally, this is a misplaced priority to say the least.
It is long awaited.This building will be used for mass inter denomination prayer services and the already declared national prayer day. We shall worship our God the creator without fear or shame. All those against this work needs prayers. Politics has brain washed them to an extent that they have stopped thinking like human beings. You need to calm down and ask God for forgiveness.

you fail to see the politics involved right under your nose. by what authority do politicians have to tell you to how, who or indeed where to worship? all of us have a plethora of places and gods to worship yet the “politicans” decide that there should be a “national church” and you are excited. it doesnt even have a denomination. you therefore cannot say “worship god with politics aside” because it exists entirely for political expedience. there is no gap that it is filling. “give unto ceasar(politicians) what belongs to ceasar and give God what belongs to him” does that sound familiar?

Allow me to advise the Chief government spokesperson. He should tell his master not to be hiding in the construction of the church as if he is true Christian. The people he is ruling are suffering(poverty). We are already comfortable with the already existing churches. The word of God Now is the source of income. Can the President tell us what he achieved the time he was practicing as a lawyer? What happened to the money he mismanaged for his client? Now that he has failed to put things in order as the President of the Republic and knows that come 2016 he will be out of office, his new Career will be a pastor. Somewhere in the 60s there was a drive to collect donations for the building of a university. That made sense because it covered a multitude from all walks of life. This one does not. We are not a theocracy, much as we are a so-called Christian nation. Therefore, to foist a House of Prayer on the people as a government is still as mind-boggling as bombing for peace. Enough said.

Such projects appeal to gullible Christians. First the fake declaration of the country as a Christian nation by Chiluba and now construction of a government church by Lungu. Who are the members of the advisory board? May be The Post knows the skeletons in the closet of each one of them. The GRZ should not defend people blindly just because it is the appointing authority. The sad thing is that in Zambia background check is never taken seriuously otherwise most of the so called ministers would not be holding those serious positions.
I thought since the national prayer day that Zambia was liberated and prosperity was coming. What happened? Ladies and gents..if we can pray away our problems..then just go homeat and pray and Jesus will come through. This is 2016..I still can’t comprehend why people believe in false prophets and a God that has not proven to exist or be real.
