  1. If you’re raised a Christian, you’re a Christian. If you’re raised a Muslim, you’re a Muslim. If you’re raised a Buddhist, you’re a Buddhist. If you’re raised a Satanist, you’re a Satanist. Any changes in beliefs stem from what we’ve learned or have been taught. If someone was raised to believe in invisible unicorns, they’d believe in invisible unicorns. Religious beliefs are simply what we have been taught to believe.

    • The reality is you can’t stop teenagers from having sex. They need to be taught responsibilities and consequences. Give them condoms!

Also districts should have a teacher college and a nursing school so that young people can aspire to something while they are in school.

The Headwoman is very intelligent but she needs to address sex not calling it by other names!

    • @Nubian, am not hitting on you, but I agree on CONDOMS.
No one and literary NOBODY is mentioning condoms.
I still have my first MAXIMUM condom (yellow-blue), 25 years ago!!We got from a workshop (maybe World Vision katwishi). Yes I kept 1 as a remembrance from those 4 packs, we tried with my school lover Miriam (Surname withheld). It was extremely better than live, no bruises, prolonged ejacu.., no diseases and definitely NO PREGNANCIES.
By-the-way, I made my school fees from selling ama maximum condoms to teachers and fellow students, I used to get from clinics, many people where shy. Especially teachers, so shy to go as get just for FREE.

    • Kuti walila mwe, my heart bleeds to see those daughters experiencing such a life.
To me even that reporter Penipher Nyerenda is young, supposed to be a virgin, but good role model.

  3. Pooor poor girls like “Belitta, who’s grandfather married her off to an old man at the age of 11 yrs old. ” the grandfather was paid 50 Kwacha for her lobola.(Which he used to buy alcohol and get drunk) One month later Bellita’s front teeth was knocked out by savage blows from her husband.

  4. 80 per cent live in poverty!?! In the 21st Century!?! 51 years after independence?!? All the govts that have been in power since then should be brought to book. They should be ashamed of themselves!

    • I think African countries should become colonies again, Africa has failed its own leadership since attaining these stupid independence and freedom. our parents were better off under colonial masters…….

  5. The report shows that: – Early marriages are mainly caused by poverty. Poverty is mainly caused by lack of education. Lack of education is mainly caused by early marriages. Early marriages are mainly caused by poverty. Poverty….. and the vicious circle starts all over again and again.
Something missing here. A genuine incentive, rather than a threat of Police arrest, needs to be added to this vicious circle to break it. Genuine skilled job vacancies, will cause an incentive to go to school and get the needed skills. The blueprint is: – These jobs can be brought about by setting up out-growers schemes. And then setting up processing factories to add value to what is produced out of these schemes. HH talked about this sort of blueprint.

    • God bless World Vision for their effort and support. But ultimately, when it comes to providing leadership, the buck stops at Edgar Lungu. But right now he clearly has no clue.

  6. FIRST, HATS OFF TO PENNIPHER NYIRENDA. PENNIPHER NYIRENDA AND PAIENCE CHISANGA ARE TWO BRILLIANT PRESENTERS IN ZAMBIA AND I CONGRATULATE YOU ‘GIRLS’. SECOND, LOOKING AT OUR YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN (both girls and boys), ONE WOULD CRY THAT 50 + YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE POVERTY IS STILL THE MAIN TOPIC IN ZAMBIA. I DO NOT BLAME THE PEOPLE (parents and their children) OF LUAPULA PROVINCE. IN HARD TIMES, THEY ARE ALL ONLY TRYING TO SURVIVE. I TOTALLY BLAME ALL OUR GOVERNMENTS FOR SUCH GROSS NEGLECT OF THIS PROVINCE WHICH HAS IN ABUNDANCE ANY RESOURCE ONE MAY THINK OF: MINERALS, TOURISM, FORESTRY, WATER, FISH, WILDLIFE AND NAME IT THIS PROVINCE HAS. GIVEN CHANCE I CAN TURN THIS PROVINCE INTO A BREAD BASKET OF AFRICA WITHIN A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS JUST BY USING THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE IN THE…

  7. GIVEN CHANCE I CAN TURN THIS PROVINCE INTO A BREAD BASKET OF AFRICA WITHIN A PERIOD OF 5 YEARS JUST BY USING THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE IN THE PROVINCE. IT IS THE EASIEST PROVINCE IN ZAMBIA TO TURN IT’S TOWNS INTO MODERN PROSPEROUS CITIES AND TOWNS. TOURISM AND FARMING ARE THE ENTRY POINTS AND THEN FOOD PROCESSING AND MANUFACTURING.

  8. The problem IS Zamba Gvt.
    1. Where are the law makers of the country? Wake up Zambians start consider the future of kids.
