Former Kitwe referee Francis Kasusu has hailed Kapiri Mposhi based FIFA referee Janny Sikazwe for winning the referee of the year award.

Sikazwe, 36, won the local award days after being short-listed for the 2015 Glo-CAF referee of the year award.

In an interview in Kitwe, Kasusu said Sikazwe deserves the accolades he is receiving.

“I know that young, he is a very good referee,” Kasusu said.

The Kapiri Mposhi teacher officiated at this year’s Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.

“He will go very far let him continue working hard,” he concluded.

Sikazwe also officiated at the Africa Cup in 2012 and 2013.

    • Analyst, he won the local award (ZAMBIA).

He’s been short-listed though, for the 2015 CAF
referee of the year award yet to take place.

  1. Hard work and consistency is its own reward. I like that even his countenance is that of humility and confidence. Well done, Jani. All the best with the Glo-sponsored awards…
