  1. Meanwhile Lungu has no of exactly what’s happening on the ground. His tooth-gap is far from being equivalent to the gap between reality & his luxurious state in the State House.

  2. Zambia is going through electricity challenges because of incompetency and unqualified top leadership, starting from the minister of energy, permanent secretary, ZESCO CEO, Board of directors and indecision by the government to make things happen. I can’t blame Dora SIliya for confirming Mr Victor Mundende who lied to MPs that the current load shedding is due to low rainfall (Engineering Institution of Zambia Report gives the true cause). Victor could have been fired the same day if he was working for a mining company because lying leads to implementation of wrong solutions. Right now ZESCO is making grave mistakes. Dora could have made a good government spokes person. Misplacement of decision makers is costing Zambia.

  3. OWN GOAL ZEDIAN’S!!
Enjoy your festivities in total Darkness, while the Visionless leaders you break your necks for enjoy feasting in warm bliss, & bright comfort.

  4. LT wants wrong with you people…you have posted this actual clip before just because another news agency posts the selfsame clip does not make it different..please wake up in 2016!!

  5. Zesco monopoly, huge revenues, no planing, lack of renovations in infrastructure, compounds not paying for electricity, greed, lack of leadership, Kariba Dam cracking, educated Zambians not leading, everyone for himself, laziness, church misleading people, kachasu for the nation, Yili-yili in bottles, unplanned kids, grandparents becoming parents again, too many nice matakos, alcohol and driving, increasing global debs, happy with charity, begging kids, street vendors under the stones, panadol in UTH, rubbish as Christmas decoration the whole year, money collectors on the road, Kawalalas as national sport, bubble on land waiting to blow, Chinesse names copping inmigration books, government has no change…. Who on earth or skies will change the cancer in Zambia society?

  6. That’s the worst news reader ever. She opens by fumbling through her reading. Is this a hoax?

We are an African nation, if things were too efficient we’d have to call ourselves Western! In any case things will improve, let’s stop moaning and help to improve things….by consuming less power!! Maybe charcoal, wood fire wasn’t that bad after all. Civilisation eh!

  7. It is unfortunate that any country has to experience power outages as this has adverse effect on the economic growth and the overall GDP. However, I find that some of the comments in the media by us as readers, citizens, pundits, observers, etc. are quite uncalled for and unconstructive.
Realistically, President Lungu has been in office for 12 months, and I do not see how he would have been able to assist with rectifying the current power crisis. I feel that Zambia as a country, and the government in office are doing everything in their power to remedy the situation. We should all take note that this is a lesson and not a mistake by anyone.
We have never experienced such massive outages before hence as a lesson, the government in office should implement a national energy master plan…
