Season’s greetings to you all in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Kindly allow me to make a quick comment on the ever increasing worrying error of fallacious self- made and self-acclaimed prophets that are taking advantage of easily misguided Zambians.

My heart breaks within me to note how deceived and spiritually abused our people are. A hoard of young men has invaded our beloved nation, turned many away from the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ. Our people have abandoned Bible doctrinal truth for deception and entertainment offered by mostly, the false prophets.

Let me state simply and clearly that in the New Testament dispensation, miracles are not the preserve of prophets, but that it is prominently the calling and function of Workers of Miracles. 1 Corinthians 12 is one example Bible passage teaching us this.

On the other hand, the calling and function of prophets in this dispensations is to bring local church congregation relevant unmediated messages from God during the gatherings of the Lord’s people. This is evident in 1 Corinthians 14.

The purpose of the prophecies is to bring churches a threefold help to uplift the believers. Verse 3 says the following: ‘But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.’

what we are seeing today in our nation is a deception, an abuse of people and a blatant disregard of the truth of God revealed in God’s word the Bible.

Therefore, what we are seeing today in our nation is a deception, an abuse of people and a blatant disregard of the truth of God revealed in God’s word the Bible.

Christians in our country must return to the Bible, fall in love with local church based Bible studies and prayer meetings. The believers must return to evangelistic witness to the unsaved people.

The Bible must be given the place it deserves in our lives so that instead of being misled in the way our beloved people are, we will grow in the love and knowledge of God through Jesus Christ.

Remember the warnings of the Bible about false prophets in Matthew 7.15-23:

‘[15] Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. [16] You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? [17] Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. [19] Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [20] Therefore by their fruits you will know them. [21] “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. [22] Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ [23] And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

These magic entertainment shows must never be attributed prophetic titles. To what purpose are the making of a little petrol or paraffin? What use is it to turn water into alcohol, or to float in the air? Do not magicians and Eastern religions practice levitation?

Satan is verily, playing on our people’s ignorance and curiosity (icimpwena) to lead them one step at a time into destruction.

If you ask me what needs to be done to address this danger, I will tell you that our people must shun these magic shows. They do nothing for the kingdom of Christ or for the sinner who needs to find the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Lastly, the Zambian government must protect our people from abuse and fraud by arresting and imprisoning these cheats and blasphemers.

These false prophets are not different from Simon the sorcerer of Acts 8.9-24. To them too, I say, repent and be baptised in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation.

    • Many of these rogues who claim to be “prophets”, “pastors” and “men of God” are not even Christians and don’t even know the Bible, but they prey on the ignorance and gullibility of so many people who are desperately trying to find God. Many of them are ordinary sorcerers and wizards who use divination to “prophesy,

  1. What everyone needs to know is that prophesy is there in the bible about the things to come. I am surprised that the current happenings are a surprise even to the Christian community. My people perish for lack of knowledge. It is written.

    • In Kenya, a very popular pastor was exposed on TV as a fraud a couple of times last year. Apparently he paid a number of people to pretend to have fits, disabilities, diseases and other troubles that miraculously disappeared when he touched them. The actors came out in their numbers to testify that their testimonies were fake. This hasn’t stopped people coming to his church, if anything, his services are as full today as they always were.

  2. The only problem is when the church you go to has no prophet then ‘ behold there will be false prophets …” when the church you go to has a prohet ” dont despise prophecy ..” are quoted respectivey and suitably. The Rev should have told us who are true prophets and where does he get authority to limit what God can do in one man because Jesus did both miracles and prophecies and said ” if you believe you will do even greater things than these”. So if some prophet is caught in adultery it may be true that he is fake from the begining or he may have just fallen to devil attacks in the process due to lack of intercesory from Rev Tembo et’l.

    • As a pastor in “pastor”, I can just wake up and tell a gullible follower that his/her poor uncle in the village is responsible for their life predicament and without thinking they would make enmity with the poor man.

I can tell that your best friend is responsible for your inability to make significant progress in life and viola best friends becomes enemies.

These bandits who parade themselves as men of God are the number one problem in the country, even ahead of the larceny politicians. For a better and productive society Zamban Christians must learn not to absolve whatever these thieves in the pulpit say and make an independent assessment of their deceptive sermon.

  3. Kano, did jesue do money miracles???? these miracles or prophecies we are seeing right now are they benefiting your soul??? how do you benefit from a miracle of ‘walking’ air?????

    • Sheep in wolves clothing. And some people will be calling him “Daddy” while he bangs their wives and daughters. These daily news about randy and diabolical men of God? is not encouraging at all.

  4. What is this crap about ‘false prophets’ – has there ever been a ‘real one’ ?

From TB Joshua AND to ALL OTHER “prophets” they are nothing but a bunch of crooks!

  5. They rob and steal from the people. They speak lies and utter vain prophecies and visions, leading people astray. They draw people to themselves, claiming to have a special relationship with God, but they lie and deceive the people. They claim to know everything about you but they lie, and know nothing! They sleep with married women and break the hearts of single women. They destroy homes and families. They destroy marriages, businesses and destinies. They are mere diviners and sorcerers and are no prophets of God at all.

  6. @lox127: My fellow sister, I agree that Jesus did not do miracle money but he also said Mathew 21:21 ” If you have faith and dont doubt, I promise that you can do what I did to this tree. And you will be able to do even more. You can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will”. It is just because of sin that you and me we have this contempt to the power of the Almighty. Even money can enter into your bank account otherwise you are telling me that the devil has more power than Jesus? Nay! He blesses us. Watch me in 2016 onwards, I will so rich that I will not entertain this idea of blogging with Pseudonyms – this just poverty that you and me have. Serious!

  7. Comment:The bible says it that in the last days there will be fulse prophat and here they are ,so just stand on what u know coz surely the son of is coming very ,very soon ,God bless u all people ,.,.,.’
