    • 4 years +90 days late! At least he has signed it the others only paid lip service. Now tackle political violence by disciplining your cadres, corruption with specific action of key figures, load-shedding all the Hydro projects that have been commissioned? This way you will not only be remembered for the right reasons but also remembered at the ballot box.

  1. Kolwe Lungu tapali efyo achitile makaka!!! Wasting tax payers money to sign a constitution which was manipulated over night.
Useless MP’s also fail to block it through Parliament! You people this constitution will come to bite you! How do you go and cheer someone sign something which you do not know the content?

Zambians wake and sort this guy out of office.
How can be sneaking from State House to see Dora
    *****************

  2. Good collection of pics. I wonder how long it took the beard man to grow that beard, awesome! Just a comment on Pics 7 and 8. Is that party regalia I am seeking. Did Madam Mumbi say that this ceremony was not to be politicized and therefore there was an instruction, nay, DIRECTIVE that no political regalia would be allowed. Another spin?

  3. Weldone, when are you repealing the PoA to ensure fairness in political scenario. The youth need to be involved in politics now going forward not the belly politics. HE reduce on alcohol you can be a good leader and visionary as you have made the first step of what you promised. You know very well that it will be tough to win yet you have shown some selflessness by signing what everyone failed. All parties including their minions like Post, ZWD, Lusakatimes, Daily Nation must now embark on reporting progressively and stop insults especially ZWD and Post. Let’s rebuild Zambia and we don’t need Anglo American or Freemasons we must fight that evil company and its followers.

  4. Thats my president! Approachable, simple and easy going! Manje baja ba Church elder beve bali unapproachable, rigid, bitter…….never seen his smile…..kikikikiki! What an elder!!

  5. This is real picture reporting. This is showing that one does not want to scandaliz. Now wait for pictures in some of the media just watch the space

    • @carls.u are right as the pictures show an empty stadium with few people as for the other media they learn towards upnd or kabimba which is understandable.otherwise the pics here reflect are very fair.

  6. The Heat is on, the clear silence from UPND minions like Fota Nkonde, Nostradamus, Mark Sido, Hilda Malama, Rizzo, mwe bantu, IQ138, The Mentalist, james buga, Napapa Sana, loadist, Men In Black, Lucy, Careless Whisper, Ndobo, A Phiri ana bwe.., Jay Jay, Planzo, Dudelove, Chils, Fighter, finite, and other well-known, fully paid bloggers tells you how cheap these individuals are, they hoped the constitution making process would be frustrated. The fact the ECLs government has delivered the constitution within ten months of assuming office at a lower cost is commendable.

    • @the démocrate.thanks for mentioning my name.however am not upnd ask, daniel chisenga, nicolas banda ,depurty minister local govt and other pf govt officials.i do a fair analysis.this is not a people driven constitution but the steps ECL has done are better than nothing, though i would have loved the whole constitution going the referedum route as that would have represented the people s wishes.

  7. Nice pics and well done ECL. Please help me understand: Is there a difference between Watching Processions’ and ‘Watching Proceedings’?

  8. That’s my Presido. The numbers in the stadium were amazing, I thought ZWD reported that the stadium was empty that Zambians ignored the signing ceremony. What’s wrong with these haters called ZWD? For a week day the crowds were astonishing to say the least. Viva ECL well done you have my vote!

    • @lyeeee,are we looking at the same pictures or what?look at pic,3,4,8,14,16,17,18,20,40,and 41.the rest of pic are for bearded rastaman or ECL .so what haters ,u are in denial that the signing of the bill was a flop tho its the right step taken after a long time.atleast ecl will be remembered for his 20% step towards mental liberation of zambians.

  9. I think the cost and audience matters less to this phenomenon than it’s value it has brought to Zambia. Ecl and pf govt have never said no to referendum but the will of the majority who may not participate and cause it to fail. Imagine if we went for a referendum failed to meet 50percent the whole constitution would’ve flopped at a huge expense. Better non contentious issues are dealt out. But that beard is too much…Kikikiki.

  10. The haters have been shamed, even the kwacha has gained on this good news. And wait for the GDP numbers in the first quarter

  11. Pic. 25. I would like to know that the Chief Justice cracked that made ECL laugh like that. I failed to get it when I was watching TV

  12. The numbers were not much look at the empty seats.Infact even where there are some crowd the pictures still show alot of empty seats. He could have signrd it from state house. We dodnt seem to be cost conscious even when the economy is shamefull.

    • The point is that he delivered a new constitution. He has stated a chapter in Zambia history were other amendments will written on. He is a hero.

  13. Explain why we had few people despite massive advertising. Keep on mis using national resources you have only 6 months to Go.Mwe fipuba Lungu simply signed a constitutional bill he has not yet given us a new constitution the process is on going. We still have the bill of rights and other closes to be considered via the referendum.

    • This constitution has done it for me dear. The thing I’m dreading on the bill of rights is the so called economic rights where people can sue govt for no jobs, shelter and food!!!! Sounds good to the ear but a fairy tale in a 3rd world country like Zambia. People just need to work hard and earn themselves a decent living rather lazy around eyeing to live off taxpayers money.

    • Umwina nkana, maybe you should read the declaration of human rights article number 25. Then you will understand why people felt it important that they could sue the government if not given jobs and social security etc. I believe zambia appended its signature to these declarations and so, the government should live up to it in some sort of way.

  14. Excellent chagwa keep up the good work. The constitution is not for any party but the Zambians.I like the pics ,and Nevers that’s the way to go. Sometimes you put aside politics and you celebrate with the nation.

  15. The stadium was not full – fact. I still insist that there was no need for all that ceremonial hullabaloo to witness an assent to a few amendments.
Could ECL get down to some work now, please.

  16. This is a show to win the minds of people. Constitutional amendment has got nothing to do with the oppression that is taking place in the country. Intimidation, corruption and surviving on borrowed money to please the people, is now part of the culture. If today you are a beneficially from this system , tomorrow it will be your children who will pay the price. Be wise and analytical. You will realism that this is not a working government.

  17. MUPONTE OR NOT..THE CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN SIGNED AND NO TURNING BACK PEOPLE OF ZAMBIA…… U HAVE OUR VOTE LUNGU AND INFACT WE WILL GIVE U 60% +1

  18. If this amended constitution does not treat emerging tribalism among a people once so united, proud and free, then it has failed. Zambia is no longer the same. Even kids born just yesterday are spitting venom of hate against those people different from them. Do we know how much sacrifice our forefathers put in to bind Zambia as a united nation and why?

  19. It amazing how the hate site ZWD and the hate tribe party UpNd conduct themselves. Now even the Past paper has joined in hating and hurting. Look whether or not there were 5 people at heroes disaster stadium to witness the signing, there is a new constitution that many governments have failed to deliver in many years. Because of this he will get 60%+1 in August. Like it or not brave Mr Kabotolo. This is why I like drunks, they deliver were intellectuals fail.

  20. It seem like people failed to understand why the sign ing has to be held at heroes stadium.
For the matter of accommodating those who wished to have this memorable occasion and Land Mark Signing ceremony must be held where everyone who need to attend must feel free to go.
It is not President Lungu’s Constitution but some political leaders are ignorant of what was happening starting to even Question where money even came from to hold such a function.Money came from the government tax payers money for it is the Government function all the Ambassadors and other foreign dignatories had to attend and they are the ones who will tell their respective government that now Zambia has a conducive atmosphere to invest because they have put in place the good governing policies through their…

  21. How are do you celebrate a very badly done job? Zambia has really fallen from grace to grass! You know very well this is a half-baked constitution it has been designed to address only special interests and falls short of the standard required to be a basis for social, economic and political advancement. You are behaving like heaven has fallen then everything is now bless. It is now clear and refreshing that most Zambians are now capable of seeing thru this veil of wanton corruption, and this is crystal clear from the half-empty stadium.

  22. Nothing interesting about the event. Stadia looks half empty..others are still unmoved about the new constitution…goodluck people!!!
