PF Secretary General Davis Chama has called on politicians in the country to stop practicing politics of deceit and start exercising politics of truth.
Mr. Chama said politicians spent time crying for a people- driven constitution yet when the bill was passed they started back tracking.
“Politics of truth must be exercised by politicians. politicians have been saying we want a people- driven constitution that will respect the will of the people and there has been a bit of deception.
They were demonstrating in parliament that they want the constitution but when Parliament passed the Bill the same politicians started back tracking, that is default of the truth, deceiving the Zambian people,” Mr. Chama said.
And Mr. Chama has said that the constitution making process has taken long because the PF wanted to include the views of every one including the minority groups who were opposing the constitution.
“It has taken a bit of time because we wanted to include the views of all Zambians including those minority who were opposing the constitution so that we take the views of everyone on board,” he said.
He further expressed happiness that the ruling party had delivered on their promise to give the people of Zambia a people- driven constitution.
He was speaking at Heroes stadium shortly after witnessing the assenting of the Constitution Bill by Republican President Edgar Lungu yesterday.
After leaving/dropping out clauses from the draft constitution, it became PF driven constitution. That is what objective people were against including the mode of enacting it Sir. You have failed to dupe the people of Zambia.

I truly believe there is a disconnect between his brain and his mouth. Does he seriously believe what he says. There is some good in the amended constitution but it is not the new people driven constitution. Only PF cadres believe otherwise. It’s understandable, they are cadres. And from experience I believe cadres are not expected to think.
