PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Davies Chama has said people must focus on the bigger picture and challenges confronting the people in the country.

Mr Chama said yesterday that it was sad that some people were spending much of their time in spreading falsehood on the social media instead of looking at the bigger picture of job creation.

He said it was sad that most of the people were busy spreading hate speeches on the social media.

“Let us focus on the bigger picture and other challenges confronting the people. For example people wants employment but instead of dealing with the job creation they spend most of their time on social media spreading falsehood,” he said.

Mr Chama said the country cannot be built if people spend most of their time in discussing individuals.

He said the country could only develop if people start working together instead of being petty.
“There is too much suspicion and I may say it has been 24/7 suspicion and lies are being created on the social media which I find it disturbing,” he said.

Mr Chama said as the country was heading for the tripartite elections there was need for different political players to unite.

He said unity was paramount for the development saying the PF Government had brought a lot of developments in the country.

He also said Matero Member of Parliament (MP) Miles Sampa was still a genuine member of the ruling party.

He said people should not become spokesperson of Matero MP because he had indicated that he would not leave the party which he founded together with late republican president Michael Sampa who was his uncle.

Mr Chama said it was regrettable that some people have gone beyond in bringing misunderstandings between Mr Sampa and the party base of some media reporting.

He said some media have continued peddling lies against Mr Sampa who was a loyal member of the party.

He also said the party was geared for the general elections which would be held on August 11th this year.

  1. It is Chama, Chimbwili, Frank Bwalya and PF in general who have focused our attention on their obsession with tribe. This just confirms how PF is a tribal party. In 2011, over 90% of their parliamentary candidates, even in places like Livingstone and Matero, were Bemba speakers. PF want to turn everything in Zambia into Bemba. WE REFUSE!

    • Imagine a Zambia in which K5 buys £1 and K3 buys $1, a Zambia in which education is well funded to avoid unnecessary stoppages and strikes, a Zambia in which all citizens enjoy freedoms without aligning themselves to a ruling party, a Zambia free of corruption at all levels of government, a Zambia where doing business is as easy as riding a bicycle, a Zambia where tribal hatred will be outlawed………..These are not mere imaginations because under the Late Mwanawasa Zambia had achieved 85% of them.

Well folks now is the time to stop imagining, and turn your imagination into reality by voting UPND and HH team to deliver all your wishes and imaginations.

2016 vote UPND and the HH team.

  2. “People must focus on the bigger picture
and challenges confronting Zambia”, yes Chama, people like HH are focusing on that but first they should help in throwing away bad seeds like you.

  3. That is exactly what HH is doing and e the progressive people are happy to see someone being realistic. Chama is basically talking about the issues in PF and its leaders who are busy being petty and making accusation for those they consider enemies…..

  4. I would concentrate on the big picture if:
    1. There was no load shedding or if there is, I have the means to use alternate means.
    2. Getting anywhere is an adventure. You are treated like bags of maize in public transport and I cannot afford the reconditioned garbage being imported into the country.
3.When I fall sick, it is a nightmare. I am a child of God in a Christian nation but I am nobody and therefore, there is no adequate medical treatment for me.
    4. None of the basic community services work, there is garbage everywhere and the sight of poverty at each and every corner makes me depressed.
    5. Arrrgh, the list is endless! I would need endless time to complete it.
    6. Could you please let me know which bigger picture I should be looking at?

  5. The new Boko Haram Chama is becoming interesting everytime he opens his mouth. I wouldn’t be surprised if he clashes with Kadansa soon. Has this got anything to do with the flat tummy loving Mumbi Phiri? Just wondering.

  6. It is unbelievable that this Chama can talk to us about been petty, when PF and it’s government that always been petty from inception to date. As for this Chama, your Kambwili only the other day was insults other tribes. You should be the last person to talk about a big picture which I doubt you know how it looks like.
On the question of who is petty, unless you are demented it is PF. That said, you should have just addressed this quietly within your party without bringing it in public domain. That is how not to be petty looks like.

  7. The Focus is there Chama.
    The focus is #CHAGWAMUSTFALL, #LUNGUAYENDE’. #Chama,Kambwili,Kaizer, Munbi,MustGO!!

  8. Has Chama just awoken from some outer planet where he was in a dream and landed on the earth and in Zambia to be particular? Fellow Zambians let’s build capacity for longer memories while Davies Chama books himself in a rehabilitation institution! Fact is at least he feels the heat and seeks a comfortable niche than either being thrown out in the cold or shoved deeper into an oven of rising temperature!
