Celebrated Zambian musician Brian Bwembya popularly known as B-Flow has welcomed President Edgar Lungu’s decision to drop General Kanene as GBV Ambassador.

B-Flow who is also an Ambassador against GBV said he fully supports President Lungu’s decision saying this will serve as a lesson to all artistes that their songs must not only shape other people’s lives but theirs too.

“When General Kanene was pardoned by H.E President Edgar Lungu, I THOUGHT that Kanene would make the President proud by helping the nation to transform perpetrators of violence into good and peaceful men,” B-Flow said.

He added, “I personally posted here that I was happy that Kanene was a free man, coz everyone desires to have freedom. In short, I wasn’t against the pardoning because it was done within the President’s constitutional powers. What I wasn’t sure about was the part where Kanene was appointed as ambassador in the fight against gender based violence(on top of the pardon) because I felt Kanene needed time to organise himself after his time in jail. He needed time to think about his life so as to start a new page.”

The singer said it is clear that Kanene has not met the President’s expectations in executing his duties as ambassador saying maybe he was not ready for the role.

“This will serve as a lesson to all of us (artists) that our songs and lessons must not only shape other people’s lives but ours too. We ought to be the example others will emulate. I think the President has made the right decision. On this one I agree with H.E E.L.”

B-Flow has since urged the nation to put General Kanene in prayers that this will not frustrate him but encourage him to even be a better person.

“I believe he can still make a good name for himself and become an ambassador appointed by his fans (if he deserves it). God bless the nation Zambia and the works of the citizens.”

  1. That fool deserves to be in prison. I wish the president could send him back to prison. otherwise Kanene embarrassed the president

  2. I TRIED TO LISTEN TO B FLOW’S MUSIC ON YOUTUBE. I WAS SHOCKED TO LISTEN TO THE SAME RUBBISH WE GET FROM ZAMBIA. CAN’T OUR MUSICIANS BE ORIGINAL? DIDN’T OUR MUSICIANS KNOW THAT THERE ARE SO MANY BASS LINES? EVERY ZAMBIAN MUSICIAN JUST USES ONE BASS LINE. COME ON GUYS, BE INNOVATIVE.

  3. Most musicians in Zambia their songs are based on praising ladies. What can so called B-Flow cheat even himself cant be an Ambassador for GBV.Just because u are given something frm the failing party in Government (PF) and start praising someone who has made u buy a bread at K10.

  5. Ba peter, just because you are overseas does not give you the audacity to call peoples music rubbish, you come up with your own album and let the people listen to it then you can come on the forum and write trash about your songs. Trust me it’s not easy as it looks.
