Outspoken Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali has sensationally attacked President Edgar Lungu describing his leadership as mediocre.
Mr Tayali said President Lungu should personally take the blame for the failure by his senior aides and Ministers to perform according to people’s expectations.
In a lengthy Facebook posting, Tayali said mediocrity is in President Lungu himself and jot his officials.
“People keep blaming the State House staff that, they shield President Lungu, I don’t think I am accepting that anymore because at the end of the day he is the boss with power to make his team work to his satisfaction. Mediocrity is in the President himself (if you want hate me for telling you the truth),” Mr Tayali said.
“I told President Lungu to fire Kaingu and sort out the UNZA problem, but till now President Lungu is holding on to the problem not knowing that it is growing like a political boiler. Please Ba PF stop taking people for granted, I must tell you that your way of doing things is far below the expectations of a ruling party.”
Mr Tayali said President Lungu should know that leadership is not about being closed up in State House talking to a handful same people saying President Lungu should open those doors of State House and listen to raw data, then process it.
“President Lungu as far as am concerned is inaccessible to the ordinary Zambians including his vital PF cadres. He has turned out to be an elitist President instead of being with the people,” he said.
He added, “FTJ and Sata used to call people from State House or when they are abroad to clarify issues but I have never heard it from Lungu, actually even me I don’t know President Lungu. But I know almost all his workers but that is not enough to feel that my issues are taken care of.”
“Yes, people have different style of leadership but you can adopt what has worked in the past. Going to visit compounds and listening to a few carefully selected people, especially Chiefs, will not help him. You cannot know people by simply shaking hands with them as you go by.”
Its about time people like Tayali have stopped bootlicking PF. PF has failed & Lungu to be voted out soon.
For sure PF is now feeling extreme heat, 5 years of Donchi Kubeba sickness is coming to an end in 3 months.
