Immediate past FAZ treasurer Kelvin Mutafu has confirmed that he won’t contest the association’s election at the March annual general meeting in Kitwe.
Mutafu resigned as FAZ treasurer last October- days after alleging that the association was corrupt.
Before quitting Mutafu claimed that Zambia lost the Nike kit deal because of alleged corruption at FAZ.
“I received numerous calls and messages as regard to my position on the coming FAZ elections, despite being on the centre of things,I have decided not to re-contest my position,” he stated.
“I believe the football family is not short of leaders to continue from where we stopped,” Mutafu said.
The ex-Forest Rangers chairman said administrators should aim at ensuring that Football House is corrupt free.
“This should not be the time of luxury of divisions. Differences must be submerged to the achievement of one common goal and that should be a corrupt free Football House, for the good of all,” he said.
The elective FAZ Annual General Meeting will be held on 19th March at Moba Hotel in Kitwe.
I salute Mutafu for being brave to expose corruption. But I urge him to Fight on! Never say die. The fight againist corruption is NOT easy!
Indeed this bravery and the person who dispute mutafus claim has been exposed as the culprit just imagine K400 000 using it to campaign for a corrupt regime student of corrupt plunderer Blatter

Mr kelvin mutafu i can`t agree with you,if you know that some members of FAZ are corrupt why can`t you challenge them by contesting the key position in FAZ so that you can deal with those who are corrupt.All what you did was to run away and start talking about the things you did because you were part of the group may be balekuchezula.you are not brave,you are a coward man someone can he even grab you your wife.you are not strong just keep quite you are a failure.
