Game Stores Country Manager Vincent Palan who was charged with indecent assault and sexual harassment of female employees has been acquitted.

Delivering judgment in a parked courtroom, Chief Resident Magistrate Aridah Chulu acquitted Palan because the prosecution team provided inconsistent evidence.

Magistrate Chulu also wondered why Mukamuluti Mwila only reported the alleged harassment two years after she was fired from the store.

She said it was clear that Mwila had a bone to chew with Palan adding that none of the witnesses testified in matter.

And Palan thanked God for the acquittal.

He said the truth in the matter has finally prevailed.

Meanwhile, Mwila wept uncontrollably after verdict was passed but vowed that the battle was not over.

    • Chief Resident Magistrate Aridah Chulu must also ask those ladies in America who only reported the rape cases by Bill Cosby over 10 years after the scene itself. Useless Judge. Dont acquit the wicked just because they have money or can give you a kick back..

    • CONGRATULATIONS MR PALAN. I know most women (not all women) can deviously lie when they fail to get what they wanted. Maybe, it’s the girl herself who wanted to sleep with you but as a man of principles you ignored her. And then after two years when she was broke she thought she can brew up something and make some free money out of your descent nature. However, my advice is: BE CAREFUL WITH WOMEN.

    • No surprises there! The BIGGEST IMPEDEMENT to women’s civil/human rights in Zambia is women themselves. One would think a Female judge would be very sympathetic to another woman who is a victim of sexual harassment and male chauvinism.

Usually victims of sexual harassment just like in cases of r@pe, are afraid, humiliated, ashamed, confused, and everything else that accompanies acts of this nature. So they are usually intimidated to come forward sooner and report such crimes to authority, especially if perpetrators are powerful men with money and the justice system seems to work against them all the time.

Two years is NOT such a long time for a victim of sexual harassment to wait before reporting such humiliating conduct by their boss to authority. By the way, what is the statute…

  1. Here in England people who committed crimes against women 60 years ago are being sent to prison in their old ago that judge was corrupted fire him how do you let that ***** go free?

    • @Frank your so tribal and sexist… you the type of scum who abuse and rape women because of their alleged tribe and just because they are women… you are a waste of space.

  2. Palan, you should go before God and repent if ever you did it.God cannot be mocked and cannot be cheated. You do not thank God if you know deep down your heart that you committed the act.Your can run from mundane verdict but not from God.The best is to repent and stop your old ways.A real man will go before God,even before he utters any word from his mouth.
If the woman wanted to frame you into something that you did not commit,God will punish her.He does not desire to dent someone’s reputation. She is equally supposed to repent if ever she lied.
At the end of it all,God knows the truth.

    • @mbaluso you are right.
God has already started punishing this lying woman. The man has been acquitted and the fake prosecution witnesses were no where to testify. God really works wonders.

  3. The so called learned magistrate has, once again, denied another woman an opportunity to stop a social ill of sexual harassment. Iwe magistrate time is not a factor in crimes. Even our fore-fathers knew that ‘Umulandu taubola” meannig “A crime does not rot”. Such cases are very very very difficult to report. Even in the judiciary, ZIALE, Law schools, police, teachers, the army, etc there are so many women who are being sexually assaulted day in and day out. Even as i write this piece of note some magistrate, some employee at a Concoli company, and may be some catholic nun has just passed through this social ill and will never report. Bone to chew. Foolish magistrate.

  4. Law has nothing to do with TRUTH. It is all about how you argue and present your arguments backed by evidence. This is called COMMON LAW positivism, a murderer walks Scot free, a thief walks Scot free, an abuser walks Scot free, not because they are innocent but because they had a better argument than the prosecution. Therefore, it is not his fault that the court has acquitted him, if anyone has a bone to chew, chew it with the law.

    • Yes law is like a game – the best player wins. My sister Mwila was harassed and sexually assaulted when she was in employment. After two years pa baulova she went too fix the guy, albeit but with a poorly designed defence team.

    • Dont you see anything wrong with witnessses not testifying …dont you see that the system disadvantages the poor..this can be your sister or cousin.
      Wake up!!

  5. This is so wrong at all levels..how can none of the witnesses not testify…why is the wondering why she reported after 2years.. so what!!

  6. Of course it took her 2 years because she feared for her job. I think the lady was also dumb, because she relied so much on political pressure instead of helping the prosecution to prove the case. Let her file for a civil case if she thinks she has a strong case.

  7. Indians (MWENYES) in Zambia think they can fucck any Zambian woman.. at night they patrol in their cars looking for Zambian women to fucck. Day time they pretend they never seen those same women.
The mothafaka is guilty!! He r a p e d another girl in South Africa before he transfered to LSK
