The FAZ appeals committee has thrown out FAZ treasurer aspirant Alex Munasha’s appeal to have his nomination be reinstated ahead of the elective 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 19 in Kitwe.
The Nkana treasurer was nixed from standing at the FAZ AGM because he has not served for the required four years on the clubs executive.
FAZ appeals committee chairperson Judge Martin Musaluke said Munasha failed to produce any legitimate documentation proving he had continuously served on Nkana executive committee since 2012.
“The registration form which has been submitted by Mr Munasha is not authentic and genuine,” Judge Musaluke said.
“That being the case, Mr Munasha has failed to prove his membership at Nkana FC to prove his requisite four years to stand for the position of FAZ Treasurer.
“We therefore uphold the decision of the (FAZ) Legal Committee to disqualify him from standing as a treasurer for the FAZ Annual General Meeting.”
The ruling means Rix Mweemba sails through unopposed as FAZ treasurer.
